    THANK YOU! This was super easy, and I am happy to have spent the cost of the filters, and then 20 minutes changing out my engine (and cabin) air filters, instead of paying for probably an hour's worth of "labor" for a car shop to do it. Much appreciated!

    Thanks for the video!! Dealership quoted me $377 to do it! Which is absurd. So thanks for explaining it so I can do it myself

    Hey! I have a 2012 Cruze too. A silver one. With 50k and in the last 10k miles ive had a water pump and alternator go out. Thank Guthix for warranty.

    • @KelseyJonesrunescape
      @KelseyJonesrunescape  6 років тому +2

      Glubbdubdrib My warranty has gone out after the 3 year mark. My water pump has gone out as well . Had to get my engine replaced at 10k miles (was under warranty then)
      Now I’ve got another issue with my thermostat housing unit and transmission!! Ughhh

Now check engine light code p0420. Purge valve code bought new part. Intake manifold sensor switch runner arm. We are thinking we got a bad Apple of the bunch. Way to many problems. Car has 135,000 now. We keep up with maintaince .but ??

    I have 2012 LT chevy cruze 18xer
    Tired with it there is a lot of problems in this car.

    • @KelseyJonesrunescape
      @KelseyJonesrunescape  5 років тому +1

      Yes there are. I have 2012 Chevy Cruze (not LT) . I had to replace my water pump, thermostat housing unit , transmission (transmission alone was 4,000 because I couldn’t do it myself) , and my power steering wheel. Engine was replaced too after 2 months of owning the car while it was still under warranty. Crazy!

    Why does the old filter have that filter cover over it you would think it would hinder it from breathing properly. Mine has it too im considering tearing it off.

      Hi Sally - there are usually auto part stores that sell them.
      I believe I got this at AutoZone (a store chain in texas)
      You may have on near you, and the people who work there can look up your car and see if they have the filter you need in stock

    Get a ford they use snap on clips takes 5 seconds. Or a jeep. But k&n air filters are reusable just wash n put it back.

    • @Nova_United
      @Nova_United 6 років тому +1

      Justin Mullins no, do not buy a ford or a jeep.. youre asking for way worse maintanence than an air filter... chevy is the only reputable american car brand.. buy a japanese car not another american

    Amarican muscle beats import everytime. Although I do really want a twin turbo gen3 skyline. But I disagree. Everyone called me crazy for it but I've turbod my 94 cheerokke. Here's your problem you buying new I buy old jeeps they got now have the 3.7liter u gotta get that 4.0 inline six I stand strong with my ford trucks best year imo is the 87 f250 super duty yeah she still runs strong. I off road alot mudding rock climbing. Ain't never seen a ford need to get pulled out but I have had them chevys get stuck but truth be told it Isent the vehicle it's the owner. To each there own. Ford=first on race day

      Justin Mullins believe it or not I don’t prefer American made cars! Many parts are made out of plastic, like the thermostat housing unit. Since cars heat up this plastic melts over time and causes leaks. Japanese cars are great with using metal material. German made cars parts are super expensive and also are primarily made out of plastic!

    • @KelseyJonesrunescape
      @KelseyJonesrunescape  6 років тому +2

      My next car will definitely be Japanese

    • @Azrudi
