Loved this conversation. Your passion and description of your lived experience with what you speak of was moving. THIS is what I have been "asking for" regarding making those essential lifestyle changes THANK YOU, Dr Chatterjee. Thank you.🙏
It is never “annoying “ that you bring up the 12 steps . I think most of your audience would agree with me. Personally I am in recovery and I hear so often people describing what we already work so hard on and put to practice. We made the change we required to live. Thank you for always supporting us and thank you for your service.
True. 12 steps is promotion of the fact that improvement is a process. Like that woman that started eating 30 vegetables in a day... No wonder it hurt and she quit. Eat 1, then 2, then 5... when that 's ok, add, more. You're at 30 in a couple months. People want to solve problems instantly and that is typical American "one pill or I can't do it" thinking. Enjoy the process!
I came here to post exactly the same comment. Even non addicts would benefit from the 12 steps. It's a beautiful program and an incredible tool for personal growth ❤
@DrChatterjeeRangan As much as I loved episode & have you both as favourites on my podcast app, it was disappointing that Dr Rangan once again doesn't give room for a conversation. He spoke continuously & when you, Rich, tried to talk he basically talked over the top of you! I understand passion but this was supposed to be a conversation not a one way book sell. I have heard this with Dr Rangan many times. What he has to say is always interesting but he needs to realise what a conversation is. Please listen back to this Dr Rangan & hear yourself. Thank you for your patience Rich & realising when Dr Rangan asked what is your opinion about this or that there was no point in responding as he never let you respond. Hopefully we can all learn from this & realise our conversations need to be two way when others are involved. Listening and responding makes good communication. Thank you Rich, always worth listening to you. ❤
You are right on target with your observations! Dr. Chatterjee is so relentless in his speaking that it almost seems like he never takes a breath. He certainly doesn't give Rich an opportunity to respond. It would be wonderful if Dr. Chatterjee listened back to this episode and learned something from it. His message is worth hearing and could be better absorbed with a more relaxed delivery. Thank you for your astute observations!
I actually felt the complete opposite! I felt like Rich kept interjecting and speaking over the guest - to the point where I felt like he was purposely misconstruing what was said so that he could jut in with an obvious ‘oh but that’s not applicable in 100% of cases’ etc. I just wanted him to let the guest speak
@amyleefox2184 maybe you need to go back & listen again. Rich had to butt in or he would not have said anything the whole interview. He had to talk over Dr Rangan as Dr Rangan was talking over him. Listening is obviously becoming a lost art.
Dr. R is correct - even if the Ice Cream is not in the house, when the need comes, I would just substitute whatever else is there. But if I came to understand the underlying feeling that creates the need, it could be eliminated without having to worry if someone brings Ice Cream into the house.
Yep. Here we have Door Dash which delivers from one of the best Ice Cream purveyors !! yikes. This one is the thing for me, so funny - and fun - that you used this example ;-)
Briliant conversation. This type of information is why i kewp retirning to the Rich Rill podcast and Ranjan Chatterjee's as well. We mostly have the information we need. We now need to praxtice hwo to chamge our behaviors. Just brilliamt. Thank you.
Hii Rich Roll I am from India and your video was recommended by someone I have learned so much from your videos .Thank you so much for your effort to bring these kind of contents!
Thank you so much to both of you as yep… I appreciate men who are confident, healthy, smart and practical in actuality changing life for the better a few minutes and moments of reflection of who we all can be… I’ve changed my life slowly over many years just as you both have said in this wonderful empowering… truthful 5 minute changes that do indeed change me life for the better… every day… ❤
I agree with Dr. Chatterjee's theory that we have to get to the root cause. I know I stay stressed and this makes behavioor change difficult. I over react to stress because I have low level anxiety. I will try this breathing technique. This alk started when I got Lyme Disease. I dont know if it's the disease itself or fear of the limitations it can cause.
I just would like to comment how i have intriduced many changes in my life 1 taking very small steps b) becoming excited about the change c) saying ok to a certain level of discomfort d) leading a minimalist lifestyle, it helps to ficus on the changes e) surrounding myself with likewise people, people who appreciate heathy lifestyle f) stop seeking approval from everybody around me
what a great episode and what a shame that Rich just broke the whole thing by ending it when the doc was just GOING! 😩🙏 Right there where the doc rolled out so much good stuff RR comes and says "jip. great way to end it." What a shame 🤦♂️
I like that Rich commented on the lady who struggled with 30 plants , it takes time indeed 🙂 Otherwise it's a good episode, Dr R Ch was my first experience with podcasts many years ago, but isn't his book just a copy of what James Clear have written in Atomic Habits just with more health context?
Breath work ❤worked for me ❤ Don't die ❤!The Eagles Hunt ❤! Eyes mind heart and soul wide open ❤NO FEAR ❤! Who are we " Really " ? Take YOUR power back ❤! Breath my brothers Breath DEEP ❤ !
He hit the nail on the head ! ❤. Intentional DIS- COMFORT ,reWires our brains and neurological systems ❤. Don't die ❤😂❤❤Decentralization ❤! Live like a LION and eat llike a SHARK 😂
Learn to EMBRACE the SUCK and LOVE IT ❤! It WILL change your existence ❤😂! You are much more POWERFUL than you think ❤😂! You have always had "THE POWER !"
The man who played 18 holes of golf , in his mind , while living in solitary confiment in Federal maximum prison! ! ! Your thoughts create your reality 😂❤!
Great informative podcast, I am new to breath work and I could not make out the name of the breath work individual that you spoke about, can you spell it, Thank you
While there is a lot of good info here why do so many presentors come across with the energy of an infomercial??? And act like whatever is new info to them? Probably doesn't help that my default setting is 1.5... speed. But the sales energy makes it a chore to listen
The advice to not have ice cream or major food temptations in the house is not very useful for people who’s spouse doesn’t want to give up their treats. It’s not feasible to ban certain foods when you don’t live alone
Until we fix the industrial Agricultural Chemical Complex and STOP poisoning ourselves and the atmosphere, there will be no hope for the health of our spices ❤. Sixth extinction, hold on tight . Its a WILD BY DESIGENED ride ! 😢$$$$$$$❤❤❤Decentralization ❤maybe our spices only hope ❤
I love this show normally but there was no real connection here. It was basically a monologue by the good Dr. Very difficult for Rich to have any input when the guest is desperate to talk over the top of you. It's a rarity on this show as Rich is a great host.
I wasn't expecting such a high level of salesman vibe in this "conversation". I have been a huge fan of the RRP since the beginning....and have listened to and appreciated Dr Chatterjee's podcast many times as well but this one left an odd taste in my mouth.
Every “expert” is saying the same things, it’s repetitive not only between experts but across different platforms. People do not take ownership of their life and health and the experts are monetising on ignorance, low self believe and your inability to master your own life. 27:49 in and I learned absolutely nothing from the monologue.
To change is to give up all the bs you know deep down is bs. Success shouldn’t equate to financial gain because it’s obviously ruined the world and peoples reason for being here.
Fascinating podcast but not really a conversation. I am a very long term listener to both this podcast and FBLM. I terms of content - there were almost no questions from Rich, not sure he could really get a word in. Rangan was on transmit for the whole episode which was such a shame as I always find Rich’s questions draw out something different, deep and unexpected. After a while it just got a bit boring… sorry. I always try to be positive but just struggled a bit with the monologue. Best listened to in chunks I think… still love you both though…
I have to agree with this. Also, to be frank, most of the suggestions/teachings I've heard before and the few times when Rich added his persepective, those were the most interesting points being made. I was poised to buy the book before this interview...
Absolutely nothing new here. Just because somebody talks in a British accent doesn't make it any more profound. Be very careful how you spend your time guys

Thanks so much for having me on your podcast @richroll - I loved our conversation together!
So thankful for the timing of this gem of an episode.
@@drmhynesDelighted you found it helpful 🙏🏾
Can you recommend or provide a link to the breath work? Not easy to find anything on UA-cam. Interested to add that to my 2025 NY resolution 😁
Loved this conversation. Your passion and description of your lived experience with what you speak of was moving. THIS is what I have been "asking for" regarding making those essential lifestyle changes THANK YOU, Dr Chatterjee. Thank you.🙏
@@williammanley2160 Hi, I was looking for that information as well, I could not make it out on the podcast

I like the idea they ralked about not having or even needing motivation to change. Making rules for yourself.
@DrChatterjeeRangan As much as I loved episode & have you both as favourites on my podcast app, it was disappointing that Dr Rangan once again doesn't give room for a conversation. How many times did he call rich rich? Wowza. Also I have no idea how people can talk nonstop like this man can .
I hear that, had to take breaks to listen to the whole podcast. It became exhausting. Good info, but manic delivery.
All true. Though I see it as a product of how passionate he is about it as it was a game changer for him. Over all very helpful.
Dont bite OFF more than you can chew ❤! YOU WILL CHOAK!

SMALL PLAN for each effort to obtain Change.
