My upgrades to this deck involved "army in a can" type stuff like Whirler Rouge and Captain of the Guard, and the other half of the upgrade being populate cards like rootborn defenses and determined iteration
Played against that deck twice last night. First round it got big and scary fast, second round it did nothing. Personally I think it needs to gain more focus one way or the other, would love to see the go wide build. Keep up the great first impressions videos!!!!
100% a bird tribal go wide face commander Ojutai, Nesting Dovehawk, Aerial Extortionist, Wingmate Roc, ledger shredder, Mockingbird, Aven Interrupter, Empyrean Eagle. the list goes on, and having copies of these would be incredible, not to mention the curiosity crafter the deck comes with and the murmuration.
correct me if im wrong, but Nesting Dovehawk should also help Combat Celebrant go infinite combat steps yea? if so, easy include in an upgrade if not already there
As someone that was given this precon for free and played it amongst a group of friends who had the other decks, the deck was....fine. Not awful but not worth the glowing praise that was lavished on it. Upgrades I did were far outside the scope of $35 (by an entire order of magnitude because I have those cards on hand) but it feels so nice now. Skyhunter Strike Force, Cloud Key and Kitesail Larcenist are among the cards added - a vicious anthem on attack, anthem reduction and damn solid removal.
Helm of the host DEFINITELY should have been in the golgari token copy deck Combat celebrant and helm of the host also go infinite so you have to play against the deck like a combo deck when you see one
Finally someone said it. Out of the box, this deck is awful. Zinnia is the strongest cmd of the precons but this deck is not it. I canceled my pre order and I'm building the deck with singles. It was just not worth it to buy the precon and use the lands and like 10 cards. Use all burn effects like impact tremors and just go wide without attacking.
Well, time to see how many Drake jokes will be here in the comment section... cause this deck name and "make offspring" bit sure hint towards them. Certified precon deck? Certified reprint pile. I had fun playing it out of the box, even got to swing with 2 devilish valets at 256 power at one point lol
I had 2 devils at 2084 thanks to offspringing seige gang commander with panharmonicon, 12 triggers for the devils
Enjoying this, especially the look at the new cards. Agate Instigator in a Purphoros, God of the Forge deck is ++
played Family Matters twice and love it! it's screaming for an upgrade so would u please do the honors soon?

Interesting options here. Artifact is a choice, as you can lower their coats quite easy. But you struggle to close games.
