- In UK on 430MHz (70cm band) we have repeaters with different offsets +1.6MHz, +7.6MHz, -9.0MHz This makes the automatic shift feature on the modern radios useless or difficult to work with.
Lets take a look at this easy way of programming repeaters into the memory no matter what is the shift. Also quick guide how to name / tag your memory channels, delete repeater or skip when scanning.
This will show DUP on the screen if you are in memory channel mode.
Note: I am still using the Automatic shift on 2m for convenience.
Thanks for watching, please subscribe to my channel!

Thanks it solved my non standard shift.
Many thanks for the information 73
Thank you for sharing this. It was very helpful.
THANK YOU this was a great help
Brilliant tip, thank you. Can a CTCSS be added if we use this method? Our local repeater needs this.
Answered my own question. Go in to the F button menu and turn it on from there. Works like a charm.
What do you put the other settings at /rpt minus or plus or simplex and tone DCS. Is the shift in the memory at zero? The tone stays as advised the the repeater.
Thanks, the manual is lacking here... going from 2m radios and then to this HF the memory saving seems way more confusing. wish I got the Icon for their menu... but wanted the C4FM.
C4fm sounds brilliant to my ears compared to DMR and Dstar.
Great until you said "press the AM button and the "PTT" together. Where is the PTT button is that the microphone. You lost me on pushing the AM and PTT together.
PTT is press to talk button on your hand microphone.
I hate this radio. I give up.
