Stuart Adamson and son Callum perform Supernatural and Chance and the accompanying picture is from the day's performance.
Lead vocals of the song Supernatural on the album Supernatural was performed by Marcus Hummon. This is Stuart's vocal take on it.
This may well be Stuart's very last live performance, a week after the low-key and ill-fated UK tour of The Raphaels ended. I can't find any later dates of him playing so although that makes this a very sad moment, it's something that I felt was still worth sharing.
Bitter sweet.....saw him at dingwalls 15th of may , have a bootleg stashed of the gig . An emotional listen.......god I miss him.
Yeah, was there too at front, was sad to see how he was
I was there as well ! :)
Loved, Missed, and forever in the hearts of the people you touched with your music. STUART ADAMSON god bless you x
That was gorgeous and heartbreaking.
That was like hearing from an old friend that you hadn't been in contact with for many years. So sad he wasn't able to overcome his demons. As a side note, how nice to hear a live version of Chance without the audience chanting "2,3,4" on every chorus.
This version of Chance is short, beautiful, and heartbreaking The lyrics never sounded more poignant if this is the last public airing by the author, dear Stuart. Thank you for sharing.
It’s hard to believe that Stuart would be gone just 7 months later. He is missed.
Did I hear a bit of Steve Earle’s Copperhead Road” during “Supernatural”?
I can hear a similarity in a few chord progressions, Lisa!
Absolutely love the Raphaels album. This is so great to hear.
Oh boy, thanks Andy.
Bitter sweet beautiful. 🌈
Beautiful. And haunting. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful soul, we miss you Stuart
Another poignant gem. I was always intrigued as to whether Callum, like Kirsten, had publicly performed with his Dad. Stuart seemed on a familiar crest sharing the joys of his life in his music with a pinch of humour. From the heart, sadly missed.
Oh wow!
Both Kirsten and Callum performed onstage with Stuart on Big Country’s Final Fling tour. You can find it here on UA-cam, it’s awesome. :)
@@lisaknell1809 I was there.
Wow ! Thanks. What a great addition for the BC history. Couldn't help but think what a crazy upbringing Callum must have had , his Dad away so much , the break up , and after this a turbulent last year with his Dad. A lot for such a young man to take in . We can only hope Callum is able to find peace, joy and contentment for the rest of his life . Thanks again
What a find! Thank you.
Amazing talent, AWESOME STUART ADAMSON!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 BIG COUNTRY are my favourite band
He was so, so special.
Love this. The timing is so tragic and moving.
Such an awesome video. It brings pleasure and pain. Pleasure to hear Stuart sound happy and pain to remember that less than a year later, this was no longer true.
I got goosebumps and tears in my eyes listening to this.
A gem 😘
Thanks for sharing this. Brings up such mixed feelings...
Greatly missed
💖💖💖
Fantastic! Stuart irreplaceable!
I'll never forget, I had just gotten dial up internet at my house by this time and I checked out the big country website, bands having a website was kind of a newish thing, and then I look on there one day and they post an announcement nobody can find Stuart, nobody knows how to get in touch with him and can someone please help. Then I check in a few days later and they announced he was finally found. had committed suicide. I couldn't believe it I was just shocked
What a great recording! Much better than the album version. Stuart sounded great
Thank you kindly 🤝
Beautiful
he was so carasmatic
amazing! xxx
love it but also makes me sad.
A sad time but thanks for sharing 👍
Just love this.
Who's cutting onions?
love this
❤❤Fab
This is very special. Stuart and Callum playing together. He sounds so normal and so Stuart. Yet 7 months later.....
Why was The Raphaels UK tour "ill fated" ?
Stuart wasn't well at all for a couple of the shows, then didn’t show up at all for another which led to the cancellation of the very last night of the tour's performance in Ireland. Heartbreaking for everyone who loved him so much to see this unfold.
He was in good form here though and, by all reports was in fine form for other dates on that Raphaels' tour as well.
Shame I Think, He Stayed in Nashville, Far Too Long,
@@philipthompson8525 I definitely agree with you.
Glad the audience didn't break out into the "2. . .3. . .4" bullsh*t on 'Chance.'
Is he playing the harmonica or his son?
Stuart played it and when he alludes to being “strapped up” at the beginning, I think he's talking about the harmonica frame he's wearing
That makes sense. I sort of ignored Supernatural. Not bad to hear Stuart sing it. The record would interest me if he sang them all@@BC1000Stars
The one's that he sang and wrote are the best on the album
