God imagine how much toll it took on Gail & Butchie's father that he perished just a year after their death! Utterly heartbreaking! :(
I know if that happened to my children, I wouldn't have made it that long.
@Humayra F, With you all the way Sister, terribly sad 😔
Blessed Be Xxx 🙏🏼 ❤️ 🍀 🗺️ 🏴
@@JM-lw3nx Other what? 🤔
Science has come to discover that heartbreak does kill. Poor man.
I was going to make a similar post, but add that I also feel deeply for the mother who lost all 3.
That father was 36 years old when his children died. He was 37 years old when he died from a heart attack or perhaps a broken heart 💔
I love that Gail's classmates put up such a wonderful memorial.
It was a nice gesture but only $2000? That’s a big area, I think they would’ve had a better turnout.
@@melissasmith4684 are you trying to shame complete strangers for not being the right amount of selflessly generous?
@elizabeth denkinger the people who donated no, the school community as a whole yes
This first story is gut wrenching. How sad! All three stories are so difficult to understand. How can people do these horrible things to others.
There's a lot of sick, cold hearted monsters out there.
@Iam Notafan At that point, I don't think that I would have been as forgiving as you!
What a comment from your Dr/therapist. 😱
In my opinion/experience, bad BAD things happen and a person can go two ways, care more or become a monster and let the cycle continue.
You sound like a Wonderful Person, and I genuinely wish you well Xxx 🙏🏼 ❤️ 🍀 🗺️ 🏴
@Lon Hixson ~ and they fully believe that their 'god' will forgive them 😆 in fact, the Christian 'god' does exactly that! The brutal murderers, priest's promise them that...even those on death row, are forgiven from God (even for raping and murdering young children ffs) through their priest, if the priest is satisfied that the dreadful, torturing killer is really 'sorry' go figure 😞
They may call themselves Christians, but they are not. A true Christian puts the lives of others before themselves.
As soon as you started describing Gail and Butchie I really wished I didn't know the outcome. The worst things seem to happen to people who deserve them least.
Thanks for all your hard work on these videos. They're all so well-researched. Great job!
All of the stories are sad but Gail and butchies made me tear up
I had chills the whole time, what an amazing sister so sad.
All of these are tragic but Butchie and Gail's story made me weep. I have a younger brother too! :( Can't possibly imagine why someone would want to hurt innocent kids.
Losing one child is unbearable, I can't even imagine multiple and at the same time! 💔😥
My sister was murdered in Georgia in 1987. She was only 15 and to this day it has never been solved. I miss here.
Sorry to hear about your sister- maybe you can get this channel to give her case some needed exposer.
I live in Georgia, I would of been 19 years old living in Lavonia, Ga. What town and what was her full name?
:( ♡
I am so sorry you had to endure such pain of losing your sister, I live in hope with you that you will receive justice one day.
It may help to put her name here. You never know who knows what. Some people go into rabbit holes from one name
I love that you cover older cases like the first one in this video, especially that you give a quick sense of how these people lived (rather than just the details of the crimes). I hope you continue w/ these periodically even if they aren't the most viewed on your channel.
It’s so sad and horrendous when young innocent children get murdered, this proves to me monsters really do exist.
As a child I was afraid of the Wicked Witch of the West, the "monster" under my bed and ghosts and Godzilla. As an adult I learned the awful truth - all of the REAL monsters are human.
@ wise old owl I agree, and it's scary!
Wise Old Owl That’s about right.
Who else likes it before they watch it ? Keep up the fantastic work Heavy Casefiles !
Always! 😇
I do always do. Great content.
Yep!

This reminds me of a story in my hometown. I grew up playing in the cemetery next to my grandparents house in the 90s. I remember always seeing this small headstone with 4 separate bdays all the same day of death. I use to wonder if there was a car accident or house fire. I believe they died in the 1940s or 50s. Our town has “history of Arkansas City” Facebook group and I asked around on there. Come to find out they were a poor family of 5 kids. The 4 older kids (ages 6-14 I believe) had went to this pond down the street. It’s still there today. And they all drowned. They think they all tried to save eachother. So sad. The youngest sibling had stayed home. A year later their house burned down. Such a sad story.
Oh, man that is simply tragic.
😥 story did u ever see ghost in the grave yard is your folks home haunted living so close to grave yard id be afraid to look out my window at nite living so close to there
@@lisawalls1007 I would love to live near a cemetery. I imagine it would be peaceful.
@@lisawalls1007 Seriously? You must be very young.
What part of Arkansas are talking about if you don't mind me asking I live in Arkansas and would like to do some research on this if you could remember a name or year and could tell where this happened at
I hate the term “ Half sibling” if we share a parent you’re my sibling period 😒
It’s usually just used for context. It’s a paints a picture and scenario.
Gail and Butchies deaths are suspicious to say the least! No one heard screams? There were no foot prints of either Gail or butchie trying to run away? 7 blows before Gail died.
Donna Glaser right! She fought! Probably trying to save her brother.
The boy got hit first and the girl did not run to assist the boy and as far as foot prints would be none if killer used the creek to walk. I just hope the killer rots in hell and the kids paid him a visit in the afterlife
Awful things happen in this world. All we can do is try to find the good things. This channel is one of those good things. I appreciate your hard work and wonderful videos, especially on Aboriginal women. All of this needs to be talked about.
The first case is absolutely heartwrenching - they all are, but this one really stands out. It doesn't seem like a random murder - people carry around guns, but who carries a hammer? Seems like someone who knew they couldn't make noise. Also, seven blows to the head, none killing instantly - could this hint at smaller physical strength of the attacker? Or a personal grudge? Did Gail reject someone's advances, did she have a quarrel with someone e.g. when shopping? Was there a person living nearby who knew the family and their habits and was perhaps a bit weirdo? Someone who could be provoked by what most people would just pass?
Good questions. I asked, what of those from the church;
Had others known of this 'trust' arrangement? Lawyer or Banker? The era, small[er] towns, friends talk.
~ there was a homeless man living in the vicinity, the young boy made unusual sounds, it is quite possible that a homeless guy would carry a hammer...self protection? a stolen hammer? who knows now? this'll never be solved
I was wondering about the child they stopped and asked if they wanted to come to the creek to play with them but had to clean there basement! could this child came and killed them and then went back to cleaning the basement? just a thought!
Sad stuff. The person who did it is dead most likely.
Seven blows to Gail does speak of a smaller person. I have a thought that it was the cousin. He was the only one who brought up how he thought his cousin was annoying. I know he was only 9 but that's not that small.
I think a new autopsy should be done on Gail and Butchie. The father’s scream was heard at the house, so it seems screams of two people being beaten by a hammer would have been heard too. And a thumb injury doesn’t seem enough of a defensive wound. If Gail was able to fight back, I’m thinking there would be many more wounds.
There are monsters out there
Yes. We all are monsters by your defintion. Some of us manage to keep it in check though

That last one is from my hometown. It'll likely never be resolved. I was told that this is because the sheriff at the time was dating their mom. It's such a "good ole boy" system down there. There is a person that is still there that many refer to as "the guy they thought killed those two girls". Gotta love small southern towns. Take the bad with the good.
Yeah, but why would he have killed them?
Couldn't you contact the FBI or the state police if you know this and know the name of the person. They may open a case if they can't get the community to talk they can't do an investigation. They have to have somebody lead them in the right direction and if people are afraid of the person who might have done the murder well especially could it have been the sheriff and the mother because they didn't want to have to deal with the kids or the mother had somebody off her kids because she wanted to be free? I mean we see such horrific stuff today who knows? If you have an idea you have heard something it is up to you to try and get it to the right people. You may think other people have tried to do it but I can guarantee you they probably think the same way you do oh well someone else probably already tried to say this and it went nowhere no nobody's tried to say anything because there's been no investigation. Especially if you know the people who think this is the way it went they could be brought in as Witnesses and interrogated they might have got away with it because the right people were not questioned.
Do people know who the guy they were last seen talking too was? He’s most likely the killer.
As tragic as it would be to lose a child it is unfathomable to lose two. Great job.
Thank you for your research work. Your narratives are eloquent and respectful and objective. Great stuff
This is so tragic.
These are ALL tragic.
Indeed.
You mentioned that a neighbor was putting his TOOLS away as the dad screamed. My first thought was check that neighbor.
I think this person was working with Paul Schultz Sr in the basement of the Schultz home . When Paul Sr left the basement to call the kids in for dinner, his assistant packed up his tools and brought them out to his car. This is what he was doing when he heard Paul Sr screaming.
Heartbreaking all round💕💜🙂😘 Thank you heavy casefiles, I look forward to your cases. They are so sad, sometimes open and sometimes someone gets held to account for taking another life. All deserve to have their story told. Good work. Joanne NZ 🙂
I notice the narrators voice usually gets a little bit croaky during certain bits. It’s not clear if she’s running out of wind a bit or if she’s holding back emotion but boy does it do the trick of making me choke up. I think it’s especially apparent with cases involving kids. Either way good job!
I despair.

I wonder how many kids and young people if the police didn’t constantly come out with the runaway theory.
I love watching these.
Me too 😊
As usual, you bring important cases that have not received much, if any, general attention, and you give clear, succinct information that is relevant (so many channels pad out their info). Another excellent job!
5:20 Thankfully the funeral director spoke up. Lazy cops.
The cops weren't called or involved until the undertaker called them.
Whoever murdered the Shultz kids got away with it here on this earth, they lived with the guilt and 8m sure are probably dead now. But they will stand before God and be punished for what they did.
@TheDodicat Look on the bright side, it will only SEEM like an eternity while you burn in hell.

Lon Hixson ok find something better to do than trying to start arguments with people on youtube, good day
Great channel and appreciate the content and information
Hopefully at least 1 or 2 of these cases get solved. The one from 1953 I doubt it unfortunately!!!
These are all horrible. It seems the younger the victims are, the more tragic the cases. I hope they are in peace and I hope karma gave the murderer(s) exactly what they deserved.
Having an autistic son myself this hurts so badly to hear. Eternal rest, grant onto them, o Lord and let your light shine upon them.
Interesting stories but very sad circumstances
Would you consider looking into the case of Alissa Turney? Her sister has a podcast, Voices of Justice and it is heartbreaking. ❤
💕I’d have loved to have seen some of Gail Schultz’s art work.
Thank you for sharing this story on Gail and Butchie. I'm from the Nazareth area and have not heard of this story.
I absolutely love all your videos and your voice.
I wonder how many deaths could have been solved or even prevented if cops did their fucking jobs & stopped calling kids runaways. And before anyone jumps on me, my father is a cop, I'm a cop kid, so I have an inside view of how they think & work. Thank God for John Walsh & Donna Whitson (Amber Hagerman's mother) & countless others who fought to get the laws changed & the formation of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at the FBI because a lot of these older cold cases are more than likely committed by serial killers, but no one knew at the time. A lot of cold cases are being tied to killers that are in prison right now or have since passed.
If I were a parent back then & this happened to me, I would have brought that department to its knees.
"His roommate had stabbed Laland to death because he had been singing and keeping him awake." Alrighty. Wow!
Lovely channel
Sadly, this really hits home with the realization and the fact that the world we live in is an evil, scary, and unsafe place to be, especially right now. However this gives us all the more reason to focus on the good in this world, the hope that we can do more to better others as well as ourselves...and most importantly, to love and to help one another the most we can)! ❤️ 🕊 💕 🌎 🤗 🤝✌🏼🖖🏼 ☮️ 👩❤️👨👩❤️👩👨❤️👨💐🌹🌻🌟🌝🌛✨💫⭐️💥❄️🎂🥂
Crazily, crime is at an all-time low in the US, peaking in the 70's-80's, declining steadily since the early 90's. Google it if you don't believe me. We have access to more information and see every horrible thing in our sensationalist news, but in reality, as a society we're behaving better than ever.
someone said they didnt like this older background music? I think it really suits the topic. Another great vid. Thanks for posting these :)
Can’t wait although I might save this for tonight! Thanks always.

How?
Butchie...
the cases arent similar whatsoever
Thanks for going out of your way for these programmes. The reason I don't press the like is because it's about a murder.
I can understand your hesitation about hitting the like button. This is another way to get these cases to the public and someone just might know something related to the murderers, that reason alone makes it easier for me to hit the like button.
15 seconds in and I already know it's gonna be Good! likededed it.
On the first case, there should have been cast off blood that landed on the ground even if killed in the water. If they were already dead then no blood. Even with bodies in water there clothes would have been blood stained somewhere. It sounds as if they were drowned first then hit and she injured her hand trying to protect the boy or herself. This indicates personal motive and as she was hit more times against her not the boy IMO. There were no screams that close to the house leading me to wonder if they were drugged. I mean how do you subdue two at once otherwise? They were placed close together meaning someone didn’t want one of them to be alone. This IMO was not a stranger killing.
Poor family , finding your children in a creek , God Bless them both ! .
Love your channel and uploads 💖💖💖💖
Sad cases but a very nice video thnx.
Good on you. What a beautiful service you are to humanity.
When I clicked on this, I was watching a documentary about a singer and part of her story is how close she was to her brother and how hard it was when he got cancer and passed. It's weird to see casefiles about murdered siblings.
spleengrrrl Curious... who is the singer. 😟
@@damarisrodriguez5118 Cheryl Pepsii Riley. She's mostly known for "Thanks for My Child", a song about being a single mom. She was featured on "Unsung", a show that documents the musical lives of lesser-known R & B stars. Some of them you know the songs well but not the artist. They never reached the superstar status of say, Whitney Houston.
Very Nice Job, Thank Yoju
Saddly, Gail and Butchie case will never be solved in our live time. It's been too long.
These are all such very sad Cases 😢 I hope&pray they'll be solved soon with recent advances in Technology 💕
RIP
Butchie was definitely killed for being handicapped. That happened a lot back then. People thought it was best to put them out of their misery. Gail was probably protecting him when they were both attacked.
Some unsettling questions: Was there a missing hammer from the Schultz toolshed? Did the mother just stand at the kitchen window and watch as her husband dragged their children from the pond or lake, or did she rush out of the house? The boy got 3 hits. He was easy. The girl got 7 hits--she must have fought back. They were in a rural area. Why would someone outside of the family come after the children? Something's not adding up here.
Whoever gave you a thumbs down must've had a bad day. You're awesome 😉😉😉😉
Last case, the father was was murdered because he was singing. How sad. And his daughter murdered years later😔
Terrible.
THE CHURCH. Did anyone look into those from the church in schultz case? Very nice & Very Sad story of those two.
Those poor children , what sort of Monster would do such a thing ! .
how do i go about submitting a case? this woman had dementia. she was 73 years old. this took place in vero beach florida. she was seen getting into a vehicle & dissapeared. you can google her name. i do not know this woman or her family. its just always bothered me. i dont think the media is doing enough to keep her name in the spotlight. thank you in advance
Susy Tomassi walked away from the Quilted Giraffe restaurant in Vero Beach on March 16, 2018, and hasn't been seen since.
She already covered her case in this video: ua-cam.com/video/RudWhCw6wfg/v-deo.html

Can you please do a follow up to the case about that women who was super religious (and had many people dead, got with the author) and then her two children went missing? I heard they found their bodies
Almost made me 😪 especially the last one😣
$5000 reward? are you US folks that broke/poor? in Australia most rewards start at $250,000 and go up to $1 million on many cases... you would never hear of a $5000 reward, except from the 70's...
Love this thankyou for your research I grad of Nazareth also but much later
I’m sure whoever killed the children was a local who knew them both.

Question. I've listened to the second case three times and I still can't figure who are Michelle Kraft, Keith James, and their "adult daughter"? At first I thought the adult daughter was the victim, then I thought the adult daughter was Plew, but not the victim. Now I know Plew is the victim but who are those three?

If only.the girl's reward could be bigger after so long. It's the kind of time that has passed this would need widespread coverage with a hefty reward that would actually get the person to the county and back. Or country!.To testify or whatever need be. Please could you change the background music? The other one was so perfect for the content this channel brings out! You used that sporadically, but now you have settled to this. Why?
unfortunately someone has been making false copyright claims on that music. the actual copyright holder has been working on it for months but for now any video i try to upload with that background music gets copyright flagged so i have to stick with just this music.
Maybe gails ex boyfriend got his revenge
That picture of Gail & Butchie sitting on a covered chair seems to have a creeper in the background. Unless it's my imagination...
I love these videos but it's so hard to listen to them when it seems like the narrator needs to clear her throat. I know it seems like a small thing to complain about but it seems like she is reading through a clogged throat like clearing it would make the reading so much clearer and easy to listen to. Really I'm not being mean. Am I the only one that notices it ?
I understand she has a lung condition that affects her voice.
Why do you watch/listen if you don't like to watch/listen? 🤔
If you don't like the pace of the speaker try listening at 1.25 speed or turn on CC.

I’m sorry but I think the parents were involved. The guilt killed the father
Think Butchie maybe had downs syndrome
Downs is easy to diagnose due to a very distinctive physical presentation. It was first described in 1866, so doctors were well aware of it by the 1950s. His photos don't show any sign of Downs.
No, I can't agree as Butchie doesn't have the physical similarities of someone with Downs.
Down syndrome is super easy to diagnose especially in an older child they all have facial features that are very unusual. Butchie doesn’t have Down syndrome.

Gale may have had found it very difficult to look after and care for her brother and she may have murdered him and herself
How would she strike her self in the head seven times? Wouldn’t there be any weapon of some sort in her hand if she killed her self by striking her self in the head seven times. If the first several times already killed her how would she continue to strike her self in the head after she was dead? Just points to ponder how someone continues to hit them self in the head after they’re already dead.
