I like quick time events honestly. It makes scenes both interactive and cinematic, as making very scripted badass scenes that would be hard to do otherwise.

I know it's not the "main thing" to look at but i really like the monster design! it's not ground breaking ( good ol mutated horror type stuff) but definetly not boring!
Unfortunately I don’t think many people will really appreciate the game because the main thing I see people talking about is how good Eve looks. The game is pretty good in design all around not just Eve.

The devs said their inspiration was Bayonetta, Nier Automata and Sekiro but looking at the combat here, it's more like Sekiro and only Sekiro. The only thing they took from the Nier and Bayonetta is hot female character. Too bad the only thing people know about this game is hot asian girl.

@@moonmoon2479 Yup, it is similar to any other hack and slash. If this is a first in the series it's pretty good considering I only know of Gatcha Mobile games this company makes.
Maybe it's because I've been flabbergasted by Nier:Automata and Sekiro, which had very innovative gameplays (at least to me) when they first came out... Stellar Blade seems like a carbon copy trying to mesh the two together, but without adding anything interesting on its own.
I'm also not a fan of the QTEs in this boss fight. The game seems to have parry, dodge, and even posture break to avoid getting damage. But during a QTE? Nope, the game slows down time for no reason and restricts you to press that one button or you get punished for it.
I stand corrected. Watching Ongbal's gameplay made Stellar Blade look like a different game altogether. The QTE on 1:19 can be toggled off in the setting, and the Stellar Blade is actually a fast-paced game because a perfect parry gives you extra skill charges, which in turn lets you be more aggressive with your attacks. This video is perhaps not the best place to learn about the actual gameplay.
