I will admit as a Spell Breaker main. The Class is actually really strong and need some kind of adjustment. 3v3 tournament had literally 4 Warriors and 2 healers. I agree that Spear is not the issue though. The thing is that the meta feels really burst heave. With lots of classes being glass cannons. Spell Breaker is countering the meta really well with is high defenses, great mobility and decent damage. I cannot tell you how many times I was 1 hp and pressed my Heal skill and was sent back to full health.

Hell every single game I have a spear Untamed, condi Weaver (God please Anet don't make this shit the broken sidenoder again), a Druid (or 2.. or 3!), a hammer Willy etc. Shit is soooo annoying

Up here they are many people running High dps builds that 1 shot you if you don't have defensive skills. Willbender, Dead Eye, Reaper, Dps Revenants, Dps Spell Breaker, Catalyst, Scrapper and Support Chrono is mostly what I see. When i fall back down to gold 2 and 1 i then see the classes you mention. I am constantly in game with Month AT players/winners who flame you for running bad builds. Many game are straight up Stomps.

But i run the Rez Banner instead of Rampage because my dumb ass always trying to rez people lol. Not going to lie. Playing support is not easy this meta. If you not being hard Focused. The person you just rez gets downed instantly after you got them up :(. I have had games with 10 Resurrections. lol And we still loss.

Started about a month ago, only have Hot/Pof and no access to new weapons, my biggest gripe how dated the weapons feel. Lack of utilities, weird skillsets with no internal synergy, almost complete lack of condi build options outside of like two weapons on Berzerker, etc. Spear, while being ranged damage weapon has Cripple, Knockback, Immob+Interrupt, two Evades and a very potent damage drop combo, it gives you bunch of tools to play with, then you look at Axes and just... yeah... Probably why Spear & Staff feel so OP to people, coz suddenly Warriors got moves.

All truth! Glad you pointed out the weapon damage, I went back to rifle on berserker because it was more reliable and hit harder than spear. Spear on core warrior feels great, as you say the F1, 2, 3 need skill to land and the 4,5 are the main meat and potatoes, but have a fair cooldown (ele scepter is more OP than spearmarshals support, because any dodge will reduce damage, unlike dragons tooth that needs an exact time, hits for same damage + condi and is only on like a 8 sec cooldown). I dont think spear is OP and it kills me to say it, because I've been loving relic of rivers, but that has been the game changer (I feel like one of those annoying bunker catalysts, when I play my stance core warrior
Players will focus on the brand new thing to get devs to nerf it, because devs will never fix anything older without experiencing firsthand how things are in game.
As a Warrior main, and specifically Spellbreaker main, I feel it is the only Warrior that feels good (dare I say fun) to play. Nerfing Spellbreaker isn’t the answer. Making the other Elite Specs viable is a better response. OR even better! bring other classes down to Warrior standards and watch everyone cry.
It's the warrior weapon with the most evades. In a meta full of unblockable, it's the most stacked defensive weapon set besides staff. To have that, plus range, plus aoe, plus sticky damage, plus good cc.... It's simply the best weapon for spb with only staff being comparable in power level. The fact you're even comparing spear swipe to bull's charge (a utility with a 70% longer cooldown) shows just how busted that skill is. A piercing, unblockable launch with a evade attached, on a 14 second cooldown, come on. Bulls charge sets up your melee weapons, but we no longer need it to - we're holding a goddam spear. Now despite all that, I actually think spear *should* be busted. It's a fun weapon, and new stuff needs to be good, or else the expansion would be a nothing-burger. It's just that the confluence of staff, spear, rivers relic, defiance stance, and full counter has almost closed the loop of invulnerability, and everybody is feeling the consequences.
Remember.. that it's a power only weapon with no boons and condis. A little bit of nerfing ( just a little bit) could really make this weapon totally unplayble. A lot of people complain about spear's damage. But they forget that the weapon is not hybrid ( 0 condis) and 0 boons on it.

I honestly don't even think the problem is spellbreaker kit, I'm thinking it was probably just Relic of Rivers combined with the Versatile Power bug resulting in really high uptimes for invulnerabilities. The fact they nerfed Defiant stance by one second thinking it will make a difference is pretty lol. Damage of Spellbreaker is really nothing special. It's actually hilarious that they nuked Spear and Staff from orbit, when Staff resulted in nothing but a bunker sidenode build that had pillows for hands that was primarily good at being annoying as fuck and kiting, and Spear 4 was hilariously easy to avoid without a stun to set it up due to the giant orange circle. The range nerf on spear 4 would have been sufficient since it was the only thing that wasn't a skillshot that actually did alarming amounts of damage. More importantly, it had two evades to proc Relic of Rivers, which of course they didn't touch. I'm afraid you contributed with this stupid patch by waiting until the day before to release this video, complaining about a bunch of ancillary stuff like magebane tether, boon rip or the mediocre stacking buff. Even Full Counter is honestly whatever apart from the invulnerability, which Relic of Rivers and the Versatile Power bug is making cancer solely due to high uptime.
It's just sad because instead of buffing everyone else they'd rather be lazy. Nerf something you specifically paid for rather than just buff everyone else. I'm surprised they didn't even Nerf revenant spear because not as much complain about it. It's really sucks that a game releases a product without testing it first, and almost feels like the business model is to release something op to Garner attention and buyers and then once the money has been milked they Nerf it one month later. It's very unprofessional when a company just listens to toddlers and not hire any of their own people to do the testing themselves. I have called for buffs long enough, to be able to call for nerfs once. Especially considering, the thing i call out specifically, in this video, is relic of rivers, giving alac to builds that weren't suposed to have alac.

I am a bit confused. In some of the footage, you seem to be using berserker's stance. I never understood that skill. It doesn't seem to really do anything. It just gives you small amount of resistance and small amount of adrenaline. I could somewhat understand it if it had like 12s cooldown, but not 30s. What is it useful for?
Hes playing stances trait = barrier and vigor on stances(vigor = more dodges= more relic of the rivers for alac = shorter cd) And is runing a def/str spb without disci so he dont have immo cleanse on mobility so having a resist source is needed + is a pulsing one
Berserker's stance used to be rly strong back then cause it made you immune to any condis but it became a bit of a meme skill when it got reworked. It's still alright tho
Evade on f1 + no projectile (f1, 2, 4) + cast behind/about face (f1, 2, 3, 4) + aoe + very high dmg. This makes the weapon OP in wvw (zerg and small scale, not roaming). Needs a nerf. Either dmg + a bit of the other stuff or keep the dmg mostly untouched and scrap all the other stuff.
I also relized this is greared toward pvp where wvw so my though process is different. Leave the spear alone its the only half decent long rsnge weapon we have since they nerfed bow. And well left rilfe to die

Well... there is definitely at least a little bit of stockholm syndrome involved, but I cannot say I'm not enjoying my time either. The parts of the class *that work* are either good, or great, the problem is that, about half of te class simply doesn't. - especialy post oct 8th nerfs.
The problem with spear is that it does too much damage while you can be too tanky. (unironically unkillable in 1v2s and sometimes 1v3s at the highest level of gameplay, let alone Ranked) You played Strenght in *ALL* of these Clips, but every single spellbreaker on the leaderboard is on Defense. You don't have the Quickness to do that amount of damage on GS, Hammer, or any of the other weapons. That being said; yes, stances are an Issue, Rivers is an Issue, Defense is an issue and YES: Spear is an issue. For reference I'll just post the patch notes I'd like to see on the next balance patch: Rivers: Regen removed, Alac reduced to 1s 25ms Stances: CDs start *AFTER* the stance is finished Defiant Stance (Heal) Duration decreased from 4 to 3 seconds & Cast time increased to 1 second (was 1/4th of a second, this makes counterplay possible) Balanced Stance (Arguably one of the biggest issues): Remove that you can't be crit. Pulsing stab is strong enough. Spear: Remove Evade frame from F1 Spear 4's animation should be faster so its easier to get a clean dodge. Spear 4's power coefficient needs to be tuned down. It should never do anywhere near 10k on Defense. Maybe 6k. Defense Traitline: Resilient Roll gives 2 1/2 seconds of Resistance on a dodge. That's too much. Cull the Weak gives 3 1/2 Seconds of Weakness every time you hit a burst skill (on a 5 second interval) - this is also too much. Edit: Staff is also an issue but I can't be bothered to type my ideas for that out honestly
Amongst all issues warrioe faces, spear is currently the smallest one. I argued in previous video that core burst and spear 4 should have their passive dmg steroid reduced down to 10%, to be on pair with other skills. Other probkem, from which derives most you mentioned, is that most defences in warrior's tool kit, are free and self sunergystic if you play certain small assortment of builds, most if which are SPB builds. And as we all mentioned, cooldowns. [Full Counter] enjoys a double CD reduction from Versitile Power, due to a bug, and it being able to reset F1 CD leads to much bigger issue than we all could have forseen. Berserker and Bladesworn, both have to sacrifice damage to run Spear, Staff, Stances, Relic if Rivers, Defefense-Disciplone and Signet of Stamina in one build.
okay let me tell you why spear dmg is unexpectable , it's range wep that got 1 skill that can deal whole greatsword combo dmg at "range" this is code word here , campering it to rifle is eithier you are trolling or wana make it seem in a way that warriors doesnt need nerf but they 100% do " they deal more range spike than ele " . Wariors offer nothing but dmg ? are you sure you are a warior main ? have you heard about banners ? have you heard about healing wariors ? Have you heard about core warior destorying zerg v zerg in WvW to point that everyone and thier mum's now running core warior meme until it's nerfed ? you also forget to talk about counter plays cuz wariors , spell breaker has none right now . Even in pve spear warior are starting to see 46k dmg/sec so you are just totally wrong about frist part of video , actually spear does more dmg than greatsword as a range wep . So 100% there is a nerf that needs to happen that nerf gona be a dmg nerf to warior overall or a nerf to banners overall or a nerf to hp and tankness that exist for no reason you eithier dealing dmg or offering ulities or being a tank , you cant have all 3 at same time :) .

Berserker's stance used to be rly strong back then cause it made you immune to any condis but it became a bit of a meme skill when it got reworked. It's still alright tho
Evade on f1 + no projectile (f1, 2, 4) + cast behind/about face (f1, 2, 3, 4) + aoe + very high dmg. This makes the weapon OP in wvw (zerg and small scale, not roaming). Needs a nerf. Either dmg + a bit of the other stuff or keep the dmg mostly untouched and scrap all the other stuff.
I also relized this is greared toward pvp where wvw so my though process is different. Leave the spear alone its the only half decent long rsnge weapon we have since they nerfed bow. And well left rilfe to die

man...everytime i want to play warrior i see your video pop up and it makes me think its either not worth playing, OR not going to be worth playing. Is warrior fun for you, or is it just that thing that happens when you've become so accustomed to what you like, the faults just stick out all the more?
Well... there is definitely at least a little bit of stockholm syndrome involved, but I cannot say I'm not enjoying my time either.
The parts of the class *that work* are either good, or great, the problem is that, about half of te class simply doesn't. - especialy post oct 8th nerfs.

The problem with spear is that it does too much damage while you can be too tanky. (unironically unkillable in 1v2s and sometimes 1v3s at the highest level of gameplay, let alone Ranked)
You played Strenght in *ALL* of these Clips, but every single spellbreaker on the leaderboard is on Defense.
You don't have the Quickness to do that amount of damage on GS, Hammer, or any of the other weapons.
That being said; yes, stances are an Issue, Rivers is an Issue, Defense is an issue and YES: Spear is an issue.
For reference I'll just post the patch notes I'd like to see on the next balance patch:
Rivers: Regen removed, Alac reduced to 1s 25ms
Stances: CDs start *AFTER* the stance is finished
Defiant Stance (Heal) Duration decreased from 4 to 3 seconds & Cast time increased to 1 second (was 1/4th of a second, this makes counterplay possible)
Balanced Stance (Arguably one of the biggest issues): Remove that you can't be crit. Pulsing stab is strong enough.
Spear: Remove Evade frame from F1
Spear 4's animation should be faster so its easier to get a clean dodge.
Spear 4's power coefficient needs to be tuned down. It should never do anywhere near 10k on Defense. Maybe 6k.
Defense Traitline:
Resilient Roll gives 2 1/2 seconds of Resistance on a dodge. That's too much.
Cull the Weak gives 3 1/2 Seconds of Weakness every time you hit a burst skill (on a 5 second interval) - this is also too much.
Edit: Staff is also an issue but I can't be bothered to type my ideas for that out honestly
Amongst all issues warrioe faces, spear is currently the smallest one.
I argued in previous video that core burst and spear 4 should have their passive dmg steroid reduced down to 10%, to be on pair with other skills.
Other probkem, from which derives most you mentioned, is that most defences in warrior's tool kit, are free and self sunergystic if you play certain small assortment of builds, most if which are SPB builds.
And as we all mentioned, cooldowns.
[Full Counter] enjoys a double CD reduction from Versitile Power, due to a bug, and it being able to reset F1 CD leads to much bigger issue than we all could have forseen.
Berserker and Bladesworn, both have to sacrifice damage to run Spear, Staff, Stances, Relic if Rivers, Defefense-Disciplone and Signet of Stamina in one build.

okay let me tell you why spear dmg is unexpectable , it's range wep that got 1 skill that can deal whole greatsword combo dmg at "range" this is code word here , campering it to rifle is eithier you are trolling or wana make it seem in a way that warriors doesnt need nerf but they 100% do " they deal more range spike than ele " .
Wariors offer nothing but dmg ? are you sure you are a warior main ? have you heard about banners ? have you heard about healing wariors ?
Have you heard about core warior destorying zerg v zerg in WvW to point that everyone and thier mum's now running core warior meme until it's nerfed ?
you also forget to talk about counter plays cuz wariors , spell breaker has none right now .
Even in pve spear warior are starting to see 46k dmg/sec so you are just totally wrong about frist part of video , actually spear does more dmg than greatsword as a range wep .
So 100% there is a nerf that needs to happen that nerf gona be a dmg nerf to warior overall or a nerf to banners overall or a nerf to hp and tankness that exist for no reason you eithier dealing dmg or offering ulities or being a tank , you cant have all 3 at same time :) .
+ spear has literally no cooldown on any skill so even if you dodge it you gonna face the same skill 5 secs later again

And the cooldowns on spear are not something out of the ordinary.
Staff and spear are basically the only things that moved warrior out of his "2012 stack" mentality.
You can't seriously ask for warrior to go back in 2012 when the other classes are in 2024.
