Thanks so much for having me on your podcast @jayshettypodcast - I throughly enjoyed our conversation together. And, I hope your audience find the ideas we discussed in this episode from my new book 'Make Change That Lasts' helpful in their lives!
@@DrChatterjeeRangan I enjoyed it soo much!!! It was a pleasure to listen and take notes! It’s a dream of mine to be on Jay Shettys podcast! Actually speaking on the similar topic of mental and physical health. Along with the breakdown of who is the who are you listening too! I’m going to purchase your book! Congratulations for a remarkable achievement!
This conversion has been more of a reminder of things I know that I didn't know I know. Language given to things I already know. Am grateful for this conversation.
2024 has been one of the hardest years of my life, I also feel I’m finally on the right journey of growth and I plan to buy your book. Thank you both for your kindness and knowledge. Much Love.
To me it seems like Rangan has been a pretty successful medical doctor of many years. What a brave person he is to take a deeper look into his profession in his pursuit of the truth. Tonight, I used this podcast whilst I was marking my GCSE coursework. I played it in the background with the intention of hearing Rangan's voice that has always had a soothing effect on me when I needed to concentrate. Not surprisingly, the chat was so inspiring, I had to tune in properly!
HEALTH being my main theme for 2025.. I absolutely appreciate this episode!! It's really all about having sustainable and making consistent healthy changes in our lives 💟
Wow. Of all the interviews I've been listening to over the past several weeks this has resonated with me the most. Thanks for this!! Off I go to get the book!!
I absolutely love this episode. It’s such a light hearted eye opening theme. Where we need to be more compassionate, approach inward and self heal . When we upgrade our personal understanding life becomes beautiful ❤thankyou
I have been on this journey myself for many years now negative harsh inner self and I can see I'm making progress, but the people I'm close with we see things in different lenses, and based on experience people just can change Jay it's like what Dr. Rangan said it's what they've become and changing that means changing who they are or changing a part or piece of themselves... unless they are willing to...and I would give up changing them because I wouldn't want to be addicted fixing others. This is good community Jay, people who are open and have the volition to change.
Loved this interview. Glad this compassion approach. And placing the power and awareness into people’s hands. I know people change when they want to. For whom or what they want to. I’ve been saying this for years. Glad he’s breaking it further down because a lot of people looking for a fast fix or they are hearing what they want to hear. The power is within them. Love loved this interview.
I adore you both! Two of my favorite voices on one podcast! Indeed, the holidays have arrived in Los Angeles! As I am in the midst of figuring out, if I have a food allergy, I am keeping a food, journal, taking notes, and really listening to my body. I truly appreciate both of you wise and compassionate souls for sharing your stories with us so openly. Love to you both. Happy new year! Kieren.
Thanks for keeping us updated! I feel sympathy and empathy for our country. low income people are suffering to survive, and I appreciate Victoria Anne Leonard. You've helped my family with your advice. imagine investing $30,000 and receiving $95,460 after 28 days of trading.
I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice I've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.
Thank you so much Jennifer, I’m so glad I came across your channel. I am interested in the real estate collaborations! This year my financial goal must be accomplished
So true, most of us keeps on questioning our abilities… and feeling like a failure 🫤 but one needs to have believe in their self ability and energy behind that behavioural cycle
This is such a brilliant and meaningful discussion and frame. I'm so encouraged from this conversation. I love the idea of operating from love and not fear and trusting myself... compassion and nonjudgment.
I really enjoyed this episode, Jay. Will definitely buy the book. Thank you for your work and for always bringing people who have great insights about life.
Love this episode!! Thank you Jay and Dr Rangan, so many things are aligned with my experience and resonate with me, thank you for reinforcing those great things!
Really interesting podcast. I’ve shared with multiple people which I never do and I’ve pre-ordered the book which I also never do. I also think social media has caused many of us to become more reliant on external validation. I don’t just mean the whole like culture but the chat groups where people ask if they are right or for advice before taking a step. Thanks again for the great show.
Wonderful episode. Accountability and personal responsibility are key to improving one’s health. The wisdom of Black and Indigenous feminists complements this. Talking about lasting change and finding greater humanity within, especially in a society founded on and organized by the dehumanization-genocide, land dispossession, slavery, patriarchy, homophobia-must necessarily include addressing the impacts of systemic racism and oppression with respect to the social determinants of health. If we’re truly coming from the heart, we need to expand our hearts’ desires to include good health and lasting change for the most vulnerable and disenfranchised in our communities and society. Bless. 🙏🏾
1. Listen to your body - Pay attention to what your body needs and how it feels. 2. Avoid information overload - Don’t let too much advice overwhelm you. Focus on what truly matters. 3. Understand your habits - Before changing a habit, figure out why you do it. 4. Create small daily rituals - Small, consistent actions can lead to big, long-lasting changes. 5. Learn to say no - Set boundaries to protect your time and energy.
Morning Questions •What is one thing I deeply appreciate about my life? •What quality would I like to showcase to the world today? - What would it look like today to show this quality? Evening questions •What went well today? •What can I do differently tomorrow?

Dr. Rangan Chatterjee’s approach is truly transformative! Blending Western medicine with Eastern wisdom, he offers practical tools that make habits stick and challenges traditional ideas about willpower. I love how he emphasizes self-compassion over harsh discipline - such a refreshing perspective on lasting change! ❤️

What opportunities are there in the market, and how do I profit from it?
You can make a lot of money from the market regardless of whether it strengthens or crashes. The key is to be well positioned.
I would really like to know how this actually works.
All you need is a good capital and the
service of a professional broker, with those your investment will most certainly produce high yields.
Thank you so much Jennifer, I’m so glad I came across your channel. I am interested in the real estate collaborations! This year my financial goal must be accomplished
the concept about the three F's is so good thank you

Long term behavior change
The energy behind the behavior
Is it love
Is it fear!?
Such sweet narratives for responding to emotional triggers while driving. Mines always “maybe they have diarrhea and need to get home asap” 🙂
Mine is typically " get out of my way!!!!". 😂
Love from India( Assam) bhaai🙏❤
Don’t make pressure for changes! Be personable explain the situation.
It will make them feel they have a choice.

Behavior change is hard because of the way we see ourselves
It’s not who you are! It’s who you’ve become.

Internal struggle!
Feeling. Is it physical or emotional.
Feed: how does food feed that feeling
Find: an alternative behavior to feed that feeling

You can’t change something you hate
Pay attention
Don’t bring something in the environment you stay in that tempts you. It will be more tempting
Love how both these guys try so hard to not have an Indian accent..too funny
Your statement is more funnier cause expecting every Indian irrespective of any NSEW to have the same accent is ridiculous
Figure out what works for you.
Never give unsolicited advice
ur not a monk..
Wonderful interview. Thank you so much 🙏✨
Thank you for watching!!!
