    So I don't need an extra pinter AND sublimation ink AND sublimation paper to put a desing on fabric??? That's GREAT! Thank you so much for your video. It helped me clarify all my doubts! You're the best!

      Yes you can get this same look on fabric. Please note that this will not last as long as sublimation.

    This is awesome! Your instructions and projects were perfectly understandable (which I really enjoy watching your tutorials)! I never really understand printable heat transfer vinyl until now and I am envisioning a lot more projects with this method. I don't understand sublimation so this is perfect for my needs. Thank you so much, Angie!

    I have yet to see a more professional and helpful video with varying materials and processes than yours. Thank you SOO much! I am confused on how the product manufacturers word their material. It says it's Printable VINYL...but, it seems to be more of a printable fabric material as opposed to actual vinyl-but, that may just be my perception. Thanks again for this video-extremely helpful. :-)

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 роки тому

      Yes it is printable heat transfer vinyl. It is basically a vinyl with an adhesive on the back that is heat activated and works on fabric.

    I've wasted so much vinyl because the backing will not separate from my printed image! I called my local shop and requested a different brand because of this. I'm glad to see you had difficulty with it also (not just me lol) and I will try the solution you had but it takes forever with some designs to do that with individual letters, etc. Also, when you don't use transfer tape the image curls up and before you can center it on heat press it is ruined (from the heat)! So frustrating! However, thanks for this video - I will keep trying! Guess I need to break out the easy press instead?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  4 роки тому

      I think I would use transfer tape if I wanted individual letters. That is way more complicated than just picking and placing one image!

    Great content, I enjoyed it but i think its uneven or unequal pressure that gave the wood design rusty look, may be you should try it on fabric and work on the pressure, if u will get d same result. I haven't use starcraft before but I have use forever product for both light n dark materials and I got great result with heat press.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 роки тому

      I would say this is correct but there will always be uneven pressure on wood as the surface is never completely flat. The fabric pieces all worked fine.

    Angie - thanks for the great information. I just subscribed and have found your videos to be SO helpful. I have a quick question - when using wood, have you found anyway to make the result not so "rustic" and more crisp and clear the way the transfers look on fabric?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  Рік тому

      I have not with this material. I have used tattoo paper to transfer images to wood with good luck. However, the wood grain always shows through so it is a bit "farmhouse" by nature.

    Is there a special ink you have to use with your inkjet with the printable vinyl? I'm asking because the regular inkjet ink is water soluble, which if you've ever dripped something on a printed page you know what I mean. And since you need to be able to wash any clothes you use this on, I was curious how well regular ink would hold up.
    The same issue with putting prints on wood since you would most likely end up sealing the project with one or more coats of polyurethane or varnish.
    Thanks for the great videos and for all you do to help this community out.

    My printable HTV designs always bleed after I was fabric. I don’t use fabric softener and I wash them many days after I ironed it on the t-shirts. I’ve tried putting mod podge for fabric on top and they still bleed. Any suggestions for sealing my printable HTV? Do they sell clear HTV that I can iron on top? I’m using epson EcoTank et4800 with ink that it came with, 522 which I recently learned it’s dye. That’s the ink that printer calls for. I don’t know if it’s ok to switch to 502 ink which is pigment. In my experience in the distant past, ink jet printer ink couldn't handle getting wet. Is it the type of ink you are using or the Starcraft product that keeps the ink from running when wet? Since you're putting this on clothing, it has to be washable.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  4 роки тому +2

      Washing instructions are: turn garment inside out, wash in cold water with mild detergent, do not bleach. Dry on low heat or hang dry. Do not iron directly on transfer. I don't know what the magic is but is is washable.
