I can't believe how good this video is! Thank you so much for putting on the work and literally doing 35 laundry cycles only to show us the results!! Your UA-cam channel is amazing!
Thank you for making such a comprehensive video and thoroughly covering each of the types of heat transfer material. I have been trying to figure out the differences between them for several months. This video is the best comprehensive video I've seen that covers all the available materials for heat transfer projects. Well done.
WOW! I felt like I was in school because I was taking notes throughout. This is a great video. You explain things very well for beginners like me. Keep up the great work!
FIRST: I'm sure it isn't news to you that your videos are 1 of only a couple of producers that many of us look for. They are thorough, easy to follow, to the point, on subject, etc. I know that when i commit my valuable time to watching that i will GAIN good and valuable information. Thank you for your efforts. AND thanks most of all for NOT telling me about your big toe accident and cackling at every little thing...how annoying...I offer encouragement for keeping up the excellent work.
For me you are the best Angie. You deserve millions of views & subscribers. Hopefully your page grow more. I appreciate all the time you put in to show us which product is good or not. ❤🥰 More blessings to you.
Thank you so much! I am dying for someone to do a test on specialty materials deco films. Cuttin corners vinyl uses a ton of it but that's the only channel I have ever found that uses it.
Thank you so much for this incredible comparison test! You have now saved me a lot of money. The printable paper and printable by now we’re all on my list to try. Thank you for all of the times that you put into this test it’s very valuable information💕
I always run to your videos when I need an answer to a question because you always explain well and to top it off your always so real when your reviewing stuff
I just wanted to point out that the press that is used in general also makes a difference and if you pull the back hot or cold.....some will crack because they are suppose to be removed while hot to absorb into the shirt and not remain in the surface. Awesome video HTV is awesome
Thank you Angie. This is true dedication to your viewers. I truly appreciate you going the extra mile to help me to make the best decisions about how I spent my money. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The best videos you can find at UA-cam about this topic are in this channel!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and this great information.
Brilliant video. I love how you printed the name of each product on the items.. It made it so much easier to follow plus having a non laundered shirt.. This was a fabulous comparison. I wonder if different colors fade faster. As a hair colorist some colors do fade more quickly.. And as handy homeowner I find even within the same paint brands some colors hold better...
Great video! But personally, of the printable products, I thought the dark fabrics htv was the worst by a long shot! The cracks were huge whereas the other printable products cracks were smaller and gave it a kind of nice distressed look! 😍
Thank you for taking the time to complete these experiments for us to see. Very helpful and educational. I did have a question though. How do you use infusible markers on a shirts, and which is the best type of shirt material that should be used?
@@AngieHolden oh so you don’t need special sublimation paper with the infusible ink markers? The only thing holding me back from sublimation is that I don’t like wearing polyester at all. I wish some mad scientist would invent something similar for cotton!
Great video!!! I’m sooo glad I came across this. I just ordered 4 packs of the printable paper to test, literally, 5 min before I watched this video, I hurried up and cancelled the order. I’ll stick to sublimation! Thank you so much for all the content you put out, I love watching your videos. You do an awesome job explaining everything very clearly.
Next experiment - can you please see if you can hack heat transfer vinyl on cheap mugs using the mug press? There’s a few videos, but your research methods are so so so thorough - I know we’ll get the knowledge we all need from you. Btw - just found you this morning and I’m so glad!

Great info!! ❣❣❣ Would you be willing to do a glitter HTV, metallic HTV, electric HTV holographic HTV and printed HTV comparison? Thank you!!
I worked for a digital apparel company 30 years ago... still have some apparel that went thru 100's of washes with sublimation.. its the best hands down even against this new tech... what you need to see is up close... we used a microscope when we were dealing with fabrics to see how different inks embedded or didn't.. Sublimation actually embeds itself into the core fibers, while many other methods sit on top and thus will eventually come off.
Thank you! I am new to this and I have to say this has been one of the most helpful videos in assisting me in determining what route to go when getting started!
Now that Hiipoo has released their own transfer paper I would greatly appreciate if you could find the time in your busy schedule to do a similar test run in the wash. It would be so much cheaper than Siser. Thank you kindly. This is one of the most useful videos on UA-cam!
@@AngieHolden Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the following product listed on Amazon: Hiipoo Inkjet Iron-on Heat Transfer Paper for Dark and Light Fabric T-Shirt Transfer Paper for Inkjet Printer Printable and Washable Heat Transfer Vinyl for T-Shirts.

Just want to say thank you Angie for being so kind to this "pita". You have been nothing but awesome . This video did answer some of the questions..but when is it that I have to use a transfer heat paper on top of the design? Is there different vinyl and i just got lucky and picked the right kind? Or has it got to do with light vs dark blanks
If you need a transfer mask, it is most likely on a printed or patterned vinyl. So something that the manufacturer has printed then you have to add the mask. It will state that you need one when you purchase.
but we also have to take into consideration that vinyl isnt really good on poly is more for cotton best. but i am in love with sublimation. thank you for this test

Obviously the most cost effective in the sublimation/infusable ink category would be to get the printer, especially if you're thinking of constantly making shirts. However, say you plan to make about 30 shirts per year, would it still be too expensive to use infusible inks?
