Will be using the video to draw my first few lions. Wanted to ask what pencil/brand I should use for the white strokes as I’m doing it by hand rather than digital

Maybe try using a 5H and then work your way up. In the end I was using a 6B. I didn't know what shades to use as I did it on paper too. I haven't found that the brand matters too much as I just use a set from kmart and have had a good result with my drawing.

Don't know if this is also useful but I find that working on paper a blunt H is great for the initial sketch as it wont scratch or indent the paper, it is then very easy to make any alterations or rearticulate limbs. Hope this is also useful.

I love learning from you. I enjoy the realistic element of it. Can you do a step-by-step video on how to do the body of a lion...it is the proportion thing that I am not doing well with. I would love to see you do a video of a lion with the body and face and another one with different perspectives, like a side profile, a moving profile...you understand what I am saying.

Yes of course, just be careful if you use fixative, it can sometimes make the white appear slightly blue

Yes but it would be a bit more difficult because you have to switch the colors as you are drawing.
