This still sounds as haunting today as it did for me years ago. However, I do have a somewhat different perspective of the Beatlesesque production. I remember ELO getting major airplay but somehow they never appealed to me enough to own their music. I guess hearing their songs on the radio was enough and I believe that this one track overshadowed a lot of their other songs for me. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Peace
@@steelekeepinitreel4909 Exactly. Oddly, another one for me is The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. It just has a sad melodic feel to it. Now that I think about it, Prince's Lonely Christmas also has dark subject matter. The production is rather haunting as well.
