Very unique and chill ost for a shmup. Such a great game and easily one of the most technically impressive games on the snes with the mode 7 background in level 2. Not to mention no slowdown which most snes shooters suffered from. Old school Compile were kings.
Getting some house style beats from the first song. Reminds me of Streets of Rage. Never got past the first level but I already love the music in it lol.
I remember the music being SLOWER in this game. ?!!!?!?!? I don't know why. Soundtrack is very very 90s KTU stuff. I would expect to hear like Cathy Dennis on it or something :).
Did you play the PAL / EU version? All games of this era were slowed down by around 10% (gameplay, music, everything!) due to 50Hz, so us in the PAL territories had slower games for this entire generation.
@@alexbedwell5227 Music is not slower in the PAL version. Music in particular is rarely slower in PAL 16-Bit games on OG hardware. That being said, I'm used to playing the PAL version of Super Aleste with 60hz switch, and it did accelerate the OST even compared to NTSC (none of my other physical games did that), and it's my prefered way to listen to the music. On UA-cam in the speed rate, I put "custom" then 1.15x, it's close enough.

This game is outstanding. Another shooter with no slowdowns was Rendering Ranger R2

Go to 19:45!
I hacked my SNES Mini to get this bad boy on it and play regularly. One of my favourite SNES games from my youth .
The best shoot em up on the SNES in my opinion. Truly incredible in every way.
One of the best of the entire generation
It's an awesome game. I enjoyed playing it.
One of the best shooters for Super NES!
WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! Knew I'd eventually find this somewhere! Niceeeee ✌🏾😸
Fantastic game and music
The soundtrack still sounds incredible
Fantastic music
I once played this game three times though 3 times in a row after a night of clubbing just so I could groove to the music.
Nice memories!

Yes, quite hard!
finally I can listen to this soundtrack without it being on a server thats 5 planets away 😌
Nice music and great game 😄
6. Labyrinth is definitely influenced by New Order (Blue Monday @ 7:08, and Perfect Kiss @ 7:37).
I really like those songs 😃
@@SNESMusicFactory can you hear the resemblance? It is without a doubt a direct influence.
@@Chal0099 Yeah, I think it's pretty clear 😃
Remember the credits reminding me a little of the piano bit from Layla
I was expecting something closer to Musha Aleste because of the name
The alternative labarinth theme was never used in the EU version, Super Aleste
Didn't know that data, thanx 😄😄

I remember it being slower too on the US version... just slightly.
