Sorry Hatchet enjoyers, I somehow managed to leave Hatchet out of this video despite it being in my notes etc! I do believe the "Taiyi" Hatchet to have 2 solid perks: nwdb.info/db/item/1hthrowingaxe_taiyi this can be farmed at the same spot with the other Taiyi items (North Ebonscale location). If you're not a fan of Rogue, or are playing solo and can't get backstabs, the "Sporelight" Hatchet is also a good pickup: nwdb.info/db/item/1hthrowingaxe_sporelight Vanash and other named enemies in the Elysian Wilds can drop Sporelight Items!
I recommend, as a healer, to completely avoid Regenerating as a perk on your earring. It develops passive threat and pulls will be a nightmare if your healer has Regenerating in something like a dodge DoT mutation, mobs will instantly turn to you.
nimble is a decent third perk too for an earring imo. if anyone's intrested my current earring is healthy+refreshing toast and nimble it was a free craft with laza materia "heavy earring" is the name, has healthy toast and nimble third perk has 40% chance to be refreshing toast on craft with materia.
@@reimu420 This is what I have and you can also get this 700gs very quickly via a soul shroud earring (which has Nimble and refreshing toast, obtained quite commonly from Shattered Mountain mobs and chests), upgraded at the gypsum kiln. In fact that's my first 700gs craft and now sits in all of my gear sets. Slot done, I think 😊My main reason for using healthy toast is one of my PVP builds will be using Ankh and mana potion heals via this perk count as incoming heals, not potion heals. And for PVE, it serves just fine as a small bonus (mainly play a healer and so definitely don't want regenerating, as suggested by the OP above). I know Baggins didn't rate Nimble but that 10% regeneration just means you're full stamina again faster than someone who doesn't use it. It could mean the different between survival or death. Pretty much in the same way that Hearty does.
Great Vid! btw.. for Syncretic, it's easier to farm in that first landmark (Digsite Calamitous) Northwest of the Settlement (New Corsica City). There are 4 named Mobs in there that you can rotate through, depending on how fast u kill them, they spawn after 1-2 minutes or less after finishing the rotation. Great thing about it is it's easier to Solo :D

When it comes to tanking, Odo is the only valid artifact weapon you can ise for the role. Because of this you would have to decide if you wanna find a good sword (def better) or a war hammer as your secondary. There isnt really to much of a reason not to use ODO esp since you get Refreshing Move, Lifesteal, and Health on Block. Put Hatred, Thwarting Strikes, Enchanted, Mortal Fort, or Mortal Lifesteal as the added perk and its gonna be pretty hard to beat. Making any other flail almost lacking. Outside of tanking, follow the video. I only tank so no clue what else youd want a flail for.
Yes that is a good combo. If you take blood drinker ring instead of an amulet artifact, it would be good as you would have hella sustain but just make sure you have ur taunt gems as because of BD -% damage you have trouble keeping threat. Michael is good however shields are considered armor now so you have to opt for shield or armor artifact. If you manage to get it when M1 Black Powder comes around, I think Void Dark plate Chest is better as a regular shield with 3 perks can almost match Michael in utility.

@BagginsTV I'm currently looking at building tank gear for pve and wanted to know in which instances does elemental aversion actually reduce my damage taken so i can compare it against other perks and make an informed decision, my googling is either bad or the information isn't clear - most of what i can find is pvp ranged damage and abilities but not a clear demonstration of say, the damage from the savage divide boss for example that have lots of elemental elements
Amazing video, love the content so far! The tank videos also helped me a lot. I have one question, hope it isn't too big of a question. With the Flail + Flail abilities, there doesn't seem to be anything Threat related. I know the Sword/Shield weapon has a perk to get aggro, but it doesn't seem to be the same for the Flail. I seem to have troubles aggroing mobs in dungeons with my Flail/Shield. Are there any things I might be missing for this? I suppose just like in other MMO's I need to get aggro/threat in order to be a decent tank ;) Hope you can help me out!
You want to look at the abilities in the flail tree, at the bottom it will say something along the lines of "this ability is a taunt". Make sure you have a carnelian in your flail and these abilities will taunt, exactly the same as sword and shield.
man im so torn between what i wanna stick to. I love supporting, but tanking feels pretty good in this game too, Odo feels like it's wasted going healer though because you don't stun with it and feel warhammer/odo would be the best. I'm so conflicted what do i wanna doooo. Cause Lifedrinker feels like a great VG for healing.

You have to choose between Elemental Aversion OR Enchanted Ward, you cannot have both. Health does not "compete" with any other perk slot on your gear. I know it's expensive but there's a reason why; it's a VERY good perk!

It is not 'overhyped' people just don't understand how situational some of the other protection based perks are and how they change with so many variables. Really good video. Even tho i'm not a main New World player , i did play when it came out and i played the expansion so far. I had a lvl 60 character and one of the big downsides for me as a returning player was for sure the server situation. I did play World of Warcraft for a lot of years and i know how the economy goes and what not but , what really makes me to not stick to the game longterm ( and i do have a character around 691 ilvl , since its pretty easy to gear with some of the free materia and some M1's and chest runs ) is the fact of how everything is so expensive to catch up. Appart from the gathering professions , probably my highest crafting prof is 150 and i'm sitting around 35k gold. Theres no way i could sustain myself to even have one 700 piece crafted by myself, let alone all those optimizations people require and do with gems for mutations. Certainly the game got much better and i think it's on the right track but it still feels like a job and it requires way too much time and investment for the amount of content it provides.
Can someone tell me what is better on Life Staff: refreshing move or Puryfying Breeze? I play with the "Clap" on Armor. So cooldown reduction or weapon heals with the breeze?
I came back to the game and started a new char with friends ... since i dont have access to the perks atm myself i am kind of confused that u recommend sacred ground on healing stuff. i stopped playing a while ago but i think i remember that this was is a dynamic calculation. so if u place down ur sacred ground with the perk on ur weapon it is applied. but if u swap to ur secon, the perk isnt on the ticks of the sacred ground any longer. Therefore i was grinding for some other lifestuff with mending protection for quite some time. Since the effect is only applied on cast. Did they change this? Do u know what i am talking about?

for tanking I Use Sword and flail and I recommend the kite shield since it has refreshing defense and refreshing move on it and that will apply to both your weapons so you can have more choices on flail/swords
You're gonna want the dark matter that comes from the chests. I also don't think mutations have ever really dropped BiS besides a few named items, otherwise most always crafted.
What about it? Noone uses kites. Round for dps and tower for tanking. You can use a kite shield and featherweight and still be light equip if you like.
All your gear can be named. If you're referring to artifacts, yes. You can equip 1 weapon, 1 armour and 1 jewellery artifact altogether (shields count as an armour artifact)
Do not believe the health is biss for healers. I top opr or top 5 easily and pvp is cancer to fight me when I use no mobility secondary. I run 4 freedom, some enchanted ward, 4 refreshing, 1 shirk heals, sadly only fortified sacred on my featherweight. I run 2 health and and have 5 is useless still would die. I recommend if u do pvp track champions amulet. You can get stamina recovery/ health/ and your choice. Currently have a refresh recovery but with no mobility the stamina recovery is needed but need my 3 seals. Since cooldowns on life are low already unless you have beacon
I throw away gear that's bop and I can't scrap. This game is 99% junk loot and the rest is extremely confusing/grindy. No wonder people don't play it. It needs to be far more simpler to attract a larger audience.

Very true, Healing Heart or good old Refreshing etc is probably the better choice for Healers

BIS should be a long term goal for most. The right ability perks should also take president over anything else.

Hey guys do all armour pieces allow weapon perks or just certain pieces.
All armour can have weapon perks. They are just less effective than if they are on the weapon.

I run 4 freedom, some enchanted ward, 4 refreshing, 1 shirk heals, sadly only fortified sacred on my featherweight. I run 2 health and and have 5 is useless still would die. I recommend if u do pvp track champions amulet. You can get stamina recovery/ health/ and your choice. Currently have a refresh recovery but with no mobility the stamina recovery is needed but need my 3 seals. Since cooldowns on life are low already unless you have beacon

They said that but right now items under 650 can be upgraded to 700. Bring named items to the kiln to check. Ive done it already.

I'm pretty sure that comes with the gypsum kiln upgrade
@@sin_thegod I think you have to upgrade it with a "Gem Setting Pin" to get the gem slot INSTEAD of a third perk.
Despised is 100% a waste of perk on a tank.

I throw away gear that's bop and I can't scrap. This game is 99% junk loot and the rest is extremely confusing/grindy. No wonder people don't play it. It needs to be far more simpler to attract a larger audience.
