If you just search the year and race in UA-cam you'll find the full race. I watched s bunch of 98-99 races. It's when I first got into NASCAR. I just skip the tracks I thought was boring lol
Most of the races are available from many seasons, but it's hard to find complete seasons, and full/top quality versions. I do believe that NASCAR and NASCAR Classics would have a market for making every race(available that was broadcast) from every season. I've watched more races on UA-cam through Classics and other users than I have live races this year. Mostly because there's only one live race per week and I have to listen to most because of my work schedule. Either way. Love seeing these classics in full form.
This race was 24 years ago on this date. It is still haunting that this was Dale Earnhardt's 2nd last win. Until getting a win at Talladega late that year in October. That was Dale Earnhardt's last and final victory. It was his 76th win. RIP Dale Earnhardt you will never be forgotten.🙏 😢
Man… Skinner leading 191 laps and blowing an engine is horrid. Dude was such a great truck series racer, I can’t believe how badly he got teased in the cup series. And Earnhardt finishing 2nd in points that year and coming out strong at Daytona… makes me think he had a real shot at a championship in 2001. Just one more da** turn…
Most of them loved jr, because of senior, and a good portion of sr fans didnt become jr fans when he died, said he wouldnt live up to his daddy. Thats how big dale sr was.
Senior was the most popular driver for most of his career by a decent amount, but he didn't overshadow everyone else to quite the degree Junior did in the second half of his career, mostly because NASCAR was more popular in general and they did a better job marketing everyone instead of focusing on a couple "stars".
@@DixietheGoat9 The spring race he and Stewart had by far the two best cars and topped the practice charts, but he was in an accident. Fall race was his only average finish.

yea, either way the 18 would have had something to say about the finish, but skinner did have a great car though. Labonte still was better on the log run
Im not kidding the 2nd Gen 4 cars in my opinion were the greatest stock cars i ever seen just how spoilers looked different it was easy to point out which was a Chevy, Dodge, Ford and a Pontiac and those Pontiacs were my favorite kind of this version of the gen 4
I’d love to see if NASCAR could release the entire 2000 Cup Series

@@stevorules1820 98 racing was so beautiful! I think there was 50 lead changes in the daytona that year Dale won

I love the Nascar Classics idea!!!! I would love a Nascar Classics type of video game too where you can relive some of the best moments of nascar!
Amazing idea but execution is hard because of sponsors and the whole nine yards.
Better racing, better paint schemes, better broadcast, no stages, great sound. My God we had it made. Also before they ruined Atlanta....a 2nd time
Man I wish I could rewind time. I was 4 years old and remember watching this race live. Probably my earliest memory of nascar.
After seeing the ad for the IROC race throughout the video I really want to watch that race now lol.

2:40:51 quite possibly the best interview by driver falling out of a race by Mike Skinner.
Reminds me of Jrs interview "Pow and then it went into the wall"
Thanksgiving 2024 watching before dinner.

I wasnt able to watch him, but it makes me wonder if people loved Dale Earnhardt Sr as much as they loved Jr over the years.

Not taking anything at all from junior, but as big as Jr is, that's how huge big E was in comparison
@@bduddy55555Actually it was Bill Elliot not Earnhardt
Elliot won the MPD vote every year because Earnhardt took himself out. @@DixietheGoat9
Labonte was on fire here…

Tbh he would’ve won both if his engine didn’t let go in March.
What about 2002?

👍
Labonte had the fastest car that day but Dale proved it doesnt matter if its that fastest car that wins, its the one that refuses to lose.
Anyone else notice the outro music sounded like Marilyn Manson's 'beautiful people' ?😊
Dale won the race. Bobby won the war.
One of the biggest heartbreaks in nascar history. Skinner was the class of the field that day.

What a race!
Never liked the restriction from the engine do you have stage always think about not having a stage

Jr had so much speed early on at these 1.5 mile tracks to bad he clipped the wall maybe its a sr and jr photo finish
He won his first Busch Race at Texas, Ironicaly and Won Texas again later after this race
Props for 4:3 presentation but 30 fps is a miss.

And 1 year later Earnhardt was up in heaven pushing harvick to do the same
