- Here is one of several tracks from Studio Jams Episode #47, taped "On The Road" in Gothenburg, Sweden. A fresh take on the Michael Jackson hit "Human Nature." It features Soren Reiff on guitar, Jannik Jensen on bass, Pontus Engborg on drums, Mattias Bylund on keyboards and, from Nashville, TN, Tracy Silverman on electric violin. For more on the series, go to www.StudioJams.com.
This is INCREDIBLE!!! I've never seen a violin like that before!!! It's cool to see everyone working through the song to decide how it will be played!!! One of my favorite Michael Jackson songs!
Love that old 70's Jazz bass!
I miss! This program
Wow!...I love the way they love to play. Awesome cover, guys! Ear candy all day!
Dear Studio Jams, please keep going for ever. It's fantastic listening to these guys talk and plan the toons before they play, not to mention when they play. Great work sorting this out Studio Jams, keep it up! Awesome.
Todd McCracken
But, ...please confiscate all chorus pedals from the guitar players before they enter the studio.
Todd McCracken ha ha ...

Fantastic. Thank you Studio Jam !!
Me gusta cuando hay ese ambiente amigable en los ensayos. Excelente!!
I love how into it Mattias is when he's playing that keyboard riff the song is circled around.
Tracy Silverman's solo very tasteful
OMG, this is one of the best covers I ever heard, I can feel the King's spirit in here.
Cobra Queen Wow Thank you Cobra :-)
@@SorenReiff I think it's so cool that the musicians from these jams actually come back to look at the performance again and see what people have to say. Also I love your playing in this, thank you for the performance. Reminded me of Carlton crossed with Eric Johnson. Do you have any tips for someone looking to bring their playing to a professional level?
Gaelen McKee That’s some cool players ... Thank you for your kind words, means a lot to me. Advice ... I have tons - wish you could join one of my guitar camps :-) but most importantly: have fun, play a lot, and play with the best possible musicians you can get to play with :-)
Love your videos, always a pleasure watching them :)
Wow, i did not expect this as long as they were talking, i love it!
HrSamstag ... yes a lot of talking ... sorry 🙏🏼😆🙏🏼
Great job. I always wanted to play drums to this live.
Viola with fret - very clean sound) I like it.
This is very good! Improvising over the melody in such a way is quite clever and reflects their skill, talent and ear. I enjoyed it very much. Thankyou.

Who is the bassist?
Jannik Jensen! Great bassplayer, and great guy! I had the great fortune of attending a school were he teaches :)!
What a kool violin
Studio legend and original drummer for Toto, the late Jeff Porcaro, was on drums for this great MJ song. Written by Steve Porcaro/Produced by Quincy Jones.
That's just awesome.

6 strings with geared tuners at the top and a strap with no chin rest and what look like some sort of frets or intonation lines

Mathias Strandvik hahaha... Kirk Cover hahaha
Stoooooop playin'. 😭
He may have been playing the violin, but the guitarist was the one using a wah
I thought it was Kenny G!
Awesome
grandmasterotis Thank you 🙏🏼
like the Piano sounded good.
Where do I get that shirt tracy Silverman is wearing?? It's amazing
Wow very beautiful and nice
Thanx to the max
Listening to this with good headphones really lets the listener hear each instrument with clarity. This is a great upload. Thanks as always. Does anyone know what brand the guitarist is playing? It looks like it says Gibson / looks like a Gibson es339 , but the headstock and inlays don't.
Probably an ES-346, he has a burst one and red one. He also plays PRS 513's, but it's obviously not one of those.
music starts at 3:29
YOU ~ ROCK ! !
Thanksssssssss
spettacolare!!!
Omero Faggionato Thank you very much 🎸🙏🏼🎸

interesting 6 string violin/guitar design.
studio gotit goin on
Ricardo R Ross Thanks 🙏🏼
Bassist is great!
Agree :-)
RAD!!!
How is that guitar/violin thing called?
Six-string electric violin. Tracy Silverman is one of its foremost proponents. Impressive.
!!!
Saxophone was mice bettr for ledd
This has less than 1/10 of the views it deserves
Thank you George :-)
I hear another guitar in there ?
No, Soren is the only guitarist. The sounds from Tracy's electric violin can be what you're hearing.
@@StudioJams Jeps :-)
fretted violin? eheh
Partially fretted. Also, six strings. Not your mother's instrument, to be sure.
I would have preferred the piano in addition to this. Mattias really could have taken off with it, in a gentle way.
Think the keyboardist is playing the famous theme line in wrong key. Bheheheh
Damn, and I am Brazilian, I noticed the error in the introduction and the American keyboardist, did not notice?
Thanks for the clarification, but to the musician's violin, noted the failure to introduce the music. But fortunately, then hit.
so what just enjoy it you idiot
Diogo Costa Filho what does Nationality have anything to do with it
Violin solo was wonderful and spot on with a nice blend of head/improvisation. The guitar player kinda ruined it.
Andrew Appleseed guitar wasn't bad, but wasn't near as tasteful as the violin
Violinist superiority complex on full display here
You're gonna have to do better than that for such a criticism to stick. He played over a minute and a half in solo ... maybe a slow start for a couple/three bars ... I didn't hear anything like a "wrong" note. You might not like his style, but his tone was acceptable even if not the cup of tea some people would want, and his technique was "on point" enough to hold his own in the session with good feeling and some very true-to-the-mark 80's vibe to it. I doubt it was my favorite guitar solo ever, but it was enjoyable and well-done.
Bass fucked everyone... Uhh sorry... It was just awesome 👍👍
Ha ha ... great - thank you
To be clear, the introduction was wrong, but at 04: 00min hit!
This arrangement is at odds with the original, for example Milles Davis!
I don't like it. jmo
Louis Harris o‘s mean nothing. jmo
