It's a great song and a stunning performance. Even by Babymetal's stratospheric standards, that one was top-notch.

So I think you liked it - just a guess.🤔 BxMxC (think of the x's as punctuation, so BMC) probably means BABYMETAL Cypher, but I'm still going with Bring Moa Chicken. In an interview two or three years ago the first question they were asked "How are you feeling right now?" Moa's reply "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens".🍗🍗🍗
They talked about 'BxMxC' in another interview.
SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget!
MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall?
SU-METAL: Uh…what was it…
KOBAMETAL (their producer): Flow?
SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind.
BABYMETAL live is always a step up from their studio recordings. A lot of fans didn't like this at all when they first heard it - "too many effects and autotune on Su's vocals" and they thought they could and would not play it live.
Happily they were proved very wrong and Su kills it without the effects and autotune - and as you saw and heard for yourself this song hits hard live.🤘
No it was not on the international release, it was a Japan exclusive ... but they had it on the set list every night for the UK and Europe tour in 2020 and they took the roof off every venue with it.

I've said this many times but I was very skeptical with this one when the studio version first came out. But watching and listening to the live version made me change my mind. It's everything: the way they perform, Su's cleaner vocals, the heaviness of the Kami Band playing live. It's just incredible!

It was released as an international single 2 months after the album release, it was performed live in the west for at least a month in that time. 🙂
In the beginning of my journey into BABYMETAL I was baffled by the fact that each new song I heard from them became my favorite, then I realized, they are all my favorite!

Su didn't know how to rap when they began recording this song and she had to figure it out as she went along. Needless to say, she nailed it like she always does.
I've seen this song live three times on the current world tour and it always crushes lives.
I saw them live for the first time last night after being a fan for 10 years and I never heard this song until I saw them live and this song went hard live
It seems heavier on their current tour... the live mix seems to hit hard.
@@kevinwilson455 A lot of Babymetal songs are like that. The live performance hits way harder than the studio recording. That's why Babymetal live is way better than on an album.

Bring Moa Chicken
Funny that the first time I heard this song on the "want some beat" part all I heard was "Wasabi" lol. Lucky when they World Tour to Jakarta in May 2023 brought this song. I recorded a little moment when they were in Jakarta maybe you can see it 😁 The crowd was so enthusiastic it echoed in the room 🔥 thank you 🤘🏻🦊
This is why I'd be the perfect man for Moa. I have two culinary degrees and make the best damn fried chicken in the world, we can help each other further learn each other's native language, I'm into metal, etc.

I'm not usually a rap fan (or most metal for the matter), but this song goes so hard. I was a little confused when I first heard the album version, but the live one is killer and now I love both (but the live one still blows it out the water). The energy, attitude, ridiculous build-ups, and amazing rapping is indescribably awesome.

2014 version is awesome! But my favorite is Akatsuki at Budokan in 2021. Su sounds more matured and the muscle metals are going crazy at their choreography doing a martial arts performance 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

Not my favorite song, but that is only because I'm not a rap fan. That being said, I do have a good friend who raps and she's quite good at it. You give her a single word or phrase and she'll, right off the bat start rapping about whatever you said. So while I personally don't enjoy rap, I can appreciate it and the skill, and I appreciate What Su does in this song. Incidentally, although, as Jake Muller said we tease and say BxMxC stands for Bring Moa Chicken (or Chocolate, thus Gimmie Chocolate lol), the name of the song means Babymetal Cypher. Looking forward to watching more reactions :)
