Thanks! We just wrapped filming the Tallin Market tonight which is our 6th market and Alyssa said that sandwich was her favorite bite of the whole trip! We had some amazing food so that’s saying something!
Thank you so much. This really means the world to us. We do try to be as authentic and honest as possible. We love each other and we love food and we love sharing it with everybody on here! Merry Christmas.
I went several times to Munich for Christmas market an plan to return next year. Just love it! Andechser am Dom is one of my favorite place to eat. Very cozy and they also have a keller!
It’s such an awesome city and the markets are just the best! We will have to make sure to check that one out, we saved it to our list for next time! Thanks for watching merry Christmas
Lovely lovely. Took me straight back to when I lived there in the ‘90’s. No smoked salmon rolls in those days….that looked beyond delish! Very enjoyable vlog. Thank you! enjoy Prague! ❤
We wish there was a Time Machine we could go back and see the markets back then! We went to our first European Christmas Market in 2014. Wish we could pay those prices again too😂
Thank you so much we would always do a quick run and have a couple drinks the day before and then choose the foods that looked the most delicious to us and then sometimes we were just end up saying something that someone else was hitting and ordering that and mixing it up. We’re about to post our video from Prague. We also visit Riga and Tallin! So cool to see Christmas in the baltics!
Thanks so much we can relive it over and over again revisit his six Christmas markets and somehow never got bored of doing it! We are trying to post all of our Christmas market videos before Christmas Eve!
Nice video. The things you had at the butchers shop are available all year round. So if you fancy trying the “Krustenbratensemmel”, you don't have to wait until Christmas. ;-)
That’s just crazy! For the cost they were such a filling snack! We live in San Diego and it’s really hard to find German food especially Quality German food. I wonder if I can find a sandwich similar back home we’ll definitely be on the hunt.
Just found your channel - such a calm, funny way you do your vlog. Appreciated. How long you stay in germany? Any plans to visit other german cities too?
Thank you so much positive comments like this me and the world to us, especially around the holidays! Unfortunately, we have already left Germany. We visited Berlin, Nerenberg and Munich and had a blast at all of those Christmas markets. We are about to post the Christmas market from Prague and then we visit Riga and Tallin. It truly was a Christmas to remember thank you so much for joining us on this Mary journey!❤️🇩🇪🎄
Munich is one of my favourite cities in Germany in terms of food. Not only in Christmas season. Love the regional specials there. I was there a few month ago and saw a five guys and immediately thought: Who eats at five guys if you have such incredible local food.
If it were an In&Out we would understand😂. We visited a place called Augustiner Keller and fell in love! We had some awesome food in Munich and had a blast. When we like a city so much it’s tough to go to the market but that ended up surprising us too. Hopefully we can be back soon to do a city food tour
Hi you two, OMG we need all three sandwiches at BB ASAP please. I was literally drooling! And the view.. breath taking looking over the market. Have fun, be safe. XOXOXO Keli and a Steve.
I’m at the Munich markets now. That salmon sandwich is amazing!!! We sought it out based on your recommendation. The line was long, but moved fast. It truly was a fantastic sandwich! I’m seriously considering having it again tomorrow! 😆
That’s freaking awesome! So glad you liked it! The Kaesespatzel was a big win too! And! Right behind that salmon stand we had a bright red sausage that we really enjoyed for like €6! Have a blast!
This was interesting. We went to three cities in Germany and then three cities outside of Germany and almost all except credit card. However, there are a few smaller boots that do only accept cash but we did as we would find a drink vendor and pay for a drink and the deposit with our credit card and then they give you cash when you return your cup so you can use that cash to buy something else
Thanks so much. We just finished filming our sixth Christmas market and Alyssa thinks that that salmon sandwich might be the best thing that she ate. We had some bangers on this trip too!
Thank you so much for your support! We actually have round-trip flights booked for a few weeks to Japan because that’s who had the flight deals. We are looking into visiting Korea again and possibly visiting some new cities!
This is exactly what we needed! Thanks so much. Some German words for us are such a mouthful we have a hard time replicating it. We will keep trying new meals so that we can perfect it overtime!
Awesome...I was there on Monday...I also had a Feuerzangenbowle (which was awesome and the cup was great - however, deposit 15 € :D) , but at the Mittelaltermarkt (medieval Christmas market on Wittelsbacherplatz, not far away from Marienplatz)...I really liked that one. You should have visited it as well, it's really cute and cozy. Also, was in Nuremberg on Tuesday...and today (Thursday) in Augsburg... :) A little Christmas market tour. :) One of my highlights is also Lindau Hafenweihnacht, which is at the Lake Constance.
Whoa that’s a crazy deposit! We found a Medieval market in Fürth where we were staying in Nurembergthat was really cool. You’re the second one to mention this market so we’ve saved it for next year! Thanks a million for watching and commenting!
It's all about the food at these markets! 😂 We just finished filming our 6th market and are working hard to get them all posted before Christmas Eve! Thanks for watching merry Christmas!❤️🇩🇪🎄
I was stationed in Munich for three years in 78-81. Loved all of the fasts but the Christkindl Markt was the absolute best, with Nurnberg a close 2d. Gruss Gott!
We loved Nuernberg too, but that one was so busy and crowded every single day! Both were amazing next time we hope to visit some smaller cities and see how they do their Christmas markets!
Thank you so much that plaza was one of the most beautiful places to host a Christmas market. We ate and drink like kings and have so many great memories from Munich.
We heard the news just as we landed back home. We were thankful to not have safety issues on our trip and hope that those who were apprehensive can enjoy our videos. Our prayers are with those affected busy this terrible tragedy.
The pork belly sandwich is very nice. The topping is also known as crackling in the US. It's a Danish staple for Christmas!😊Hint, if making your own at Christmas, add cranberry sauce and you won't be disappointed. I truly doubt there are bones in your sandwich. That is a very cute nutcracker cup. I don't usually keep them, but I might keep that one.
Thanks so much! Cranberry sauce would be perfect with that sandwich you’re right! We don’t have anything like it in the states so we will have to try to make one for our friends!
I was in Munich Christmas of 2019. To be honest, I don't even remember seeing that Salmon Sandwich. Enjoyed good beer and Schnitzel almost every night. I spent almost 2 full days at the BMW Factory and the Museum though. Sweet Memories :)
The schnitzel is insane there! We had that at one of the breweries we visited! Munich is such a cool city we can’t wait to go back! It’s crazy there was no schnitzel at the Christmas market!
No pretzels ,sausages ,beer at the Munich Christmas market because those are everyday things you can get any other time in Munich ,this is the Christmas market so they're going to have other stuff you don't see everyday there.
Ahh thanks for this comment! That totally makes sense! We had an amazing visit in Munich, we had all of those things at Augustiner-Keller. It was an incredible place right near our hotel!

We had a couple apples in different ways when we were in Germany we feel like they really have amazing apple quality! Thanks for the recommendation. We’ll keep an eye out for them.
$9.50 is pretty pricey but it was more filling than it appeared and honestly not very much more than the generic one you could get from Nordsee. We are pretty frugal but I. Our mind the over pricing is worth paying for the Lights, decorations and atmosphere. Thanks so much for watching!
lol we are with you! Trust us😂. The view was totally worth it. The only thing is when we were doing our research. It was only 250 to go up the tower and now it’s five dollars per person. Not sure if it’s just during the holiday since there’s an influx of people in the area, but that was kind of a bummer.
No way that’s amazing! Inflation is something that we have been struggling so much with. That’s part of the reason we wanted to do this $50 series. 4 years ago you could probably have gotten double😬

We totally understand that prices are hiked up during the Christmas market. We think that you’re paying for the atmosphere vibe and holiday spirits to us. It’s worth it, but it would be nice if it was a little bit more appropriately priced.
We totally agree. A lot of the markets tend to have touristy food and although Germany does have some of that, the majority of the stalls offer great quality and pretty decent value if you consider that we were able to eat and drink the two of us for $50 at all of them it’s not the best deal but it definitely wasn’t the worst.
