Having seen how the final game looks like, feels like and how little played are in the starting roster, I strongly believe that they had it in development for PS4 at least, they must have shelved it indefinitely and then decided to finish it and release it. I waited for so long to play the next TopSpin game, I can wait until it is more polished and gets more players. And if they hold up to their promises.
The barebones roster at launch makes this a buy on sale game for me.

What is a championship serve that is included in the grand slam edition? Can you show it, compared to a non championship serve ?
So, not mentioning always online career mode and server shut downs 2026. Your paying for a rental not a game to keep

Bro I would rather them slowly add these features and graphical updates over them being there day one but having massive bugs. I haven’t noticed any bugs so far and the gameplay is smooth.
'Back in the day' I was a local amateur tennis and table tennis tournament player in Rhode Island, eastern CT, and southeast Massachusetts. In tennis games for the PC in the past, I have been quite disappointed in the lack of realism in gameplay. Honestly, I don't want to spend @ $60. for the same situation once again. I couldn't care less about what pro players are in the game. For me, it's all about realistic game play.
So, what do I do? Can I get my money back if I am not satisfied?
yet to see any footage of matches taking place at night. Top Spin 4 had no night matches. Please tell me 2K at least added this ?

Until I play topspin 2k25 Virtua tennis 3 will always be my favourite tennis game. I’ll definitely pick this game up though, but not until it’s reasonably priced.

Full ace tennis simulator has just had a big update and price reduced on Steam so I think I will get that instead, unless TopSpin goes on Gamepass
If you really want to keep playing the same tennis game, you should check out AO Tennis 2 with mods, pretty sure modders will update their rosters all the time.

I don't care I was addicted to top spin 4. I agree 25 isn't as good as its predecessor. I was expecting a better graphical experience and the gameplay is very similar to top spin 4. Its like I never left it.
Still Im sure ill be playing this for the next 14 years... at least

Wozniacki is still playing 😁 not retired but anyways I think this games issues even in gameplay start to creepup when playing more seriously. Still even tho it borrows alot from TS4 it also has improvements that makes rallies shorter and much more likely to end in other ways than hitting winners
The ball boys/girls don't physically run out to retrieve the balls that hit the net? It is the little things that matter.
It's possible to play for players local multiplayer in doubles
I have a feeling the guys from Big Ant studios were involved in the graphics of Topspin 2k25. The big heads, the thunderbirds like puppet-movement of players when they're not playing are dead givaways.
Nah Hanger 13 did all of this, Big Ant have a new tennis gamed called Tiebreak coming soon, it's on early access on steam now

I played madden 24 and then 2k25. Different sports sure but 2k25 is so much better its absolutely wild. 2k respects its audience. Ea does not

Is it better than Top Spin 3 though? Most casuals talk about TP 4 but 3 is the best gameplay in the series...but as usual casual gamers of nowadays prefer dumb down games.

There's only a limited amount of gameplay we could show in this video, but honestly, it's not like that at all, and it's really difficult to sustain a long rally!

2024 and they have shitty micro transactions, no player list and venue creator (like AO), graphics lower than normal 2K, low player license, low venue license, like it majes it feel only worth $10.

@@weaverpsu it cost the same as a big budget game. i played the early released game and it play very similar to topspin 4 which is one of the best tennis game. tbh, the graphic is very ps3 like, im currently playing tennis world tour 2 also and the graphic is very good, way better vs topspin 2k25. the game play is very challenging, hitting a good - perfect timing is getting more difficult during the rally, as ur stamina depleting, the harder it gets to hit a perfect timing shot, and at normal difficulty u almost have to hit a perfect timing shot to hit a winner, hard ,extra hard and expert level require u to hit a perfect timing to b able to hit a winner and lots of time the AI would hit a winner out of ur perfect timing shots. very difficult game and improving u stat taking forever since everytime u level up u can only put a couple points into ur stats. if u have time, try it out.u won't regret.
@@weaverpsu No, it's way way waaaaaaaay lower budget... cause basketball games are bought by tens of millions of players worldwide while a tennis game is happy if it sells anything close to 1 million in it's whole life cycle... also gameplay of Top Spin 2K25 is way more polished than NBA 2K24... in NBA 2K24 if you're not playing as My Player with 30-40 badges any contested shot doesn't go in... that's NOT how real life basketball works... imagine a world where any shot that is decently defended never ever goes in... I played the Franchise mode and quit after 2 games since shooting with the best shooters in the world felt horrible and when the AI did a half decent job at defending me the green part became either so tiny you could barely see it or even vanished completely... and I was shooting as players that score 20-30 points per game on contested shots in real life...
You can say it's a "skill issue" but it's not... making the timing so punishing that you end up abandoning jump shots if they're not wiiiiiiiide open is stupid... on the other hand Top Spin games re-created tennis gameplay FLAWLESSLY... it's extremely life-like, the strategy and the way you need to play the game is extremely realistic, the animations are incredible for the shots, slides and reaching defenses...
So, which dev team is the more talented... the one that has meh gameplay that only caters to stupid kids that pay 100$ on VC to make their My Player even usable online and any other mode is trash? Or the one that recreated real life Tennis in a way that is very enjoyable and getting better at the game doesn't mean you need the reflexes to release a button within one thousandth of a second to hit a completely perfect green and nothing else?
NBA 2K is absolute TRASH compared to Top Spin 2K25... but people just look at graphics and licenses and completely ignore the most important part... the fucking moment to moment GAMEPLAY!!!

Topspin 2k25 ball speed is way too slow nothing like real tennis and more players are now admitting it finally. Go to any real men's matches on UA-cam and the rallies and ball speed are much faster,2k25 just becomes boring to watch after a while and the roster and player models are a disgrace. The other tennis games that people are bagging out have a much more realistic speed gameplay.

This guy has made comments on all reviews of the topspin. Not sure what his gameplan is, but take his comments with a grain of salt.
Tennis Elbow gameplay is good but it lacks of animations based on how high or low the ball is, also when sliding. TE has the more realistic career mode no doubt. However, Top spin is the winner in terms of gameplay

Agree. Full Ace is Excellent in terms of control...but the graphics obviously keep it from being a triple A title.
