Good evening Scott and thanks for the message, yeah programing from the button's is a job, glad RT systems had a easy toi use software. Let me know if you need anything else 73 keep in touch
Thank you. You are putting out some of the best informational videos on the Yaesu FT-991A and the other Yaesu radios. Much appreciate you dedicating your time to this. 73.
Hi Tony, thank you very much for the message, I appreciate it sir, always glad to help, let me know if there's anything you need from me sir '73 de KI5JUF.
@@westtexasvideogateski5juf255 To program from the face you the radio, you really need to sit down and do them all in one bunch (get in a groove). For basic repeater setups, there are really only two buttons, one knob and the touch screen that need to be used.
Thanks, looking to get on of these rigs from HRO or Gigaparts plus the software and cable. Hopefully they have a 4th of July sale even if they are not in stock maybe I can get them at the sale price and wait for the back order to come in.
How you doing, there is a way to adjust the shifts, Press MENU/SETUP for example select option 082 RPT SHIFT 144 MHz, press SELECT button use the MULTI knob this will allow you to use a custom OFFSET other than the default, then press Enter to save it. I think this may across all you memory channels, give it a try
KG5PTE here. I have a Yaesu FT991a too, and on page 111 of the Manuel it shows how to program a range of frequencies. So using RT systems. How do I program a range ? like 28.300 too 29.700 and have the radio scan that range ?
Hi there KG5PTE, I made a video that shows, you may need to segment them by mode for example USB, FM and AM, I suppose you could scan 28.300 to 29.700 and pick one mode if any comes in you will hear something - good luck following is the video - ua-cam.com/video/XpFnWbrP_CA/v-deo.html
Hi Jamesames, how are you doing, I think I siscovered why you can only see 20, watch is video I think this will help you see all 1-99 memory locations, '73 de KI5JUF ua-cam.com/video/DEdHGJQptAQ/v-deo.html
Hi Rachel - not sure I'm sorry I stil don't have my FT991A back - maybe call RT they hava a very good customer service - good luck I hope you get a solution soon leep me posted and thanks for watching my videos :)
If you go to "File" -> "External Data" - you can just suck in all the settings from Repeater Book and/or Radio Reference. No need to do these manually... are you going to confuse the radio by putting in the same frequency twice ? Memory 004 and 014 are identical... also, c'mon Yaesu... you gave me 900 memory channels on my FT3D, but only 99 on this radio ?
Good evening and thanks for that tip, I don't think the radio will know the same frequency is in two memory locations, I think; thanks for the message and keep in touch '73 de KJI5JUF
Thank God somebody has thought to make this software. I think its a nightmare manually programming the 991A 👍 Luv your vids!

your accidentally moving the main vfo tuning knob before using the multi knob which stops the mem channel function
