Would at most get the Adeptus Combat Patrol, it's miles better than the current one and it's nearly a 1000 points list
I miss these coming out as two faction battle boxes. Those were really cool to see with the campaign narrative
Maybe the Custodes Combat Patrol, but only to use in 30k.
No custodes or Orks for me. The Custodes box looks sweet but still on a paint more - buy less schedule. It is already April and so far only bought some terrain (necromunda gang hideout) and one combat patrol (sisters of battle). My plan was actually to not buy anything until my pile of shame is gone but... the flesh is weak :P

Im totally new and have been looking at what to pick up for a couple weeks and have been leaning towarda the custodes.
What is the real difference between the boxes? I dont know what any of the models actually are.
The Combat Patrol is around 1000 points I believe, so if you are new to the faction this could be a good one to try out to see how you like playing them. The battle force will give more points and more units with different roles. Usually these are the best value and a great to get a full army in a box. Be good to get some tips from players here in the comments.
@tabletopskirmishgames thanks. I'm new to the game in general. I played it a couple times years ago but really know nothing about it.
If you want to get into the Custodes, grabbing on of the current and one of the upcoming combat patrol boxes could be a very good start to your collection, with only minor overlap. However, be advised that parts of the Custodes codes are IIRC still Forgeworld resin that is difficult to get a hold of and work with. This means you'll have some limitations on the outset, until you get a bit of experience under your belt.

I’m taking a break from 40k, for this edition, so I’m safe this week as far as GW products go.

I’ve been working on 3 games on and off for the past couple of years. 2024 is the year I sort myself out and get them all published 🤣 Fantasy game next!
That combat patrol for orks is actually really cool especially if you got the beast snagga battleforce
@@gstellar96 They are both quite good, especially for 10th edition standards so far.
That´s somethind I wish GW would change, keep those box releases but also make then individually available at the same time. I bet that wouldn´t harm the box sales.

to be honest as a tau player that bought the kroot box I was swearing, got the codex 2 weeks before this announcement and thanks to this it'll be a miracle if I'll be able to use it with the right points mid may...
