    I have dreads info
    1. Get retwisted every two weeks
    2. Your dreads lock up in 3 months
    3. They shake in about 2 months
    4. Don't mess with you're.hair a lot
    5. Sleep with something on you're head like a dome cap
    6. Dreads are teaching u how to be patient no matter how long they get

    • @DollyMat
      @DollyMat 10 років тому +11

      Its not the same for everyone depending on texure or density. Also not the best idea to retwist every 2 weeks more like 4 if u must.

    I appreciate all questions, comments, and feedback whether positive or negative. I am a licensed stylist and I educate myself thoroughly. Anything you see me do is based off of furthering my education. This particular method is one of the best and healthiest method. I have tried all and I have been to dozens of classes. The foam wrap makes the locs neater for me. I never have to trim a loc to make it neater. Please don't disrespect me by calling me out of my name. I don't need input on how to use clippers I know how. I prefer the line post doc because it works for me. Thank you all for watching my video. I truly appreciate it.

      Hey Miss Loretta. U did an awesome job. I see u used some kind of wrap or set lotion n not the weesbax.... you mentioned a lot of buildup w the beeswax. But how often do u recommend washing the hair after the initial twist. Thx in advance n u hv a new subscriber here.

    Yolf Life its not a straightener it is a foam with super hold. I used Xpressions because I took a certification class at bronner bros hair show and I liked the product and educator. But now I use Nairobi foam wrap. It is a more professional hold.

    ok I love it...you did a great job!! My boyfriend want to start his and it is has been growing for three months so it is the same length as the one you did. I am not a professional but I have been re-twisting my son's locks for 3 years but I never started them. I live in a small town and there are no trained professional locticians or anyone who does black people hair here. The product you are using, can it be substituted with anything else?

    • @lorettajohnson7529
      @lorettajohnson7529 10 років тому

      Sorry for the late response. Any kind of foam wrap with a firm hold is best to use. It eliminates frizz and holds longer. It the hair is long enough for a click make sure the are place vertically. So there will not be a mark.

      Durag or cap only because they haven't locked yet so to much tussle can unravel them. Once they lock and are at a nice length he can just sleep "normally".

    • @lorettajohnson7529
      @lorettajohnson7529 9 років тому

      Sorry for the late response. You lock method involves, what I call roughing. You have to clarify your hair and strip the oils first. Your hair has to be teased and palm rolled. The foam wrap will not work for your texture. You need something with a very firm hold.

    Do you recommend this method over interlocking? I booked an appointment for Monday at a salon and the lady that is doing it quickly mentioned her process and she mentioned interlocking and a crochet tool. After reading quite a bit about interlocking, I'm not sure if I even want that method to start because they seem to create sister/brotherlocs (scalpy, look like dreads, but braids) which I do not want. I want a thick looking head full of dread, so I'm just wondering what method is best?

      +Ashley Whipple yes, but cover your hair. the friction from the wig could cause a lot of damage

      +Jarvis Dewitt I feel that it is less challenging and less expensive for the customer. The longer the hair the higher the price

      i think you can get them, cuz white ppl also have dreads. but its gotta be thru the "neglect" method where u basically braid it and dont wash or comb it for a longgg ass time

      Interlocking is the best way, most people are not skilled in it. If your are not careful the wrong individual could cause traction alopecia.

      Yes, also there may be someone in your neighborhood who's in cosmetology who can do it for you at a lower rate.
