@riaynchristina haa haa. I feel like I was 28 yeasterday. Back then, my boss would ruffle my hair like I was five. I was 38 when I became an award winning author. Now, at 44, I am a director for a rural food pantry and am in the middle of a major capital campaign where I have to raise 7.5 million. I plan on stepping down in five years (at 50). It will be a quasi retirement. I would be too bored if I didn't work at all.

My woo girl moment is that I’m going on to my first professional work conference next week in Vegas! After a few years of feeling so undervalued in the workplace, I feel appreciative that my current employer sees the value in me to pay me fairly and invest in my professional growth. Corporate girlies out there: you got this 🎉

I’m 31 and I work in the corporate world but teach at a dance studio part time. an opportunity came up to be a background dancer in a musical so I thought “ what the heck, why don’t I just try” so I sent in a tape. I GOT A CALL BACK. even if I don’t get to be apart of it I’m so proud of myself! 😊

What I didn't realize in my twenties was that I would always feel like my "young girl" self inside, despite age. I uses to think that as people aged they gained some type of different inner self that matured beyond that youthful feeling, but the terrible fact is that no matter your age, you are still living young inside. We should carry our dreams until it is the only strength we have left in our body, even if that dream is to live each day finding one small thing to be grateful for.

I worked as a vet receptionist since 2020 trying to work my way into the vet field. Through my job, I ended up getting into school to become a licensed vet tech. After dealing with complicated health issues, I have finally decided that I don’t want to fight every single day & push myself to “achieve my dreams” like everyone says. I’ve always loved office work, and I’m still in the vet field… now I have became the lead receptionist at my clinic. It’s my first week with my new role, but I’m very excited and happy that I’ve realized my dreams have changed and I am satisfied with this and not struggling every day to do what I thought was my dream 😊
as someone from Sweden I must correct you - its Lingonberry sauce not cranberry sauce :) it's one of the most traditional meals in Sweden! and yes the Ikea version slaps.

My woo girl moment this week is respecting myself enough to set some healthy boundaries. I also feel like I’m slowly coming out of my postpartum depression and that’s for sure helping with everything!

Hi riayn and Paloma! Just listened to the podcast and my woo girl minute is that I just started volunteering and shadowing with audiologists so I can one day help bilingual kids with hearing loss! That’s my goal is to help those who might have a language barrier in the US still have access to getting hearing aids and cochlear implants!

40's enjoying your hard work realized.
I saw my success in my late thirties and early forties.
And ladies, perimedipause starts earlier than you might think. Medipause (1 year of no period) is normal between 45 and 53.
This is some "old lady" insights.
I hope you girls can truly see the growth that you've both had - from creative content to your intentions and actions. It's inspiring to see, and I have no doubt that you both will reach your dreams because you truly deserve to ❤

Woo Girl Moment! I’m a month away from finishing my student teaching and graduating with my BA and my teaching credential! I also have an audition for Beauty and the Beast in a few weeks! We always need singers and dancers, so I’ll never stop chasing that dream. 😊

Im a tech girlie. I'm an AI Engineer and have been coding and working in corporate for the past 12 years. and Im here to tell you its never to late to change lanes because im about 1 year away from quitting my job to become a real estate investor 🤣. I started flipping homes last year, and I've been able to make more money with that than I do at my day job, so I've made a 1-2 year retirement plan. Most people think I'm crazy because I have one of the best jobs in the world, but I'm so tired. I just want to make acai bowls and workout on the beach at noon every day and not ever be in another Teams meeting.

How did you become an AI engineer?
@@AlieshiaTV I personally went to school for 12 years to study theoretical mathematics, but thats probably the hardest way to get into it haha. Now a days, there are undergrad and masters degrees specifically for Machine Learning and Data Science.

My name is Arielle, and I have had a UA-cam channel for 10 years lol I have been posting on and off because of the fear of not being good enough. Now that I'm 29, I really want to start posting again, but I have a two year old with autism and sometimes I don't have time. But any chance I get, I do try and post. And the reason I want to get over this fear is to teach my son that it's okay if not everyone likes you. As long as you're chasing your dream and it makes YOU happy, then that is all that matters! It’s my birthday, I’m 30! && it def feels like I’m “late” for something. I’m def not where 20 year me thought I’d be, and I totally feel that pull between having a career and building a family. My heart breaks for myself, cause by all means I should be fulfilled and yet there is still a pull.

me as a person with a disability and getting told you can’t work people not wanting to give you a chance to work for them because of that disability. i am 32 soon to be 33 in June i sometimes wish i could work. now i am trying to find a hobby that i could do and maybe turn into a job. when i was younger i didn’t dream of what i could do. now just wish i could work. do anything at this point.

Love this! I honestly was thinking about quitting content creation this week and I don’t usually get that feeling because I love it. It was that my car situation is bad and it’s been out of my control since last summer. I’ve lost out of opportunities and just over it. I’ve been trying to stay positive about it and this helped. I definitely understand the brain not having a budget when it comes to content so I just have to come up with more ideas

Yep, as a 30's stay at home mom, without a carrer, sometimes i feel judged even by myself for not pursuing a carrer...
Actually, I think what you have is the dream of a lot of people who don't have the option to stay home with their kids.
@aksez2u I know, I'm living the dream, at least mine 😅 and I'm so grateful for that, but there's situations where one can feel very judged for not be an independent woman, it's not necessary that people say something but the looks they gave...
@@Viry1905 I understand. And I think you can be "independent" and be a stay at home mom at the same time. Every couple has to negotiate how to work and have kids at the same time. It's always hard and your choice is a 100% valid one.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to do after I graduate from college in a year and I really want to go to grad school for creative writing but not sure how practical it is. But after hearing what y'all have to say I think that it's worth it to apply to some schools and see what happens!!!!
My woo girl moment is that in May I will present my Master thesis to finish my degree of Micro and Nanotecnologies Engineering and in June I will immigrate to Belgium from Portugal to start my first job ever in a lab

It took my parents the week of my wedding to realize i was serious when all i wanted after graduating high school was to move out and get married. Its so stupid that women have this double standard, i love being dependent on my husband because he will always take care of me. Other women dont like that, and want to live their best life independent from a man. I have never looked down on a woman for having a career and being happy in it, and wanting more out of it. I dont like when some look down on me for wanting a more "traditional." Arrangement with my husband. We respect each other and thats all the matters in a relationship 😊
I really think that we need to normalize building each other up, rather than talking ISH about each other. There is enough sad stuff to go around, let us be positive toward each other.
