The brutal murderers, priest's promise them that...even those on death row, are forgiven from God (even for raping and murdering young children ffs) through their priest, if the priest is satisfied that the dreadful, torturing killer is really 'sorry' go figure 😞

This reminds me of a story in my hometown. I grew up playing in the cemetery next to my grandparents house in the 90s. I remember always seeing this small headstone with 4 separate bdays all the same day of death. I use to wonder if there was a car accident or house fire. I believe they died in the 1940s or 50s. Our town has “history of Arkansas City” Facebook group and I asked around on there. Come to find out they were a poor family of 5 kids. The 4 older kids (ages 6-14 I believe) had went to this pond down the street. It’s still there today. And they all drowned. They think they all tried to save eachother. So sad. The youngest sibling had stayed home. A year later their house burned down. Such a sad story.

The first case is absolutely heartwrenching - they all are, but this one really stands out. It doesn't seem like a random murder - people carry around guns, but who carries a hammer? Seems like someone who knew they couldn't make noise. Also, seven blows to the head, none killing instantly - could this hint at smaller physical strength of the attacker? Or a personal grudge? Did Gail reject someone's advances, did she have a quarrel with someone e.g. when shopping? Was there a person living nearby who knew the family and their habits and was perhaps a bit weirdo? Someone who could be provoked by what most people would just pass?

I think a new autopsy should be done on Gail and Butchie. The father’s scream was heard at the house, so it seems screams of two people being beaten by a hammer would have been heard too. And a thumb injury doesn’t seem enough of a defensive wound. If Gail was able to fight back, I’m thinking there would be many more wounds.

That last one is from my hometown. It'll likely never be resolved. I was told that this is because the sheriff at the time was dating their mom. It's such a "good ole boy" system down there. There is a person that is still there that many refer to as "the guy they thought killed those two girls". Gotta love small southern towns. Take the bad with the good.

Couldn't you contact the FBI or the state police if you know this and know the name of the person. They may open a case if they can't get the community to talk they can't do an investigation. They have to have somebody lead them in the right direction and if people are afraid of the person who might have done the murder well especially could it have been the sheriff and the mother because they didn't want to have to deal with the kids or the mother had somebody off her kids because she wanted to be free? I mean we see such horrific stuff today who knows? If you have an idea you have heard something it is up to you to try and get it to the right people. You may think other people have tried to do it but I can guarantee you they probably think the same way you do oh well someone else probably already tried to say this and it went nowhere no nobody's tried to say anything because there's been no investigation. Especially if you know the people who think this is the way it went they could be brought in as Witnesses and interrogated they might have got away with it because the right people were not questioned.

I wonder how many deaths could have been solved or even prevented if cops did their fucking jobs & stopped calling kids runaways. And before anyone jumps on me, my father is a cop, I'm a cop kid, so I have an inside view of how they think & work. Thank God for John Walsh & Donna Whitson (Amber Hagerman's mother) & countless others who fought to get the laws changed & the formation of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at the FBI because a lot of these older cold cases are more than likely committed by serial killers, but no one knew at the time. A lot of cold cases are being tied to killers that are in prison right now or have since passed.
If I were a parent back then & this happened to me, I would have brought that department to its knees.

On the first case, there should have been cast off blood that landed on the ground even if killed in the water. If they were already dead then no blood. Even with bodies in water there clothes would have been blood stained somewhere. It sounds as if they were drowned first then hit and she injured her hand trying to protect the boy or herself. This indicates personal motive and as she was hit more times against her not the boy IMO. There were no screams that close to the house leading me to wonder if they were drugged. I mean how do you subdue two at once otherwise? They were placed close together meaning someone didn’t want one of them to be alone. This IMO was not a stranger killing.

They never reached the superstar status of say, Whitney Houston.

Some unsettling questions: Was there a missing hammer from the Schultz toolshed? Did the mother just stand at the kitchen window and watch as her husband dragged their children from the pond or lake, or did she rush out of the house? The boy got 3 hits. He was easy. The girl got 7 hits--she must have fought back. They were in a rural area. Why would someone outside of the family come after the children? Something's not adding up here.

At first I thought the adult daughter was the victim, then I thought the adult daughter was Plew, but not the victim. Now I know Plew is the victim but who are those three?

I love these videos but it's so hard to listen to them when it seems like the narrator needs to clear her throat. I know it seems like a small thing to complain about but it seems like she is reading through a clogged throat like clearing it would make the reading so much clearer and easy to listen to. Really I'm not being mean. Am I the only one that notices it ?

How would she strike her self in the head seven times? Wouldn’t there be any weapon of some sort in her hand if she killed her self by striking her self in the head seven times. If the first several times already killed her how would she continue to strike her self in the head after she was dead? Just points to ponder how someone continues to hit them self in the head after they’re already dead.
