Great video, thanks. I got my Mexican driver license in 2005 and, honest to god, all it took was a US $20 bill passed to the person behind the window. I imagine things are a bit different now, or maybe not.
Before dual citizenship, I got a Mexican driver's license easily in a small town with no driver's test. Just needed to get a test with blood type. There's was an area in the driver where it mentioned curp but mine was replace with R.F.C instead of curp. This was done way before I got citizenship. I have to renew my Mexican driver license since now it's expired.
@@MixedinMexico You know what, I'm not entirely sure if my aunt might've had some inside connections when I got my driver's license in Mexico since i wasn't a Mexican citizens back then. I can say for certain that there wasn't any sort of driver's test or written required in that town for anyone.
Still didn’t get where’s the location you get Mexican driver's license? I heard each Mexican state is very different, and some states made it easier for foreign residents than others? some were always asking paper tests and driving tests regardless of foreign driver licenses, and some other locations can make it without any tests; Did you mention Mexico city or another place? I am right now in Ensenada in Baja, wonder anyone knows the requirements in Baja?
Hey Eric! If you don't have a driver's license from your home country then it may depend on the office you go to in Mexico; but you may have to take a written and/or a driving test in order to acquire your driver's license in Mexico. I hope that helps!
@Davidromerovlogs5039 I am not originally from Mexico. My husband and I are from the U.S. but we now live here in Mexico and bounce between the Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
@josegarcia-sc4hz No appointment needed for most offices; you should be able to just walk in. To be sure, I would just double check that with your preferred office. I hope that helps!
@jonyw5493 I do not have a list of which states allow for it and which will not. It will honestly just depend on the particular office you attend (and sometimes the knowledge level of the person behind the counter). But most high tourist area locations will allow for it. I hope that helps!
You would need to go in person to an office location in Mexico [in which ever Mexican state you may have a proof of address/residence] and go through their application process. I hope that helps!
Hey Oscar! It depends on your end destination. If its a domestic flight within Mexico, I'd say yes. My husband and I have boarded domestic flights here with just our boarding pass and driver's license [both Mexican and US licenses]. But international flights into/out of Mexico require a passport minimally. I hope that helps!
Hi @eyesea123 No, I'm pretty sure that's the right answer. 😂 I would for sure stop for the chicken too 🐓 And as for the blood type, it may depend on your particular office. Most offices [I've heard] have no problem if you simply state your blood type; but some may require proof. Just depends. So I'd suggest checking with your preferred office to avoid any disappointments. 😊 I hope that helps!
This is Jamar, an American living in Puebla. I love this video! You are hilarious. Keep making Mexican less foreign for foreigners.
Hi Jamar. Thank you very much for your kind words. 😊 I thrive on commendation. I appreciate the kindness!

That's great! Sounds like it was a pretty easy process for you. It's crazy how much requirements can vary from state to state sometimes!

Can I board Mexican flights with just a us driver license or will I need a passport?

There are more videos on yt for mex drivers license in La Paz BCS, which echo this video.
I'd stop for a chicken, is that wrong? Do you have to prove your blood type if you already know it?
