  • I've had the Godox AD300 Pro for more than half a year now so I'm finally reviewing it in this video. I can easily tell you that I absolutely love it & it's hands down my most favorite strobe from Godox to date. In this video I go over why and also show you a fun photoshoot I did using the light!😁

    I like the idea of the AD300 compared to my AD600 pro and Ad200 pro as I have the desire for an in-between power range that is lighter, however, I usually use extension heads due to my worry with wind, etc (Already lost a ad600 in the past). Sadly, this has not been available yet for the Ad300. Might still try it, but that would be nice if they came out with a head extension for the 300 as well.

    Good review about the AD300 pro. Regarding the shooting, probably that's the look that you are going after. But I think that background is a little bit underexposed compared the subject which make the photo looks unnatural and it's obvious that a flash was used. Regarding the action shot what do you think went wrong. Is the AD300 pro not powerful enough to allow a fast shutter speed to freeze motion ?

    • @fjhphoto
      @fjhphoto  3 роки тому +4

      I intentionally aimed for motion for the action shot. And I don't care for a natural looking shot in my photos. I use off camera flash to create photos not possible with only natural light.

Our budget is very limited and I am looking at Godox AD300 Pro with a 120 CM Octabox as my key light. I already have a Godox TT685 and a small softbox which I can use as a rim/hair light or as a secondary source to light up the background. Hey there, how're you? maybe you can helpmeet with a question. I have a pair of AD300Pros and a X-Pro Trigger, and for now have no light meter, so I want to use the TCM function. The question is, which of the options for the TCM I must use for correctly expose with the AD300Pro?, in the menu I only have 'Speedlight (the icon)', '200j', '360j' and '600j'. Thanks in advance!!

    AD300 or 400Pro? Both on sale at Adorama and they are only $20 difference! I really love the portability of the AD300 but for the good price of the 400Pro and it's power... it's really tempting. In you opinion, is the slight heavier weight and a little more power worth it being more $200 cheaper now from the regular price? Or just go with the AD300 if the reduced power from the 400 not that big? Thanks for your advice!

      Get the 400 Pro. At the small price difference it's the better buy. Please use this link to order as it will help me out.😊
