- We got the two strongest end game monsters of Rise and Sunbreak in a fight to see who is the TRUE end game KING!
Note:
- Both have equal HP
- All Monsters have lowered HP (keep fight length reasonable).
- All other stats are all based on default values provided by Capcom
- We also take no responsibility for any unusual A.I behaviour, as these are variables we cannot adjust.
- These fights are not to be taken seriously and are not based on Monster Hunter Lore, I simply make them for people to watch and enjoy.

Apex Zinogre did surprisingly well and he doesn't even have a MR version! I hope he gets added because out of all the apexes I think he's actually better in some ways compared to his deviant and is a fun fight! GG Crimson glow!

This fight here perfectly shows how each state between Apex and Risen has their advantages and disadvantages. Risen Monsters need to take a bit of Damage to enter their risen form, while Apex Monsters are always Apex. Tho, the Risen Monsters are far more Aggresive in terms of overwhelming power. Apex Monsters also seem to re-enter Rage state very quickly, like Apex Zinogre in this fight, while it takes Risen Monsters a good while to re-enter it. Only drawback to Apex Monsters in a Monster vs Monster combat is, that they enrage other Monsters when they enrage. A threeway fight between Afflicted, Risen and Apex would be great just to see how well they would do against each other and see their differences in combat.
Looking at these fights from a bird's-eye view makes me realize just how fast and chaotic they are. It seems like it would be a miracle that some of us are able to solo these monsters.

10:00 and 10:16 are so cool. Apex Zinogre did really well with a HR moveset.

HR? Dat shit worse than all iterations of zinogre ever invented including G rank. Hell no.
Technically it's the MR moveset as well, since all the MR Apexes are just the HR ones ported over with extra health and damage

2-The damage gap between them was massive!

Imagine a Apex Thunderlord stygian zinogre, the dracophage would be great dracophage (i know it's only in MH stories) to make it "thunderlord" since thunderlord zinogre uses great thunderbugs created from yamatsukami instead of regular thunderbugs, then frenzy virus from gore for the apex.

Seeing an apex makes me want to see the other monsters that have a Deviant species to appear in Rise
I think we all kinda knew Apex Zinogre wasn't winning this but man did it put up a damn good fight, even knocking out the Risen state WAAAAAY easier than I thought it would. It may have lost but it definitely wasn't embarrassed. Especially since Risen CG is a CHEATER as 15:22 shows.
btw I'm really glad that after the 3rd Risen transformation you let the Apex theme play a while longer, it just made Zinogre's short rampage on Valstrax feel even more satisfying. Sometimes it's best to just let the theme music rock instead of switching it every enrage.
@Im the Catman I agreed Risen CG Valstrax is pretty busted right now compared to most other monsters, so I can see why he's an obvious favourite in these fights. Though, I don't think it will be as straight forward once master rank apex zinogre is released.
As for the music, I am not there yet, but I am trying to put a little more effort into making the music matchup with the action on screen. Hopefully it will get better in time.

Im very surprised how far apex zin got to. Valstrax pretty much feels made for this types of monster fights. Long reach, high damage, and extra explotions and lasers everywhere, and when hit, he barely flinches. Despite of all of this, apex Zinogre may just be his match.
@Cosmic Man I agree with you on that, these two are very evenly matched and it will probabley be that way once master rank apex zinogre is released.

@@a1marine105 compared to certain monsters, rajang is a lil bitch. I don't want to be that guy, but to me there are other elder level more than capable to stand up against those power houses (like flaming espinas or raging brachy)

@Cyko Gamer couldn't agree more, both have some crazy combos and great counters to the wire bugs
When I watch these, I usually go with the one that has the superior area denial as my favourite. A principle that held true despite AZ's ferocity, speed and Thunder Blight. Although the last one was a bit underwhelming in this fight. Still curious how much higher its HP would be in the actual Master Rank fight, and if it would be enough.

Apex Zino really did it’s best against a RISEN monster, it knocked Crimson out of the air a couple of times and even confidently strutted up to it at one point! 😂 MR Zino might stand a chance but wow Risen Crimson is powerful 😅 Excellent work as always

It feels like in this fight, somehow the Valstrax was trying to use its wings as shields against the attacks the Zinogre sent out.
Edit: I just now noticed, but in some clips it looks like the Valstrax is also trying to crush the Zinogre or get above it.
Honestly, this is expected. Since Valstax has the same advantage as Bazelgeuse. But props for my boi for giving his all.

@Goji I hope they do to at least apex zino and apex diablos, those two were my faviourite of the apex. I never heard of exotic Zinogre, but it sounds dope.
Even with the ability to stagger val with every hit ziny still lost valstrax is truly incredible.

That aside, this next part is me calculating the winners DPS! The fight started at 0:35 and ended 16:52. Take the 35 initial seconds from the time, you get 16:17. Convert 16 minutes into seconds, and you get 960 seconds. Add the 17 seconds leftover for 977 seconds. Now we divide apex zinogre’s health by the time it took for valstrax to kill him. In other words, 34310 / 977 seconds.
All that math means valstrax’s constant DPS was 35.1177072671

A-Zinogre may win this with MR stats(he did topple his enemy more times but simply wasn't doing enough damage to win). Risen CG Vals def had the upper hand for most of his attacks have AoE, plus he is a combo spamming monstie with quite the long range for most of his attacks.
They actually nerfed risen val stats to make a fair match

I'm more inclined to believe that Narwa the Allmother would prevail against Risen CG Valstrax. Two reasons.
First, Risen CG Valstrax is weak to Thunder element, and nearly all of Narwa's attacks are capable of inflicting Thunderblight, so expect some knock downs from Thunderblight build up on Valstrax.
Second, based on her fight against Risen Teo, Narwa posses two moves that have guaranteed knock down effect to smaller monsters, which are the paw slam & tail slam attacks which she likes to spam in her last phase. So yeah, expect a lot of knock downs to Vasltrax when that fight happen.

Consider these tables turned, this fight definitely feels like a payback match considering the results of the first match they faced off in some months back.
Apex Zinogre’s constant aggression still does him justice vs MR-level monsters, that much is certain; Seems to be a potent trait that these Risen Elder Dragons are picking up from Apex monsters, much to Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax’s benefit especially.

Would *regular* Crimson Glow Valstrax be the endgame monster from base-game Rise?
techically, it wouldn't even be normal CG Valstrax. In MR, you fight one to gain access to MR tank 70-99. It would be Scorned magnamalo that would be the endgame, but with the title updates, they introduced the Risen monsters, which are now our endgame... Holy Fatalis this sounds so nerdy-
@LEGOMaster25 normal CG valstrax is an end game boss in base rise, but I always felt the apex were akin to arch-tempered, which were the end game of base world.

Thunderlord moveset
If dragonblight could be applied to monsters, what effect would you want it to have?
Knocking the monsters out of their element-state, for example with Zinogre or Lunagaron, or forbidding the use of elemental attacks during the duration of the dragonblight. A Rathalos wouldn‘t be able to shoot fireballs when afflicted with it and EDs would get knocked out of their elemental form, like the Elderseal in MH World.

Dragonblight seals of elemental attacks on a hunter, so I guess it would do the same to monsters that can be blighted
Elemental monster cannot inflict blight to other monster and deal slightly less dmg

@XxUriel 316xX I think normal Seething is a fair matchup from looking at their stats, Afflicted Seething has over 30K more HP than Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax; which I think is pretty unfair.

You sent Apex Zinogre into a suicidal mission? Not really effective against Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax to be honest.
@Bryan Cameron-Hutchings this was sort of a rematch a lot of people were asking for since high rank. But, yeah it is a mismatch for now until Apex zino returns in master rank, which should be in the next TU.
Sadly, the difference in damage they can do is simply visible. Zinogre did amazing against the (most likely) strongest in-game Monster right now. This just shows how they wasted Apex Monsters by not giving us any reason to keep fighting them, and not giving them a MR version. I don't think they changed even their damage or HP in the investigations. This was much closer than it have any right to be.

@@ken2guy I didn't mean it, sorry if that's what it sounds like. I just want the Apex to receive an upgraded moveset for master rank, and the lack of any armor or weapon give us very few reasons to fight them.
