    Wonderful music. Just goes to show how much potential there is for creativity to reflect God in all his attributes.

    Amazing! Thank you so much for this wonderful gift. That was so refreshing, with the KJV text as well, truly enjoyed that. Like night and day compared to the awful, horrendous false teachings and praise of Hillsong and Bethel music. Do not be deceived people by their music. Blessings of our heavenly Father Yahuwah El Shaddai to you all 💛🤲💛

    DAVID! I happened to come across this video and remembered you from Marshall Community Theatre in 1988 (Fiddler on the Roof). Also UW-Madison. Glad to see you and hear your voice again. I love your Psalm setting. Sounds a bit like Fiddler. :)

    Great way to know Psalm 1. It's also pretty catchy on it's own.

    I love your musical setting to this psalm and yes it is only right to have it in the middle eastern mode the way King David may have composed it on his lyre thousands of years ago. You may have channeled it. I've listened to other musical versions and liked yours the best. I am Greek Orthodox and may translate it into Greek to sing in my church. Thank you.

    Perhaps Psalm 1 comes back later in the book as well....
    Psalm 1 has come back to the last book of the Psalms in grander form of Psalm 119
    expansive and dancing
    A troika of dance Psalm 119 with Psalm 117 around Psalm 118
    This is the day that the Lord has made;
    let us rejoice and be glad in it.
    Dancing around the cornerstone, chief yet rejected
    Ps 117 joins hands with Ps 119
    Shortest with longest singing around another
    Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    for his steadfast love endures forever!
    “The right hand of the Lord does valiantly,
    the right hand of the Lord exalts,
    the right hand of the Lord does valiantly!”
    I thank you that you have answered me
    and have become my salvation.
    The stone that the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone.
    This is the Lord's doing;
    it is marvelous in our eyes.
    This is the day that the Lord has made;
    let us rejoice and be glad in it.
    Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    for his steadfast love endures forever!
    the cornerstone of the house of Psalms
    and the stone the builders rejected in Ps 118

    Very good- and yes- it does sound middle-eastern...
    I think we'll continue to use the one in the "Cantus", but this one is really cool.

    I always wondered what the Psalms might have sounded like put to music. I wonder if this is the original way it was performed by King David? Simply beautiful!

    An SATB arrangement would be wonderful, as another listener commented. Perhaps singing it in Hebrew would also serve it well.

    Ok, so let's lose the equal temperament piano. Sitar or some other droning instrument.
