I love how the lady @ around 36:00 asked how she could be more approachable. This shows how much women want to be approached (in a correct/respectful way of course) and why men should not be afraid of approaching. On the contrary, men should embrace their impulse to approach women and go for it. Even the man that is rejected, will be held to a higher standard than if he did not approach.

#1 - ask an open ended question related to the location or what brought them there
#2 - career/passion/what excites them (soften with "I'm curious" or a reason why you're asking)
    - what inspired you to become ____
    - repeat back sequence of words or movements they lean on
#3 - when you tell your "me too" experience, use the same word sequence they used.

    • @dlwatib
      @dlwatib 10 років тому +107

Level 3 is to ask about past pleasant childhood experiences. This lets them associate their most powerful positive feelings with you because they have to go back into the experience to tell you about it.

Id usually study the floor. Made me feel good, her too as she went from shy to beaming right back at me. Probably never see her again but was very good! Might just go for a wander round town tomorrow but will have to chill out on the grinning and eyebrow raises in-case people assume i have tourettes...:) thank-you!

That's a very good question. If you are referring to step three of the 3 magic questions protocol, In the context of dating and relationships and especially on a first date, ideally you would change the subject and remove that person as a potential dating or mating partner. Remember 3MQ is a dating and attraction protocol specifically designed to generate attraction while simultaneously evoking and eliciting information about the person so that the operator can make an informed choice as to the suitability of the subject as a potential partner.
I really can't stress that part enough. When we use 3 mq in a dating context we are NOT signing up to get into a less than optimal relationship. If you ask someone to talk about their most pleasant childhood experiences and the first thing they come up with to someone they are with for the first time all about sexual trauma, abuse or anything even remotely similar, my advice is to eject unless you really want to deal with the drama and baggage this person is bringing to the relationship.
    A. Because the person isn't giving you the information you asked for (strike one)
    B. They Are Giving you Information You Didn't Ask For (Strike Two)
    C. They Will Bring all of that "baggage" into any relationship you create and you'll be the one who has to deal with it.(Strike Three)
Sounds Harsh, even to me as I write it, but remember dating and relating is about finding the people who make your life better. If the person doesn't meet that criteria, the both of you are better off moving on.
    Hope that helps.
    Your friend,
    David

Some folks have asked me why I transcribe David's videos. I do it because I am slightly hard of hearing and by having to transcribe them, I get to see and hear (many times) What David is teaching. I am forced to study, and do my homework, as it were, and actually learn the subject well enough to go out and demonstrate it to my local NLP group. That's why I do it. So I can do it. If someone is really an interested student, I will share my crib notes. And truthfully I only get a handful of requests for each video's transcript.. But mostly it's for me. There is no software for this. It is all done by hand and takes 3 hours of my time for about ten minutes of video. So it takes me many days to do a single video. And yes I have now transcribed about 180 of Davids videos. Not all of them I will share.

So I decided to use this protocol on one of my college friends that I dont get to see very often. And I was amazed, she was the one that did most of the speaking during our entire interaction. Most of what I did was just return some of her words. There were like a moment or two in which the conversation went silent though. But what I did was ask another open ended question, like about her career(or in this case, what she was studying). For example, we were talking about an art class of hers for a while and then it went silent for like 5'seconds, which I proceeded with something along lines of "By the way, I wanted to ask, are you still in (insert random major)?". And thus it started another conversation for like 15 minutes, until I had to go to my calculus class.

My daughter almost lost her home after her husband died. She tried renting rooms out and still with the constant repairs and upkeep and the fact her house was $100,000 underwater she couldn't manage the expenses. The bank got fed up with her 60-day delinquency and they proceeded to foreclose. After the foreclosure process began and the reinstatement fees brought the balance owed and late fees from $6,800 to $14,300. my daughter then needed to tell her renters they were going to have to move. She was so worried about these two elderly women living with her that she made herself sick. When she finally lost all hope of saving her home she told her roommates. As it turns out one of these two women had the money to pay the reinstatement fees and offered to put a much needed new roof on the house. Amazing what can happen when you're able to communicate. Who would have ever guessed this little old lady renting a $500 a month room, would be loaded and generous?

So there i was.....on lunch yest and listen to this ....I've heard stuff like this before but then have trouble practicing it. So i took notes on a paper towel. Later i went to my second job where a new coworker asked me to go have a drink and a bite after work. Great! My opportunity to put this into action. He had mentioned earlier that he had written a book and had to speak to his publisher. So while we were out i stated out our convo asking " tell me more about your book, what drove you to write it" .
I repeated his words as he spoke with such passion and drive. He never shut up all night and went from one passion he had to another. Broke out his phone. Showed me pic after pic of all his interests. It was nice cause i didn't have to carry the convo. At some points i stopped listening and my mind wandered but he kept going and i caught up later.
    Thanks i learned alot. ♡

The trainer grabbed my attention within ten minutes. His story resonates with what happened last night to me. I met my little sister's boyfriend. Sitting in the car, he ask me "so Rob, what do you study really?" Off I went. I talked for six minutes straight on my favourite courses. In our total converstion, I talked 80% of the time. Yet, I came to like him very well.
I guess that show the power of these questions.

The way you explain is great. I also think that the questions do elicit a specific strategy..and it does end up with the person being on the verge of falling in love. Like you said, the key is to be willing to let go --> accept or reject.
The other thing is this is a "sealed off" training. Sometimes people's red lights will turn on when you ask them loads of questions as you keep on asking them questions. Sometimes it doesn't work that way. Sometimes people will appreciate the opportunity to talk about themselves.
In this case you are sub-communicating "with me you can talk about yourself" which IS a great thing to do and A strategy to have in a relationship, but at the same time there are other great strategies to sub-communicate - such as...great conversation where you and the other party can "dance words" together...and some of the people would prefer that.
The focus and the manner in which you present this are excellent.

    Hi David
I watched interest the video ,what struck me was i had what i can only describe as a meeting with a lady ....in the most unusual environment where we spent over half an hour where i simply talked with her she was very open and warm with me and we both felt we had made a special connection. It was at a Gentlemans club. Suffice to say i stated very early in our conversation that wasn't an offer i would be interested in and as it was said and heard was such an unimportant part of our chat. So thank you so much for posting this invaluable piece of hindsight/info/help in the areas you touched on my feeling now just confirmed what i felt then...the following day and since. I personally help others in my close group of friends where they have issues dealing with difficult or heartbreaking circumstances and so enjoyed listening and learning more aspects of life....from your experienced perspective. Having watched 3 of your videos so far the more i watch the more im considering becoming an empowerment trainer. So thanks for that too and keep up the excellent work that you do. Thanks Peter

So use the other stuff great but the body language is the most powerful. I Wish we could have a female version of him to watch what men love about us.

the coworker quit and i didn't keep in contact with her. we were just work friends as we had that in common and that's about it. there i go blabbing but mentioned it since its the same situation you had. relationships need to be even.

Very informative. Edna was putting across a fair point though David and you did exactly what you said ...You talked too much over her. Some guys DONT talk!!! they ARE too shy and they talk too little. The core problem is the same..They dont show an interest in their date, but their needs are different.. This technique doesnt work on everyone. To many it would be very obvious that we were being charmed. That doesnt matter though, as you say. Maybe we are enjoying being charmed!!!

Now if your sole answer is to come up with "proven protocol" I have to admit, it is a weak argument. And as a matter of fact, one is no longer looking for arguments here, but real life situation or "in field footage".

This was a great lecture. I have been in a casual relationship with an incredible man and have been "stuck" for the last year in the casual/friend zone. I am wanting more than just a friendship with this man. We are very close and talk a lot, but no matter what we talk about, never seems to move further than friends. We were definitely way past step 1 of you lecture, but I moved into steps 2 and 3. His reaction was incredible. He opened up and continued talking with more passion than I imagined. Not to mention, I learned more about him than I imagine. I enjoyed this more than other programs and videos, because this is NOT game playing like a lot of programs want you to try. I want a mature relationship. Not a false relationship with game playing. THANK You, David. I look forward to watching and learning more from you.

I find the best way to break the 'ice' is to get the other person to say Yes.
Even to the point of purposefully forming the question so the answer can only be yes.
Following answers to questions will be more freely agreed/agreeable/acceptable.
This also does NOT end the conversation, rather it allows the ability to move forward along the same path in an affirmative direction. Psychologically speaking, saying yes convinces yourself more than the one being said yes to.

What an excellent learning experience. This video is like the neighborhood mechanic who explains to his customers in full detail his diagnostic steps, the P-V curve of the Otto cycle, the exact torque with which bolts are supposed to be tightened and how it was determined, etc., and every other mechanic in town hating him for divulging the oft-whispered information that helps them put food on their tables. The PUA industry probably hates this video; I'm glad I've stumbled upon it.

Lol which just happens to be her daddy right now😊Children are precious and they teach us so many things. Aside from that, this is the most helpful video on relationships I’ve seen, like Ever! Please keep up the good work! And thank you for your work is appreciated. I’ve been through three divorces, tons of self help books, oodles of therapy and counseling, all leaving me to continue to make the same mistakes again and again! It is certainly a different perspective for me to look at it as if I am the prize! Instead of me looking for the prize! Also being able to hit the eject button when it is not or when it becomes clear that this is not what I want is also different for me! I don’t know why we always think we have to settle?

This is POWERFUL information! Thank you David for sharing this. I am having AMAZING results using these techniques.
Everyone who is using these methods and this information needs to do so CAREFULLY. It is like walking around with a loaded gun. Keep the safety on and never point it at someone you don't intend to shoot. Most of my experiences using this have been unbelievably good but I also had one terribly bad experience when I created a bond in a business relationship that should not have been there. It's hard to un-do something that you have done. I thought it would be fun and beneficial but actually turned out the opposite.
On the good side...One day recently I walked through the airport and identified the hottest, most unapproachable woman I could find ( on purpose and just as an experiment ). This was someone who I would never, never, never have approached in the past. I collected my thoughts and approached her. An hour later we had dinner plans for the next day. "Dinner" worked out really really well!
    Thank you David!

I assume the face mic audio is what's supposed to be in the right channel and the lapel mic is there so you can hear the audience participation. That's why you can hear everything in the room better than you can hear him. LOL

I love seeing authentic first reactions to simple principles of NLP. I once had the pleasure of watching a homeless guy with no drug issues and a firm grasp of NLP fencing with the staff of a "recovery" based non profit that had a partnership with the county preying on the poor to pad their program reporting numbers. There were a couple PhD's in the room and he literally turned their arguments and motivations to pretzel logic then showed them how he did it. NLP is absolutely fascinating until you happen across someone trying to use it on you. Then it gets spicy as fuck.

Im so so glad I came upon your lecture...full of enthusiasm..... humour, extremely interesting info....but without a great speaker , most of it would have been lost.... You made it simple to understand, which is an essential part of teaching.... Thank you sooo much for your time and energy... Shame that it was hard to hear clearly what the people were asking or saying.... and I did find your daughter running around very, very distracting....I had to keep rewinding the video, to listen again....I think you are an EXCELLENT speaker...and loved how you used modulation with your voice...... Many, many people are very monotonous and I cant get to even the middle of a video.....In your case, it was the opposite Even though its kept me up till super late at night...it was like a book you just cant put down....Well done, David..
