I have a question and a couple of comments from my experience. question - towards the end of the video when you demonstrate how to request an appt for RFC : why did you choose 'cases especially' instead of the 1st option ( the 'usual' personas físicas )? I read a bit - but didn't understand when it would apply. my other comments have to do with my attempts to get an appt for RFC. I am a permanent resident of MX, US citizen. I was in US for family ( health issues) and wanted to get an appt set up - so I was able to get in the virtual line, Note - it only worked when I used a VPN that indicated I was logged on "in" México ( otherwise the screens do not load fully ). When I received my appointment ( quickly!) it was before I could return - so I cancelled. When I tried to get another appt 3 weeks later - I got a (very brief) pop -up alert indicating that I could not get back in the fila virtual until 30 days had passed since I canceled my prior appointment!. I don't see any mention of that anywhere. is there some way to decline an appointment and get back in the fila?
Hi @mhmsm I selected “casos especial” because that’s what I was instructed to do as a foreigner who didn’t need an RFC for tax purposes. And you are correct, I believe as I made my appointment (in the email confirmation, maybe?) they informed me that if I cancelled my appointment, I would have to wait 30days to make another. I don’t think there is a way around it, sadly (unless you hire a facilitator of some sort). I know it can be frustrating. Most people won’t cancel their appointment for that reason. They tend to just let the appointment pass and reschedule it right away, to avoid the 30 day probation window. I hope your family is well 🙏🏽 sorry for your troubles. thank you for such a quick reply. honestly, I can't find the original email, and simply didn't recall the 30 day warning. seems counter intuitive, but you're right - makes more sense to let it lapse and then reschedule. I was very surprised how quickly I was scheduled (assigned appt 3 days after getting into fila and appt was for < 2 weeks after I got into the fila. I will be returning after the holidays, so plan to get in line again soon and hope for the best. @@MixedinMexico

I now realize that it says you have 24 hours to confirm your appointment or it will be reassigned. I failed to confirm and now when i login to check my appointment, it isn't there!! Do you think i should just print out the email with the appointment, show up and play dumb?Lol

(ua-cam.com/video/H-U_3O3fuQY/v-deo.html) In order to handle urgent business down here in Mexico, a lot of people have hired a facilitator to expedite the process of getting their RFCs. It's not "cheap" but can potentially save a lot of time; especially if you need it sooner. If that's what you're looking for, I would definitely get in contact with your local/preferred Notaria here in Mexico and inquire about the service. 😊 I hope that's helpful!
Hi @lschl7584 if you have an existing SAT appointment that you would like to cancel, when you go to consult your appointment (demonstrated in the later part of the video) on minute 7:15 under the subheading “Consulta/Gestion de citas” you will see in the 6th column there “cancelar cita” with a button to click. Go through the prompts for that to cancel it. If you are looking to reschedule your appointment right away, be advised that you may have to wait a little. Once an appointment is canceled, SAT will give you a probationary period in which you cannot schedule a new appointment until the allotted amount of days has past. (I don’t remember the exact amount of days; and it may have changed.) That is why a lot of individuals hesitate to cancel their appointments, and prefer to let it pass unattended instead. Just some extra “food for thought.” I hope that helps!

When I get to that page & click the yellow EJECUTAR EN LINEA BUTTON it doesn't go to another page, it takes me back to the same landing page for Verifica si estás registrado en el RFC, then wash, rinse repeat. I'm very computer savvy so I'm pretty sure it's not a user error. I just tried a third browser, Edge the same thing is happening. Maybe I'll try it on my phone.

One handy thing I discovered is that there's actually a "generic" RFC, and what I read is it can be used for utilities and even some back accounts. It worked with my Albo card, which they were about to cancel!
Hey Radha! Sorry I can’t be of more assistance; it looks like you’ve tried everything. Sometimes these Mexican websites can be a little tricky; hopefully they get that glitch fixed for you. But you are absolutely right! There is a generic RFC that I’ve mentioned in previous videos which will come in handy for tourists and locals alike. As a permanent resident though, you have a leg up above others as you could go into almost any SAT office and get an RFC, no problem (if you desire and don’t have one). Every time I click the Ejecutar en Linea button it kicks me back to the same page...I can't continue. Is there another way to do this?
