Is it just me or is the HD quality from 2007 better than in 2014? This is an awesome road course, just a great layout and with a 3/4 mile front straight. I wish it was safe enough for MotoGP or World Superbike because motorcycle racing there would be incredible. I guess Formula 1 is supposed to be going back in 2015.
Man, the Havoline, Juicy fruit, and Holiday Inn schemes where some beautiful cars. And the Mexico inspired cars. Also would love to see a throwback to the Rockwell scheme.
I remember this race vividly, my father got tickets for the whole family and I fell in love with racing. I went to the Champ Car races in Mexico as well, but was definitely too young to pay attention. Beautiful memories and incredible how quickly time flies by.
@@TravisMSimpson You don’t lol. Don’t be so gullible. That may have happened once like 20 years ago. F1 loves Mexico and setting up a GP is way more complicated and a bigger security concern than a cup race and there have been zero issues.
1:27:32, idk why but it had me cracking up, you hear them switch to Jamie's radio and u hear a guy saying he's hailing a## right there and u can hear peatree and rusty crackin up
Pruett saw Montoya make the move and still came down. Montoya didn't move up at all. He was there. Should've won richmond in 2013. Probably the most underappreciated driver ever. He did a lot with some garbage ganassi equipment that Larson couldn't even win with for three more years.
That's unusual, I don't remember ESPN even showing an actual starting grid, they used the scrolling lineup from the first race they ever showed, and I don't know of another race where they did a real starting grid, never mind talk about it. FOX actually was the first to ditch the starting grid in 2004, but they brought it back in 2009
I have a question: Why the teams aren't in the garages When they went to circuits with garages (like Montreal) they always used to be outside of it (Same thing happens with IndyCar at COTA)
Because, historically, in American circuit racing (ovals and road courses alike) the garages have always been separated from the pit stalls, and when they go to European - style racetracks they want to keep it their way, sometimes because the pit stalls are assigned after qualifying.
At 6:42, it should be known that THIS IS THE WAY TO UNVEIL THE STARTING GRID! Call me old fashioned, but it aggravates the crap out of me that showing the starting grid has become such an after thought of the networks... Give everyone there 10 seconds, scrolling through the grid in hurry up mode just so we can talk to Jr or Danica has gotten WAY WAY TOO OLD!
Next year, NASCAR should race at Monaco to pay tribute to the late Ayrton Senna who was killed 20 years prior, who loved to race at Monaco. R.I.P Senna. LIKE or thumbs up if you agree.
I hope IndyCar to add back to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for Race 1 for 2023 Next Years since Champ Car 2007 and IMSA Racing to add back to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for Race 2 after 24 Hours of Daytona for 2023 Next Year since Grand-AM 2008.
In the spanish/latin coverage the commentators literally have been fangirling/drooling over Montoya and talking about his career through F3000, F1 and CART while he was leading. Understandable though, specially since he ended up winning

It was unfortunate it was dropped this year hopefully it makes it next year so we can drive it on the f1 video game which is very very realistic
And we’ve been racing there ever since
Nascar needs to go back to Mexico
Nascar needs more international races in the schedule.
NASCAR has the Euro series
But Amercia Nascar
They are

Man I wish all the 2007 race videos were this good of quality! Thanks for the upload!
1:14:08 You can hear Rusty sigh when Jerry announces Steven's penalty lol
NASCAR definitely needs to go back to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez but this time bring the cup series as well
Agree! Also CGV too!
@@benwalter4842 Nope. If you need to have a military convoy to get to the track, it is not worth going back too
There coming back

Looks like you got your wish
Great race, crazy how time flies. Very good quality as well, thank you for uploading!
Great race, NASCAR needs to go back to this track 🤩
8:53 Kesalowski back when Brad had c level equipment and the announcers didn't even know his name

yo aparezco en el 1:06:50 ... que buenos recuerdos
XD
2007 NASCAR in HD!
This is the race inwhich I created the nickname "Juan Pablo Mon-Stupid"... & that name still stick to this day!
Thanks for upload this amazing race.
This race should've aired on ABC too! :)
My college roommate and I called him "Juan Pablo A******" :P ...and then we went out and bought Juicy Fruit.
LOL
7:48 What did Quiroga do to his hair?!
Who’s here after the news about this track coming back in 2025
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS RACE ON ESPN2 IN STANDARD DEFINITION ONLY

The track has changed a lot
thank you for uploading

In 07 during certain Busch Races, the did the actual grid. They also did it in 08 occasionally too
nascarfan88ta Since my comment ESPN also did a real starting grid for their final Cup race at Homestead
They did one at Montreal in 2007 as well.

A young Brad K in this one.
The song at 0:13 is "Break On Through" by The Doors
I thought for the longest time that I was the only one who taped this race XD
Has Rusty ever pronounced Gilliland right?
18:11 Boogity boogity boogity Let's go to mexico boys!
AWESOME... now do 2008 (please) ytm
Well look at the bright side, he helped wake up NASCAR by destroying a jet dryer at the first ever Nighttona 500.
Juan definitely didn’t take Scott out on purpose but he was wayyyy too aggressive
Bring back Allen Bestwick and the Dr.

hey what year did kyle bush take out the Mexico drive want watch that
2006
Lol why should NASCAR pay tribute to senna? He raced and died in F1. F1 will be in Monaco next year like they have for the past 60 some odd years.
Only if they could’ve used the stadium section

For 2021 schedule ideas especially for road courses not for me not this track cause of the layout. Certain layouts for NASCAR don't work
I hope IndyCar to add back to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for Race 1 for 2023 Next Years since Champ Car 2007 and IMSA Racing to add back to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for Race 2 after 24 Hours of Daytona for 2023 Next Year since Grand-AM 2008.
JPM needs to lose some weight, he left a big dent in the roof!
race start 17:50
I vividly remember this race growing up. This was the race where i decided i hate Juan Pablo Montoya
46:46
Rusty Wallace tries too hard , his voice is like nails on a chalkboard
2:03:53
This is the most biased coverage of a race I have ever seen
Danica's first Xfinity race is worse. She had 20 minutes of coverage. 20 minutes! And she even wrecked out!
MrLawyer Snoots Was an ESPN normal practice.
Grand Yee 20 minutes?? I thought it was 20 hours lol

The absolute WORST era of broadcasting in nascar.
