Gregory always looked like he was having a laugh. I feel like if they actually toured/played live shows back then they’d have better stage presence. Still one of my fave bands!
Interesting…it sounds like the track was either remixed or redone for this performance. I know this is not the album version for sure, even with the different lengths, the synths take a backseat, more buried in the mix in this version. Always good to see these unique performances show up every once in a while.
I believe this version is called "Crushed By The Wheels of Industry (Part I and Part II"). This video performance is shorter than the version I just listened to from a reissue of 2006. The reissue has four bonus tracks: "Let Me Go" (extended mix), "Who'll Stop The Rain" (12" version), "Come Live With Me" (12" version) and of course "Crushed by...". I would presume many electronic bands had so many remixes done of their music. Kraftwerk certainly did and others like them. I kind of enjoy this funky, laid back, bass-oriented version. The original one was much more heavy-handed.
Well I like it + was a top 20 hit for them in UK + Ireland, and the music video was always requested as well esp through Teletext! So we will have to agree/disagree!
@@mikekaraoke Who is 'we'? . . . Do you have a gang, or are you part of a colony like a coral? . . . I think you mean that 'you' disagree, and i'm totally fine with that.
Classic heaven 17 preformance, remember this from back in 1983.
The fantastic, John Wilson on bass.
Those two male dancers in the background are hilarious! 😂
Well it was the 80,s Soft Arse ;)

I loooove the 80s disco fashion on TOTP
Bass Heaven 17
Outrageous
Love Heaven 17, another 80's band that didn't wear/have any dodgy clothes /hairstyles!

The reason I didn't re-dub this is for that very reason - this sounds like it was re-recorded / remixed.
Is Martyn Ware actually in this video? Is that him on the piano?
Certainly looks like him :)
Can it be better ?
Not their best work, and hardly TOTPs material.
