I wouldn't mind if he's a tank, just as long as he looks like his g1 design and he comes with he gadgets and what not he uses in the show and movie, maybe even his gun as an accessory

What if Megatron had always been a target master that combines with a tank to form his robot mode as a type of super mode? Every time you see him in gun mode in G1 his tank went to the same place that Optimus's trailer goes. At target master scale it wouldn't be an issue that he turns into a gun, and Starscream can wield him.
Just need a new G1 Thrust. Hope we get more Transformers revealed next year, including G1 Autobots Windcharger, Powerglide, Seaspray and Autobot cassettes Ramhorn, Rewind and Eject from the 86 toyline.
I think 86 Megatron will definitely be a new mold - still transform into a tank but with a clean robot matching animation. Leader will be necessary due to the more complex engineering and parts count plus we will get his gun form as an additional accessory.
It's cool, but it's another time when his name refers to his cost. I really like that mold, but it is blatantly not worthy of leader class price point. But maybe Overcharge will come with better accessories to cover the cost. Those red translucent boxing gloves weren't worth a second voyager fig
i think we opened this can of worms simply because it is SS86. we know everything has been tanks and planes but SS86 is suppose to be the definitive versions of our movie characters. you cant have a definitive version of megatron if hes not a gun and i think that is what i would have an issue with. idk maybe it will never happen and ican live with that, but def will feel a bit sour if this is the only figure thats a straight up reissue of earthrise meg and not anything close to that "definitive" aspect.
I am really hoping they PR Runabout, Thrust and Id love to find a PR Earthrise Prowl and Ironhide alive with clear windows, same for Sunstreaker and the now missing Beachcomber. A simple version of the Star Saber and Deathsaurus at normal retail would also be nice...

Yeah, it's safe to say that we may never get a gun Megatron ever again. Honestly, that's fine by me, I didn't grow up with G1, and I don't personally vibe with the concept of the leader of an army turning into a weapon with virtually no agency to even aim himself at a target. All that being said, I can understand why G1 fans would be upset.
I grew up with G1, and Megatron is my favorite character. I don't mind not having the gun, I just don't think that Hasbro will be able to pull off a screen accurate bot mode with the tank being the alt mode. They've tried many times and they've never gotten it right. He's always too bulky and too small

I'll keep on hoping for a PR crasher since it was also hard to find, at least for me and more boat mode bot, 'cause earth is 70's more % water and the cybertronian seem to hide on ground when they have all that space to hide in, under or over water.
SS-86 Megatron needs to be a highly engineered voyager mold that can hide most (if not all) of it's tank kibble in robot mode - hence the leader class price point.

I really don’t care for Megatron Gun Altmode. My cousin had it when I was young, looked grand as a toy but it bugged me that in the show he chose a tiny gun instead of an Army vehicle like the most of the Decepticons. The tank is a better fit to me anyways. 🤷♂️ Hope the 86 megatron gets some swappable battle damaged parts and few extra accessories. Same with the rumoured prime figure. I not sure how drastically different the Galvatron could be. I’d imagine another repaint would be fine. More accurate movie colours.
It's possible we might get a new mold for the Megatron and galvatron. I say that because look at what they did with studio series ultramagnus. When that came out and it was awhole new mold I was surprised and thrilled and very happy with it. So let's see what happens.
Im hoping SS86 Megatron will go the same route as SS Concept Art Megatron: put all of the budget into giving him a spectacular G1-accurate robot mode, then make the alt mode a secondary thing. If he just turns into a blocky Cybertronian tank or something, that's fine, i just really want the robot mode to be good. I just cant see them simply repainting the ER mold; SS86 Leader Class Megatron is going to a big deal to Hasbro, he's a big name, so i'd imagine they'll try to make him a worthy companion piece for the upcoming SS86 Commander Optimus Prime.

Studio series leader class 86 Megatron is not going to be a repaint of the earthrise. Its going to use the leader budget to make a voyager size Megatron 100% accurate to its robot mode size. Like what they did with 86 ironhide and hotrod

I wish I could order an MP36 online. My masterpiece Meg's is a combiner wars figure with a bunch of add-on kits. That's Australia. The toy stores are full of all sorts of rifles, shotguns, etc, which could very convincing replicas at a distance. But you can't have Megatron.
I can't help but imagine that 86 Megs doesn't transform, like they decide "if he turns into a tank he won't be screen accurate, but if he's a gun, we'll upset people, so he won't do it; he won't transform!"

My expectations are pretty much reversed on the SS86 leaders. I think Galvatron will be a tweak if not straight recolor of the Kingdom/Legacy (wouldn,t mind being wrong) and Megatron will be an all new tank mold with some accessories including a gun mode accessory for other toys to hold, which could maybe be repurposed as "gamer edition" Megs from Devastation.
I'd prefer a gun Megatron and if Takara had a CHUG scale, I'd buy in a heartbeat. Matter of fact if I had to pay a Haslab price for it as long as the paint and quality are good, I'd do it. Obviously SS86 will not be Gun Megatron but that means that Hasbro will have to do some serious engineering to cover up the tread kibble and tank bits so Megatron ACTUALLY looks like TFTM Megatron. My concern is that he won't because Hasbro has to make him a tank. While some of the engineering for Siege/ER Megatron molds were creative, it still had way too much tank kibble that ruined the robot form look. if they can make him look like G1 animation Megatron, hide the tank kibble and provide another mini-Megatron in gun form. HasTak will not just release another repaint of Siege/Earthrise Megs for SS86, if they did nothing would set it aside from the multipack Megs on the way from the Premium Finish line.
Wait wait wait! We're getting all these 2025 pre order item info, but what about the rest of our stuff for 2024?! You know this years figures. Especially our april pre orders items that got huge hype and they went silent after the Haslab announcement of Omega prime. Here we are at the tail end of Febuary and still no listings for those April pre orders. Stuff we pre ordered months ago as far back as oct/Nov for april is already starting to get shipped or will next month. So what is with this sudden delay on everything for this year. We even having new Legacy United figures getting announced for next year. What about the rest of wave 2 that didn't get annouced yet, or is it limited to 1 leader, 3 deluxes, 1 core, and no voyagers? Is united just getting pushed back into next year or something? And I'm happy to see our G2 legacy breakdow getting made, but what happened to wild rider getting his G2 legacy version? His mold is older than deadend's & breakdown's. And yet poor Wild Rider gets kicked to the back of the G2 deluxe line of the stuntacons. What mad men are drunk behind the Hasbro decision wheel here. It's disappointing we can't get a gun Megatron for the '86 movie figure, but it is what it is. I'd love to have the Masterpiece but they are pretty expensive in the aftermarket, or aren't even available anymore.
Personally, I don’t mind Megatron, being in studio series 86 as a tank. However, I want them to try and do a different mold for Megatron. It makes more sense to me for them to create a version of the character that builds on the success of its preceding molds.
Can they not package Megatron for adult consumers? Or if we do get a repaint, maybe include Megatron in his gun mode scaled with a 5mm post for other characters to hold?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if you are right about Galvatron - but I think you are probably being way too generous to Hasbro on this one. Yes, he will get a new paint job but I don't think they will do any significant alterations to the toy itself.
Its silly, but I'm most excited for the Core class Dinobot. Modern technology has made Core class the best bang for the buck. Easy impulse buy where the larger bots really make my wallet cower in fear.
I honestly hate gun megatron. I always thought it was stupid and made absolutely no sense that the most powerful decepticon turned into a tiny pistol that required someone else to use. So if they reissue the earthrise mold again ill be pissed. Not because hes a tank. But because im so fucking tired of that mold
Why can’t they make Megatron a cannon. Get rid of the trigger, tweak the legs to be more a platform, and have a similar transformation. The tweaked Shockwave, they can do the same with Megatron.
I'll settle for a G1 Megs that transforms into whatever they'll allow, so long as the robot mode is completely G1 accurate. Earthrise Megs wasn't close enough. He needs that gun barrel behind the right shoulder, and less non-G1 kibble. I don't know how that's possible, but I'm hoping that level of engineering is what the leader class scale will be used for in an otherwise voyager figure. Like how SS-86 voyager Ironhide is a heavily engineered deluxe.

Looking at it realistically, they would just take the already existing mold and just give it a better premium finish, maybe some extra items like they did with netflix soundwave… and thats it. To expect a new mold when they refuse to give the alt mode its original form, is a reach imo. But i would like that too, just dont see the toy company doing it.

I know it seems unlikely Hasbro is going to make Megatron be a gun again but I find it silly seeing an Optimus Prime toy as a gun while Megatron isn't allowed being one - and I think that Optimus Prime gun is for kids. This is only wishful thinking but I wish they'd find a way and bring back Megatron as a gun in anyway possible.
@@dmonsef the United States has made realistic toy gun sales illegal for the most part. Major retailers won't sell toy gun and numerous cities and states have outlawed them as well. Did it ever really make sense that Megatron is as big or bigger than Starscream but then turns into a gun that fits in his hand? A tank is as good as any other toy to transform into. Lots of Decepticons are based on the American Military vehicles.

Galaxy Shuttle was all over the UK mainly in our retailer GAME for like £20, even then it shelf warmed hard.

I lost Mp36 to a house fire but even though it doesn't transform Yolopark Megatron is gonna be my definitive Megatron.
25 will be G1 loaded and I’m all for it as this yr is so light of G1 im saving mad cash for next yr!
maybe no "gun" megatron, but maybe we could have "spaceship" megatron in a similar fashion to shockwave. it can't be a walther, but i'm sure there could be a third mode that takes a similar form
Bro, no fucking way it’s just better painted earthrise megatron with maybe a new head and throne. No shot it’s not an entirely new figure, cause we always at least get two leader SS original molds, and the only other one that could be is AOE Optimus. They aren’t gonna release the throne again, there’s no way man come on.

HasTak will not just release another repaint of Siege/Earthrise Megs for SS86, if they did nothing would set it aside from the multipack Megs on the way from the Premium Finish line.
Wait wait wait! We're getting all these 2025 pre order item info, but what about the rest of our stuff for 2024?! You know this years figures. Especially our april pre orders items that got huge hype and they went silent after the Haslab announcement of Omega prime. Here we are at the tail end of Febuary and still no listings for those April pre orders. Stuff we pre ordered months ago as far back as oct/Nov for april is already starting to get shipped or will next month. So what is with this sudden delay on everything for this year. We even having new Legacy United figures getting announced for next year. What about the rest of wave 2 that didn't get annouced yet, or is it limited to 1 leader, 3 deluxes, 1 core, and no voyagers? Is united just getting pushed back into next year or something?
And I'm happy to see our G2 legacy breakdow getting made, but what happened to wild rider getting his G2 legacy version? His mold is older than deadend's & breakdown's. And yet poor Wild Rider gets kicked to the back of the G2 deluxe line of the stuntacons. What mad men are drunk behind the Hasbro decision wheel here. Somebody better dump their liquor down the drain, give them a boat ton of coffee, put them at their desks, and tell them to do their jobs or else there are worst things than losing their jobs/benefits.

3rd party figure Hegemon is our Voyager gun Megatron.
It's disappointing we can't get a gun Megatron for the '86 movie figure, but it is what it is. I'd love to have the Masterpiece but they are pretty expensive in the aftermarket, or aren't even available anymore.
Could they do the same thing with the decepticon targetmaster like Misfire and his partner Aimless, and Tiggerhappy and his partner Blowpipe

Personally, I don’t mind Megatron, being in studio series 86 as a tank. However, I want them to try and do a different mold for Megatron. It makes more sense to me for them to create a version of the character that builds on the success of its preceding molds.
I have a crazy idea that probably won't happen, but what if the ss86 Megatron was a retool of the bb movie concept art Megatron.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if you are right about Galvatron - but I think you are probably being way too generous to Hasbro on this one. Yes, he will get a new paint job but I don't think they will do any significant alterations to the toy itself.
I always preferred Megatron as a tank or jet anyway.
Its silly, but I'm most excited for the Core class Dinobot. Modern technology has made Core class the best bang for the buck. Easy impulse buy where the larger bots really make my wallet cower in fear.

I honestly hate gun megatron. I always thought it was stupid and made absolutely no sense that the most powerful decepticon turned into a tiny pistol that required someone else to use. So if they reissue the earthrise mold again ill be pissed. Not because hes a tank. But because im so fucking tired of that mold

Why can’t they make Megatron a cannon. Get rid of the trigger, tweak the legs to be more a platform, and have a similar transformation. The tweaked Shockwave, they can do the same with Megatron.

I'll settle for a G1 Megs that transforms into whatever they'll allow, so long as the robot mode is completely G1 accurate. Earthrise Megs wasn't close enough. He needs that gun barrel behind the right shoulder, and less non-G1 kibble. I don't know how that's possible, but I'm hoping that level of engineering is what the leader class scale will be used for in an otherwise voyager figure. Like how SS-86 voyager Ironhide is a heavily engineered deluxe.

Looking at it realistically, they would just take the already existing mold and just give it a better premium finish, maybe some extra items like they did with netflix soundwave… and thats it. To expect a new mold when they refuse to give the alt mode its original form, is a reach imo. But i would like that too, just dont see the toy company doing it.
@@Drago2600 They have sold the Siege / Earthrise Megatron so many times at this point that I can't see most people being willing to buy another variant of it. I'm perfectly fine skipping this one if it isn't a new mold.

I'm so sick of Megatron transforming into a tank over and over again. Compared to a gun, the tank just blends into the likes of Blitzwing and Brawl. Someone suggested SS86 Megatron transform into a flak cannon as an homage to his gun emplacement mode. I'd be okay with that..... just as long as it's not another damn tank again.
We got a bunch of package refreshes and some reissues but what we don't seem to get is the hardest one there has been to get thus far That was the siege skywork tetrajet If Hasbro wants to do all these package refreshes and reissue probut they need Go back to the hardest one that's the siege skywarp The prices to get one of Thon ebay or mecari or any other site Is hundreds of dollars And that's loose and missing the 2 target masters. I'm hoping someone From Hasbro actually sees this comment.

I know it seems unlikely Hasbro is going to make Megatron be a gun again but I find it silly seeing an Optimus Prime toy as a gun while Megatron isn't allowed being one - and I think that Optimus Prime gun is for kids. This is only wishful thinking but I wish they'd find a way and bring back Megatron as a gun in anyway possible.
I don't care about a gun Megatron. I'm fine with making him a tank. It makes sense for him to be that.

@@dmonsef the United States has made realistic toy gun sales illegal for the most part. Major retailers won't sell toy gun and numerous cities and states have outlawed them as well.
Did it ever really make sense that Megatron is as big or bigger than Starscream but then turns into a gun that fits in his hand?
A tank is as good as any other toy to transform into. Lots of Decepticons are based on the American Military vehicles.
