That skip saved so much time that it was impressive. Jacob had an insanely lucky roll right there and i am so impressed noone in their group quit at all during the whole marathon lol
Fun fact: Not only do they allow you on if you’re in line prior to close, but if you have some awesome people running them and you’re kids, they might let you go on two or three times in a row. I got to go on Space Mountain 3 times in a row from 11:55-12:10 with some friends when we were all around 10 years old lol. We just ran all the way through the empty queue. An absolute blast.
if you get to the park really early and go to the less popular rides, there's a chance for the same thing in the am too! a few years ago my family got to the barnstormer in florida so early the staff didn't even make us get off the ride before going around the track again
At universal, we managed to squeeze in on the Popeye’s water ride right before midnight. Went three times in a row and got absolutely soaked. Mom made me buy new clothes cause she didn’t want to get her car wet, absolutely genius on the ride operator’s part.
@@CloudsAndDays - Reminds me of when me and my cousin were at Fevival’s playland and we wouldn’t get away from the canteen sprinkler so we ended up getting our shirts soaking wet resulting in our moms having to buy us replacements from one of the gift shops.
Fun Fact: I just wanna point out that on the little mermaid, the ride didn’t breakdown. It just stopped to let people w/ wheelchairs enter. there’s a special station for this, located at unload. That’s probably what happened. (this will happen at least once when you ride a omnimover ride, that’s the type you were riding btw) edit: jesus christ im a nerd
Fun Fact: Omni-mover rides like Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion stop so frequently because the whole track is one big belt of cars that never stops, meaning if someone needs assistance getting on or off like a guest with disability, the entire ride will have to stop to help them get on
It really is amazing how he can make the most entertaining videos out of relatively mundane things. The best part of Mr Toad’s Wild Ride is when me and my sister were young my dad told my sister that she was actually driving the car “just like Autotopia” so when we got hit by a train and went to hell she actually thought it was her fault and was sobbing. Ah, good times.
Got to admit, the lack of speed limiters on the Florida teacups makes the ride simultaneously the best and worst part of the park. Either you make everyone else incapacitated or you become incapacitated. There is never any in-between.
Exactly 😭. My sister is terrified of roller coasters and doesn’t even get on the small little kid ones, but she really wanted to get on the Ferris wheel that had the swinging feature.
As a Floridian who has gone on our version of Tea Cups many times in my life, I can confirm that those things get to terminal speed if you spin the shit out of the middle.
4:54 as a floridian i can confirm, almost fell out of the ride because me and my friends decided to try spinning it as fast as we could and uh *_it went pretty fast_*
Some cups are faster than others, but I can confirm the FL ride can be absolutely brutal if you go with a group of feral Disney Adults who want to see how close to the sound barrier they can get 😂
If they hadn't started 40mins late they could have had a little extra time, but I'm so glad they did cause that tension n drama at the end was super fun to watch.
When I worked at WDW, I was able to enter the park for free as a perk. I had never been on a coaster due to crippling fear of them, so my friend made it his MISSION to get me on at least ONE. And he did. My VERY first coaster was Expedition Everest at WDW. My friend convinced me to go on it, FAILING TO TELL ME that IT. WENT. BACKWARDS. As well as a drop. He also convinced me to go to the back of the car cause I was afraid of going in the front. He ALSO FAILED TO MENTION that sitting in the BACK OF THE CAR feels like you're going on a loop when there is no loop. Needless to say ever since then whenever I go to a park I make it a point to go on as many coaster as possible. It just AWAKENED something in me.
@@killkon3572 it's INCREDIBLE. While I agree it was a great video, I'm not sure what you mean by unpredictable. Do you mean him releasing this type of video was unpredictable or the ending of the video was? Cause there were only 2 possible endings (maybe 3; possible trolling), one being they fail and the other being they succeed.
At first I assumed this would be more of a speed run thing where you don't really care about the experience and just want to get it over with, but I could tell that you really valued the magic of the park and wanted to give you and your friends a memorable night which I think is super cool and really enhanced a video; definitely a certified banger in my book

When I went to Disney World I got stuck on “It’s a Small World” for a good half hour because it shut down. It was the worst experience I’ve ever witnessed. Just imagine hearing the Spanish version of the song on repeat for a half hour and that was basically my experience.
same thing happened to me at one point, turns out we where there so long the music shut off completely and we could just here the animatronics moving, we ended up fishing coins out of the river and trying to land them into the cups they were opening and closing

Fun fact: the railings that hold up the tomorrowland sign and stretch throughout the entire tomorrowland area used to be a ride called the People Mover, but it closed in 1995 to be a faster version that closed quickly due to maintenance failures (the People Mover still exists in Florida). I'm not sure why the tracks are still there (you can actually see the intact tracks on Astro Orbiters), but there's a real People Mover being built at the Los Angeles airport, which seems like the perfect opportunity to reopen the Disneyland People Mover.
Apparently the tracks in the Disneyland version are so intertwined in the structures of Tomorrowland, that there is no way to remove the tracks without damaging pretty much a majority of Tomorrowland. That’s what I remember from a past video on the topic from another UA-camr a while ago.
I thought the people mover was still in operation, I’ve actually ridden it recently. Also I thought Mr toads wild ride was shut down, there’s a whole statue of him in the haunted Marian pet cemetery. The orbiters shut down too I thought?
@@ButterPecan37 the people mover is still in operation at Disney World but not Disneyland, and mr toad is gone in Disney world as well which might explain it.
So, fun fact: My church does monthly themes and has people to make sets for them (this is just context), so there’s always an air of quality in every single one of our sets. The set designers are literally so talented, I love all of them so much! I even got to intern with them for a summer! I always wondered why our sets looked so good, so I started asking our set builders/designers about their prior work experience. One of the set builders/designers-a sweet man named Dennis-used to work at Disney. Yep. That’s right. DISNEY. Come to find out, Dennis worked on a good hunk of the sets for Toy Story Land. I freaking love Dennis. We talk about art all the time and he’s such a good man. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.

The best thing is that everyone is here. I mean not just the regulars in Joe and Altrive but EVERYONE, it's awesome that no one, especially not someone who could be called a "Disney Adult" was left out
6:05 yeah I used to work foods in Fantasyland and I will never forget the time a guy came up to order and I asked him how his day was going and he gave me just the most stricken look of all time and goes “I just took the four-year-old on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” 😂
As someone who learned they have a phobia of marionettes by going into a fear induced paralysis on It's a Small World, I am glad someone finally spoke out about how truly terrifying it is...
This ride is truly something that you cannot believe until you go on it. My friend and I KNEW about all the racism and what this ride was, and yet we were still crying of laughter the whole way through because WE WERE NOT PREPARED.
fun fact about the line policy: this is true at universal studios in orlando too. during halloween horror nights, the park does not close until 2 AM, making it possible to ride rip ride rocket (rollercoaster open during HHN) at 2:30-3:30 in the morning if you get in line at 2 as the wait is usually not shorter than 30 min. there is no feeling comparable to the way that coaster hits after you've been falling asleep in line for 45 minutes
Real question is: Are you and everyone else still willing to go to Disney land or world after this seemingly torturous experience? Amanda seemed like the GOAT
What a journey! I was genuinely enthralled, I felt the adrenaline, the despair, the, joy, the motion sickness. Amanda is the true hero of this story. ❤😂
The crew at Rise of Resistance is great. I went to Disney World for a band trip to perform at Disney Springs and we went to Rise of Resistance in groups of 4 and the crew was amazing. One of them went up to the second chair in my section and crap talked her about her shoes. Then the second chair was explaining the shoes and the person told her to shut up. The crew there must love their job and take it very seriously.
There's something so unsettling about cast members being allowed to drop their hyper-helpful persona. Apparently that makes it a favorite job, getting to be a bit more terse when directing people in lines is nice variety.
When you said there was no speed limit for the teacup ride in Florida, I had terrible flashbacks. And that, my friends, is why I have a fear of teacup rides.
If Jumpin' Jellyfish has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Jumpin' Jellyfish has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Jumpin' Jellyfish has only one fan then that is me. If Jumpin' Jellyfish has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Jumpin' Jellyfish, then I am against the world.
One time while in Autopia, sponsored by Honda, there was a family of ducklings on the track. I was like, 10 at the time, and was riding with my dad, who's a bit of a nature guy himself. So, my dad hopped out and carried them off the track towards the nearest body of water, being the castle's moat or whatever. Kept going on the ride a little bit, and found the mother duck with several more babies. Which, we just had to wait on. At the very least, the ducklings were screaming and the mom decided to immediately go to them.
Is it weird in Disneyland to have sponsored rides? I know you’re joking with the inclusion but it happens all the time in the Florida parks, especially Epcot, so seeing it be pointed out as an oddity with the autopia is weird to me lol
@@alexschneider1667 I only included it because the video included it, lol. But yeah, for the most part it is weird to have sponsored Disneyland rides. At least, ones that are obviously sponsored.
One thing I learned at a young age. If you are in the line as the park closes they have to let you on. The moment it hits “close” they can no longer let people in the line.
In case anyone wonders Little mermaid and any ride like it with an omni mover system (a ride that is always in motion with you loading while it moves) will always stop but rarely break in full, mainly to get disabled guests on and off. It breaks down just as much as other attractions really, but if you go at a bad time you might get stopped like 5 times (Had this happen to me, not fun when you miss a fast pass/lightning lane because of it lol).
4:50 So when I went to Disneyworld in Florida and went on the teacups, me and my friend made it our personal mission to spin them as fast as possible. Turns out, when the ride begins slowing down, they lock the cups from spinning. So my friend was ejected to the side, slamming into the door of the ride and brusing his shoulder. Great time 10/10
W tour guide, they completely understood the assignment. They gave a group of adults the most magical experience Disney can offer people who aren’t hardcore fans and you gotta respect that.
The one time I've ever gone to Disneyland and went on "It's a Small World" not expecting the horrors that were to come, one of the dolls attached to the balloons that was supposed to move up and down toward the end of the ride was still. Like it was hanging. What the actual hell was that ride
I was very close to going on that ride but it was closed down. did not expect it to be so bleak and dark, really has old horror vibes. loved the camera work on it too though made it look even more cryptic and like found footage adding to the old horror vibe
Absolutely great!! But I hate to break it to you, you need to come back when more attractions are open from refurb (which is hard to do). You missed all of Toontown (opening spring 2023)(Gadget's Go Coaster, Rodger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin), Main Street Vehicles, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Matterhorn, Tiki Room, Davey Crockett's Explorer Canoes, Monorail, Disneyland Railroad, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Disney Jr. Dance Party, Redcar Trolley, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Animation Academy, and the Hyperion Theatre. Even though most people wouldn't consider some of these rides, they are posted as attractions on the Disneyland website.

The Omnimover rides (Ariel's Undersea Adventure, The Haunted Mansion, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters) have a tendency to stop somewhat frequently due to the combination of "all vehicles move together at a constant speed" and "all vehicles are always moving, even while loading". If someone takes significantly longer to load or unload than average (wheelchair transfers being a common culprit), the entire ride has to stop to let them safely get on or off.

if you get to the park really early and go to the less popular rides, there's a chance for the same thing in the am too! a few years ago my family got to the barnstormer in florida so early the staff didn't even make us get off the ride before going around the track again
At universal, we managed to squeeze in on the Popeye’s water ride right before midnight. Went three times in a row and got absolutely soaked. Mom made me buy new clothes cause she didn’t want to get her car wet, absolutely genius on the ride operator’s part.

Got to admit, the lack of speed limiters on the Florida teacups makes the ride simultaneously the best and worst part of the park. Either you make everyone else incapacitated or you become incapacitated. There is never any in-between.

One word: Fear.
How was Sora able to accomplish this in Kingdom Hearts?
