I studied Veda’s and practiced Hindu religion for many years. Vedas are eternal knowledge that was passed on from generation to generation until it needed to be written down because of the way humans became limited in their abilities to memorise and humanity entered the circle of Kali Yuga, which is short memory and short life span. Vedas is the instruction to human kind by wich we can live and understand the universe and creation and ourselves. So we can live in harmony with everything. It’s not really a religion but dharma, way of living.

Wow. Those texts estimated the age of our universe as 4.32 billion years (without multiple supercomputers working overtime) whereas current astronomy estimates it at 4.5 billion! As per modern science the current estimate of Age of Universe is 13.7 billion years but the competancy of Ancient Hindu Scholar to be able to work on such scale of measurements when the rest of the schools of science/religions/philosophy were taking about flat earth and a pair of humans roaming in a garden, is just commendable and noteworthy.
Actually that's off by 9.4 billion years. It was a better guess than most, but still way off. If the text was divinely inspired, then it should be correct, not just the best guess at the time.

The time measurement is described in detail in the Shiva Purana. It represents cosmic time. Time in western science is all related to earths movement(as if earth is the center of the universe 😀 ) Time in Shiva Purana is related to cosmos, from the beginning of creation. The basic unit of time is a nimisha, which is roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye(basic involuntary action within us)
And wtf is western science, it's just science. There are a lot of co cepts in Hinduism that are ahead of its time and a lot of them are also scientifically based, but it's not a 1:1 comparison with modern day version of science

Think about lifespan of mosquito that lives for 10-20 days, which is insignificant to us. It goes all the way through taking birth, living, reproducing and death in that 10 days. Time indeed is relative and can be perceived differently for different species, planets, solar system, galaxies and so on
All this is documented in our oldest texts which are thousands of years B.C.. Even then India had astronomy, astrology, medicine, surgery, etc. and accurate measurements of distances to the moon, sun, planets, etc.and for astrology and astronomy we had 'advanced ephemeris-for 100 years (1951 to 2050)', for example with detailed positions of planets and changes in their positions with exact time mentioned in the tables which are required as basis for making predictions in astrology. And they are available online in the form of PDFs. Of course many ancient tables would have been destroyed by Muslim invaders in India when they burned down our ancient universities and libraries. Our library in Nalanda was so huge that it is mentioned that it took over seven months to burn down completely. Then there were British who studied and stole our technologies and told the world that Indians were illiterate, backward, etc.while they looted our country of advanced technology, economy, wealth. In fact, even today the gold privately held in the hands of Indian women is said to be about 11% of all the gold ever extracted from earth. Indian calculations of that time and Indian texts, which were called as myths a few centuries ago by the British are now being confirmed as quite accurate by scientists.

Also the education system of gurukuls was replaced by english system that emphasizes on English more than our native languages. But now that India is standing on its own two feet, we have begun to realize our ancient treasure of knowledge and beginning to spread it.

We had Nalanda and Taxshila universities in older time in India, which one can compare with modern day MIT People came from all over the world to do study and research in India. But our land was invaded and looted by many foreigners and our ancient text of these universities, culture, civilization were destroyed. My dad who have no formal education and doesn't know English but was a monk (Buddhist) once told me that earth is just a small speck of dirt and there are millions and trillions universe and life. He have so much knowledge it's amazing how he knows those things.
For an example, You will find that distance between sun and earth was discovered in between 1900 to 1960 around. In the Hanuman chalisa you will see this distance is already mentioned many thousands years back.

So, they are the immortal beings who is assigned the duty of directing humans and passing the knowledge through all the 4 yugas which were mentioned in this video (In this reaction video, you can see it at 6: 20). We Hindus must start reading our ancient Scriptures, like purans, vedas etc. We should not let our culture fade, every school must teach our ancient languages such as Sanskrit and Tamil.

The thing is Indian subcontinent is naturally very well shielded from external attacks and then tremendous amounts of natural resources to sustain a big population. So what people in India did, is study and they studied EVERYTHING. Maths, philosophy religion, martial arts, art, dance, music, science. This also became culture and knowledgeable people started being more appreciated and respected throughout the subcontinent and hence the domino effect causing people to search more and more knowledge. And this happened for 1000s of years continuously. So in India you find great sages talking about everything most of which is pretty accurate and we can prove now through research. Some of it as the age of Brahma and age of universe are difficult to prove but who knows, someday maybe.

We know these are stories that were being told since 1000s of years. But the essence or the truth behind it is something we are mindful of. I hope you all understand that Hinduism is a symbolic religion rather than a literal one. We don't believe there's a flower growing from the navel of a sleeping Lord Vishnu, instead we believe the various things it means. Things that aren't really easy to say clearly in words, but are better said in symbols and metaphors.
Our measurements are often cosmic. Like, the calender is based on cosmic bodies, our maths is based on stellar calculations. The answers are as complex as it should be to make you interested. Go and read about it.

Basically the end is gonna be this way, the sun will keep on increasing in size to either become a Super Red Giant or a Blue Giant and will engulf Mercury, Venus and Earth(possibly Mars too). Then it will burst and die out or form a black hole, hence ending this solar system or maybe 3 or 4 more such nearby solar systems. But before sun begins to engulf the planet, Earth is gonna become inhabitable due to excessive heat. Water will start boiling in the seas, Glacier caps and ice will no longer exist. As per modern science the current estimate of Age of Universe is 13.7 billion years but the competancy of Ancient Hindu Scholar to be able to work on such scale of measurements when the rest of the schools of science/religions/philosophy were taking about flat earth and a pair of humans roaming in a garden, is just commendable and noteworthy.

And they are available online in the form of PDFs. Of course many ancient tables would have been destroyed by Muslim invaders in India when they burned down our ancient universities and libraries. Our library in Nalanda was so huge that it is mentioned that it took over seven months to burn down completely. Then there were British who studied and stole our technologies and told the world that Indians were illiterate, backward, etc.while they looted our country of advanced technology, economy, wealth. In fact, even today the gold privately held in the hands of Indian women is said to be about 11% of all the gold ever extracted from earth. Indian calculations of that time and Indian texts, which were called as myths a few centuries ago by the British are now being confirmed as quite accurate by scientists.

The thing is Indian subcontinent is naturally very well shielded from external attacks and then tremendous amounts of natural resources to sustain a big population. So what people in India did, is study and they studied EVERYTHING. Maths, philosophy religion, martial arts, art, dance, music, science. This also became culture and knowledgeable people started being more appreciated and respected throughout the subcontinent and hence the domino effect causing people to search more and more knowledge. And this happened for 1000s of years continuously. So in India you find great sages talking about everything most of which is pretty accurate and we can prove now through research. Some of it as the age of Brahma and age of universe are difficult to prove but who knows, someday maybe.

I can relate with Syntell trying to figure out, "How did in ancient times people come up with all this stuff". Maybe we underestimate the simplicity of it. Not that it's not an easy feat. But we must remember that a religious text or religion's saying doesn't affect the fate of the Celestial Bodies be it a planet or be it a star.
Basically the end is gonna be this way, the sun will keep on increasing in size to either become a Super Red Giant or a Blue Giant and will engulf Mercury, Venus and Earth(possibly Mars too). Then it will burst and die out or form a black hole, hence ending this solar system or maybe 3 or 4 more such nearby solar systems. But before sun begins to engulf the planet, Earth is gonna become inhabitable due to excessive heat. Water will start boiling in the seas, Glacier caps and ice will no longer exist. Hence, no trees=no animal life. But that's gonna take approx. a billion years to happen so nothing to worry ✌️
