- Welcome back to Four Palms Bay! In today's stream, we'll focus on realistically rapid expansion of the city so that we can fill all of the vacancies that we have in our industrial park. We'll also work to provide utilities locally, since we've been importing everything up until now. Finally, we'll build our first transit service to get everyone to work!

1:50:30 You have to click on the green "Zoning Tool" button twice to be able to change the zoning by clicking on a road. One you are finished, click on that button again to quit this mode.
You are quitting this mode by selecting something else as well, but then you have to click on the "zoning tool" button twice.
If the "Zoning tool" button is grey, the selected zoning mode applies to new roads you are placing.

If you live in South Africa your fence is in front of the house and not in line with the front walls 😂 unless you live in an estate housing complex. This for crime and safety reasons.

Did you know that a majority of black inhabitants of SA arrived at the same time as the Boers or immigrated there during British colonial and even apartheid times? So according to your logic more than half of SA besides the northeastern corner solely belongs to the Khoi & San then and Bantu peoples would have to leave given that most came as conquerors? Or do we use different standards, simply because they share a skin color?
Yes, I find it incredibly ironic how the country was largely rich and stable under full-on evil racism and went to hell in a hand basket when they extended rights to everyone (thanks socialists!).
And no, I would never mash all the different peoples under some weird ominous "black" descriptor. I don't divide people into black and white.
1:17:00 I am running CS2 with a Radeon RX 6800XT even modded, no issues. Therefore I do not understand the recommendation to avoid AMD cards. Just for the record.
Most NVIDIA people get a RX580 or smth and wonder why it isnt as fast as 4070
7800 xt plus ryzen 5 7600x build here, the game run great on 2k 144hz ultra, except when streaming where i have to turn clouds off. There is a noticeable framerate drop with dense population but I believe that is due to the simulation and how AMD shares processes between CPU/GPU. I have one normal map with 120k that runs fine and a one-tile map with 40k and they have about the same performance.
I like that you moved the chat off of the game. It does make it more difficult to see details on mobile but it looks great on a 24" monitor.

I'm not sure how many people actually used it in CS1 but one of the mods I am *really* missing is Compass. It allows you to see which direction you're facing and be able to turn the camera in exactly the direction of N/E/S/W with the click of a button instead of relying on the very imprecise rotation movement.
About 6 weeks ago I installed the tools to start looking into modding but since then, two of the items on the list have gone "red" in the list (in CS2 Modding Options) and when I try to resolve them, it doesn't work - one of them was NET8 which I already had installed but CS2 for some reason doesn't recognize it. I've given up. I was really hoping CS2 would be easier to get started with modding than CS1, so I am very disappointed. And this is coming from a professional developer of 25+ years.
I am really hoping someone out there will look into creating the next gen Compass mod.

Quite amusing, nice to see the new tools in use. But Anarchy... I suspect that's why roads sometimes "jump" over trees, because the game engine is saying that the tree is sacrosanct (I had it before installing MoveIt so I doubt it's that), or the road is somehow trying to "snap" to the tree...
I think I need to add a Four Burning Palms billboard to your pack... "Relax, it's only fire!"
Oh, and question: why does everyone build totally enclosed hedge boxes around areas? Does everyone hate their gardeners? How are they supposed to tend to the stuff inside if they can't get in, through the scarily cloned bushes that all point in exactly the same manner (end-trigger).

Use the grid squares to make grid THEY ARE SQUARE also there is a 90-degree SNAPPING. Its really easy.

I absolutely despise the base game zoning blocks in this game. It's awful and really seems like they could have done better given their experience from having developed an entire city builder game previously. I feel like they tried to make it realistic but it seems to only cater to a really rural type zoning block layout when all of our assets in game are catering to a very dense type of zoning block. It's almost like they had different visions for gameplay in each different area of creating the game. Which makes sense but they could have expanded on that to allow many different types of zoning block layouts and density assets and made the zoning grids not so blocky, separated, and rural. I hate that if the roads aren't perfect grids that everything separates so much and we have to use so many work arounds to make it moderately realistic for anything other than rural.
CS2 looking better but the colours are still 'meh' to me? It's just a bit bland. I miss the vibrant colours.

I refuse to show this game love so that the modders can fix a broken game while the developers sit back, not do much, and start slamming us with paid DLC’s. Nah bro you did us REAL dirty and still haven’t done near enough to make up for it.
Thank you to all the modders trying your best to save the game but you’re giving the developers an out. You’re giving them a chance to sit idly by until enough time has passed that they can sweep this under the rug. It was unacceptable on every level what they did and is still unacceptable. I didn’t pay full price to the modders for this game I paid full price to a company that has yet to delivery me a full game.
Nothing ever gets done in these livestreams, they are just too slow.
Help me out please, my game crashes and doesnt load my mods, how do i reset the game 100%? I have tryed uninstalling the game but doesnt clear all game data
