The craftable “Blessed” void gauntlet is pretty nice too. Instead of life stealing. Or at least when I tested it, it made the health return a bit higher.
Such a good video. The void gauntlet is really UNDER documented so i appreciate the in-depth guide to your build. Alot of people skip the gem perks and spend the whole video reading the abilities description. You spent a good time reading but you added visuals of the math that goes behind it to make it easier to understand.
The void Gauntlet is def under documented! I jumped on it the day it came out and have spent days to find the best build for wars and open world pvp. I am super happy with it. Such a great class.
I run 200int, 150foc and 82con and my VG hits for 1200 base. So does my Life Staff. I heal for 740 with sacred ground ticks. I run voracious blade on my chestpiece. But yeah, you're forgetting all your focus which is 30% of your damage.
I think I’ve gotten better results with keen and keen awareness on jewlary. I did something similar to this. I’m running 200 int 140 foc(150 with food) and 100 con. The 20 mana from a dodge helps a lot. I’m trying to burn mana so I use orb, devine light and sacred ground.
@@iLangston thanks lol only thing is I forced Int on it with a charm. It’s not the worst thing ever but I’ve wanted to put everything into focus as a healer but right now I can’t help but play hybrid with 200 in because of the +20 mana from a dodge. I just keep getting low score boards on wars and I’m ripped between going full dps or full healer.
@@anthonyminson well I personally think scoreboards are for the ego, not the win. If you drop the 200 int, just be prepared to use pots/mana regen food more. Outside of that, there are a couple perks in the vg tree for mana regen.
Have you done any testing to find out if having keen on your ring and your void gauntlet would generate more health return than having lifestealing and leeching?? Also, would be really nice if you had keen & leeching on your ring, and keen & lifestealing on your void gauntlet. Then you get the best of both worlds right?
Great question. Keen inherently increases damage through higher critical chance so you would see more health returned as well. Both perks would be ideal.
I really want to try it. I just wonder how you can stick to someone in PvP without scream. Do you think the rupture is a must have ? What about some focus for better heals and damage since the healing only skill on focus which mean void caller and the third perk of void blade don't heal much in this build version. Otherwise are you running medium most of the time or you switch heavy ?
I run a similar build with light armor rather than med, but with void blades reach it’s fairly easy for me to just roll, hvy, roll, hvy and it gives me enough time to stay on them and regain stamina
@@luckydony6375 it's 6 of one, half a dozen of another really. Either you're lifestealing to mitigate the damage taken or you're stunning to mitigate it. I've been testing the scream a bit on stream and love how any aspects of the fight it changes.
Refreshing move on void gauntlet is awesome, cooldown reduction on light and heavy attacks. If you hit 2 with your void blade, it counts as 2 hits. The good thing about going a bit in dex is that you can find some AMAZING gear cheap sometimes because "who wants a magic weapon with 30 dex? right?" I might go with putrefying scream instead of oblivion here. With the perk that reduces healing done on enemies AND the great cone root; it makes sure hitting essence rupture is guaranteed. This is in theory though, i also thought about making lifedrain build. Annoying part is no grit so if you get juggled around you won't do much lifedraining. Oblivion is great too though, really hard to pick.
Love the thoughts here! I have gone back and forth on Oblivion as well and I'll say this. I keep landing on the thought that Oblivion also acts as an unconscious deterrence to most melee players. If you are looking to min max your effectiveness in battle, this ability ads a layer of doubt to their though process because they don't know what it'll do to them if they step in it. I use it as a gap creator sometimes.
sup man, i like to theorycraft and you seemed interested in a lifedraining build that doesnt get pushed around. 300STR 150CON sword and shield+void gauntlet. scream for 50% healing reduction perk and root to easily land rupture, rupture for the lifesteal(it stays even when u swap to sword and shield), then nullyfying oblivion for the massive debuff removal and empower buff, 0 int 0 focus, purely used for support, then the reason for sword and shield is cuz you can stack perks on it. you can do enchanted+lifesteal+keen on the sword, and do enchanted+lifesteal+keen on the shield for example, they do stack, and with 300 str you have grit on everything. 2x lifesteal+leeching on ring+rupture lifesteal, etc, could also be rly good same attributes but with Hatchet or other melees. i like SNS cuz both oblivion and rupture give you unlimited stamina for blocking entire teams lol its kinda funny. people think Sword and shield is WEAK dmg but they dont realise you can stack perks, you could litteraly have rogue+vicious on both at same time, land a shield bash and then go behind and oneshot someone with a heavy
@@denkiee2336 you can attempt to buy them on the TP. Honestly, I love the lifestaff combo but I'd recommend going int/focus. Do like 200int/150focus and the rest Con if you can

This is far from perfected. The VG scales with int over focus for damage so I would roll int over focus despite the healing buff at 150 focus. Medium armour gives you the same buff without going too squishy however heavy will make you take less damage in the first place. This is player preference but I would roll medium. After that the VG perks are all wrong, you dont want any CD reduction as you get a damage buff when all your abilities are on CD and any more cd reduction than you passively get makes mana management a nightmare. The VG damage and healing will scale best with keen and vicious as you heal for a % of crit damage, in PvE you dont need keen as you can backstab efficiently. Keenly fortified is a good shout for extra defenses which is one of the better keen buffs for VG. You can run full empower cap almost constantly with oblivion tether and the proximity empower passive. I normally run this as 250 int and 200 con and a fire staff for PvE, burst fire staff then switch and slap with VG. Ice gauntlet works best in PvP for zoning CC and burst.
