destiny has had such an amazing soundtrack trough out its entire run over the years
Glad you're enjoying so much Destiny music, been playing the game since the beginning almost 10 years ago and the music has always been 10/10 no matter what
When I walked into the Sepiks Perfected boss fight I literally fell over. You can always count on Destiny to have incredible music and, I can't ever understate this, the sound engineers as a whole are genius' without exception.
@@MangoKai i much prefer the vanilla Sepiks theme personally
d1 beta player here as well
Preach my ten year brother!!
@@infestedpotatoes
This track makes me cry. A lot of destiny tracks make me cry. The production quality is so off the charts, their composers are S+ tier.
they really are, some people don't understand how important art is to people.
This theme and melody are wonderful. This song gives this feeling of standing back up after getting knocked down, then heading back into the fight.
This was great. I suggest listening to the Raid boss music for Riven of a Thousand Voices from Desnity 2 Forsaken and The First Disciple from the Destiny 2 Witchqueen Expansion. The one is a mix of destiny horns, the wild west and high fantasy, the other is a mix of the Guardian themes and motives pressed against the ones for the Darkness/Witness.
First Disciple is my second all time favorite behind Journey. Hope she does it next.
I think I like more dethroned from the Witch Queen. So epic
Oneirophobia as well (in-game version)
riven theme i cannot wait!!!
this^
I think what I like most about these reactions is that you're able to put into words what I'm not! You have the skill and experience to understand what's going on in the music...while I'm over here like "idk it just makes me feel good". Keep it up! :)
Thank you!!
This^
Destiny 1 has an expansion called Rise of Iron. The main theme is so gorgeous. Also, Destiny 2 has an expansion called Warmind that has amazing music as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the Destiny music; Destiny 1 and Destiny 2.
Sweet, ty for the recs!
ngl, I kinda just wanna watch her play destiny 2 now XD
edit: tho sadly she'd probably need to watch a lot of videos to get caught up on everything to not feel completely lose :(
Ok I don’t see it enough but “young wolf” is my absolute favorite and I think you would enjoy the piece as a whole.
The intro, the horns, the drums, the choir, it’s just so very destiny 🙌🏽
Hearing this when I booted up Destiny 2 for the first time is an experience I will never forget
Destiny 2's "What We Fight For" song will leave you in awe. It's forever tied to my memory of Lance Reddick RIP. Can't wait for you to react to it.
omg the orchestration! the blend between solo instruments/voices, small groupings and full sections is so good!
The taken king soundtrack goes hard.
I really like what I've heard of it!
I gotta say, the track “Hidden Truth” from Destiny 2 literally made me pause the game & pay the track upon hearing it. Haunting but beautiful. Definitely give it a go.
#Subscribed
Hidden Truth is a standout for me too. Would love to hear her take!
Gotta check out the classic Destiny 1 Sepiks Prime Boss Theme that's a community favorite right there. And also the Destiny 1 Orbit soundtracks they just hit different waiting for your friends to get online and the next thing you know you're asleep loool
you gotta listen to the First Disciple or Oneirophobia eventually
You'll hear the main Inner Light melody in pretty much all of the boss themes in the game. They're especially impactful when they play during the "damage" phases of the raid bosses. At times it even mixes with "Look Within," which is the leitmotif of the Guardian using Darkness powers. Destiny's music team is really so talented. The game has its ups and downs but the music is ALWAYS fantastic.
omg, this takes me back to 2017, the good old days. destiny 2 vanilla soundtracks never dissappoints me 🔥
That lone horn line at 3:07 is the main theme melody of Destiny 1; this track weaves that line and the main Destiny 2 theme together in a super cool way.
Just found your channel after searching for a Destiny 1 Soundtrack piece and it doesn't seem you covered that particular piece but I have enjoyed the pieces from Destiny that you have reacted to, great reactions. It's so awesome to see people appreciating the music of this game, it's truly top notch. I really enjoyed your Deep Stole Lullaby reaction. If I could request a Destiny song it would be *The Nexus: Sekrion Mind* from Destiny 1... That piece is burned into my psyche because of how many times me and my fireteam died first time we did that nightfall strike from all that purple splash damage. I know that track so well if you put me in an empty orchestral studio I'd probably be able to recreate it with all the instruments lying around because of how much trauma is associated with that piece lol
Years ago, in Destiny 1 there was a song called Deconstruction, it was like 1 minute 42 seconds long. It was my friends and I's favorite song. Every now and then whenever were just hanging out in the tower or in orbit waiting to do something and just hanging someone would yell "DECONSTRUCTION" and basically that would just tell everyone to shut up for a minute and a half so that that person could listen to it. Music that played during those times (in the tower or in orbit) was client side, and the music order was random, so getting the song to play was a fairly rare occurrence, so we would always just let the person that had it playing listen to it, and then we could continue on as if nothing happened once it was finished.
Sanctuary and Guardian down are worth a listen too. Underrated tracks from Destiny
One of the best thing about Destiny's incredible music is the use of motifs and themes which recur over various pieces of music over the years, often to great effect. As you get to learn what they are (the 'light' theme, the 'guardian' theme, the 'darkness' theme, etc) the music becomes even more meaningful because the composers are masters at interweaving them in a way that reflects the story of what's going on in the game.
So far you've done all quieter, more reflective pieces, which is fine if that's your preference, but there's some real bangers out there too in the realm of Destiny music- I'd suggest tracks like Shell of What Was, The First Disciple, Queen's Oracle, Battle Ready, or The Gunslinger as more upbeat choices.
It’s an interesting track. As someone who has been a member of the community since the original launch in 2016 there’s been a lot of music that’s come and gone in the series - oddball tracks like Untold Legends that are part of the original game on paper but never heard in it until Destiny 2.
Throughout all the years I’ve considered myself as part of the Guardian community, though, THIS track has been the one I’ve always associated with the game and our journey through it over the last eight or nine years since hearing it. It’s the one melody that keeps coming back and making itself known in boss fights and big set pieces, and rightfully so IMO.
I just found your page yesterday. First you're dope for being a gamer and someone who knows music music. (Idk music music, but I enjoy seeing your reactions.) Second, Destiny has a ton of bangers on their soundtracks!!! Bangers!!
ty! and agreed!! destiny has been so fun to check out
I recommend athanasia + Security Breach. both are their own tracks but they blend into one another in the game so it's worth listening to them together. There is a video that has security breach play right after athanasia
Absolutely love the ending with the horn. So reminiscent of the title track "Legend" that we heard when we booted the D1 vanilla game for the 1st time on our Xbox 360 or PS3's for the very first time. Can't recommend giving that track a listen enough!
Lost light from the that same soundtrack is my absolute favorite.
Ok sweet, ty for the rec!
Destiny as a series, has a good history of really solid music. Raid bosses, the Dungeons (especially Grasp of Avarice), each major DLC release and Raid has a song that most people go back to, to listen to. Much like Deep Stone which you already listened too. Rise of Iron and Taken King have some pretty powerful pieces and Forsaken has some good tracks that go with the loss that the community had in Vanguard.
Watching you enjoy, analyze, and break it down really makes me appreciate it a lot more. Also, I'm sorry but you are gorgeous. Your eyes and that smile are like the weapons of an angel.
There are 2 continuing motifs in Destiny music, the one for The Light which you've been complimenting throughout this video, and then one for The Darkness, which you will here alot from The First Disciple and the Beyond Light theme alittle.
Wow! I was not expecting you to start talking about the rhythm in the background and how it relates to it's implementation in game, that's super interesting to me!
i'm glad to hear!!
all the destiny music triggers so much emotions and memories. the memories give it so much more weight.
I left you two messages in your TikTok inbox after following you about Ace Combat 7 and Assault Horizon.
More Destiny: "SIVA Swarm" from Rise of Iron is a favorite. "What We Fight For," "No Mercy".....and that benediction at the end of "Pathfinder," tho... 🤩🥰
I love how destiny uses specific motif for characters, alien races, the player characters(guardians) and more to make the music that much better, for example the Guardian motif will play during the DPS phase (when we are damaging the big raid bosses) so the Boss theme will have the guardian motif weaved in during that stage, and it makes that moment feel so much more epic.
an amazing example of that is "the First Disciple" the idea is the boss is so arrogant he doesn't even see us as a threat, toying with us, playing with us and the music reflects that, but when he realises we can beat him its too late, and the music for this moment is fantastic, it even reflects the "final stand" phase of the boss fight in the music, where he is frantically trying to end us before we end him. highly recommend
if you're not looking for one of the boss fight tracks, another amazing piece from last year's dlc is Hidden Truth, i think you'll really enjoy it
A few people have mentioned it but the name of the raid soundtrack is called Shell of What Was III. It's an adrenaline pumping dark gritty song.
I don’t know if this is just wishful thinking, but if you see this comment, I think it would be awesome for you to listen to “Excerpt from the Ecstasy”, “Excerpt from the Hope”, and “Excerpt from the Union” all together (they are around 2 minutes each)
To me these are some of the most nostalgic/meaningful pieces from Destiny 1. It may just be me, but I think it would awesome to see this reaction! Thanks for reacting to what Destiny you already have though I’ve been loving it!
Edit: I forgot “Excerpt from the Tribulation” which is also 2 minutes which is also in the group
Loving the reactions so far! If I could request some Destiny tracks, please consider What We Fight For or Beyond Light's Look Within track. Both have the best usages of the main themes/motifs of their collective soundtrack.
Incredible video,em. I would try out warthog run from halo,a truly amazing soundtrack. Keep being phenomenal
that one section you replayed at the start is basically the "light"(as in the opposite of dark) leitmotif, and can be heard in a LOT of the other destiny sound tracks. I'm sure you'll pick up on the various leitmotifs that are frequently used if you continue to listen to more of these :D (my favorite is the guardian's leitmotif commonly used for the dps phases of boss/raid encounters)
"The Awoken" from the destiny taken king soundtrack. It's sooooooo soothing and relaxing
This song feels like home
Holy shit that just hit me. Havent heard this since 2017 i believe, since they changed the menu music to match the DLCs
Whish they never did
Check out the Sepiks Prime theme from Destiny 1 and the cover by Misha Mansoor which actually made it into the game with one expansion
You should listen to Grasp of Avarice from the destiny 2 soundtrack. Absolute banger
I'm intrigued
Queens Oracle is a banger of a soundtrack in Destiny 2
Glad this is becoming the Destiny listen along channel! Recs I can think are the Sepiks Redux, from the Rise of Iron expansion and the Grasp of Avarice them. The music team, at Bungie rarely miss so enjoy!
hahah destiny has too many stellar tracks, it's really hard to get away from all the recommendations! (not that i'm complaining, keep them up)
@@emyoung I'm sure you're swimming in them. Aside from Destiny, I have to shout out the Nier Automata soundtrack. It goes pretty bonkers, as the game does!
I’d love to see her take on Marty’s music from D1 or even the OG Halo Theme he did
Was just watching a tutorial how to video on Bring Me’s sound by Nick Mavromatis. He explains how he gets that modern sound in amazing detail and his productions are honestly among the best this year! I’d check his tutorials cause I see you’re going for this kind of sound🤘
Hey, I just found you on my recommended and have listened to all of your destiny 2 reactions, and they're great! I was wondering if you could react to "The Man They Called Cayde" from the Destiny 2 Forsaken soundtrack at some point! Keep up the videos 👍
consistently beautiful soundtrack. all the best of michael salvatori's work in the halo series comes through so much more clearly, concisely, and beautiful in his work on the destiny franchise
I think you should listen to the guardian theme from destiny 1, salvation from destiny 2 Shadowkeep, and the first disciple from destiny 2 the Witch Queen in that order, because you can see how the first disciple incorporates the first two themes
My favorite destiny soundtrack
The Destiny soundtrack has been one of my favorite aspects, feeling the intensity of the music during the campaign.
My favorite song from the Destiny franchise is "The Last Array." If you like the French Horns, and haven't listened to that yet, I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful reaction would love to see you react to the last array from the first destiny. People easily overlook game soundtracks but some can just be truly beautiful and amazing. I strongly recommend checking out Bear McCreary work in God of War.
I don't know if you take requests on here but if you do, mine is the track "Hospital Room" from the game Dreamfall. It's over a decade old but still hits me square in the emotions every time. Or if you're looking for more modern popular games, my pick would be "Soul of Cinder" from Dark Souls 3 soundtrack
I keep bugging to my son to propose to his school orchestra to play any Destiny song, that would be sooo awesome to hear live!
The Destiny 2 Forsaken Soundtrack is amazing. ✌
And you should try the Destiny 1 Soundtrack too!
you have to listen to destiny OST main theme. Brings tears to my eyes every time
also queens oracle, path to oryx, and deep stone lullaby are also absolutely stunning
Highly recommend listening to "The First Disciple" (in-game version) from Destimy 2 The Witch Queen, as well as "Oneirophobia" (In-game version) from Destiny 2 Lightfall.
One of my favourite tracks from Destiny is from Destiny 1 called "Eyes Up" that was played while fighting Aksis in the Wrath of the Machine raid. That song gave me goosebumps every fight: ua-cam.com/video/sn-8QQqNyuQ/v-deo.html
I recommend you give Music of the Spheres a listen. Destiny's best music in my opinion.
I don’t know if you’ve listened to the song Rise of Iron from Destiny 1, but it was one of my favorites
Music from games really gets slept on too much. There are games that have absolutely phenomenal music! Destiny and Destiny 2 are both excellent examples of this! It's also hard to imagine writing a piece of music that will potentially have to play on a loop for hours (maybe music that plays in a town). I've really enjoyed seeing your reactions to these wonderful pieces of music!
A few I really like:
Halo 3: Finish the Fight
Destiny: Untold Legends
Shadow of the Colossus: Prologue
Skyrim: Dragonborn
Kameo: Legend Unfolds
Journey: Nascence
Super Mario Galaxy: Gusty Garden
Some of these are totally out of left field, but if you've never heard these tracks, I'd highly recommend them! Even if you don't make a video, they're all great, in different ways.
you should check out some of the halo 3 odst sound track. same game company made that game as destiny and just something about the music is so relaxing. you may reeeeeaally like God of War 2018's theme song. chills every time
This game has so many great tracks. My personal favorites are “beyond light” and “the witch queen.” You should check them out if you can.
if you havent yet, listen to Deep Stone Lullaby or Journey, those are my favorite songs and both are just phenomenal
both are already reacted to on my channel!
Other people: So, what kind of music do you listen to?
Me:
Athanasia, or the farm, are masterclass too.
no matter what people say about the game, the music is absolute gold.
You should definitely listen to Remembrance from The Taken King if you haven't already
if you love these horns that are playing in a ton of the Destiny 2 songs, then i highly recommend listening to Destiny - Guardian!
i love these videos of you listening to destiny ost`s! and by that i would recommend also listening to at least two more of Destiny`s ost`s: Insurrection- by Michael Salvatori and Skye Levin! And Discipline by the same artists:) They`re a bit more dark and Melancholy, but awesome soundtracks and my go to music when drawing :D
Just wait until you get to Beyond Light soundtrack forward. It might be biased because I LOVE darker themes and tones, but its still soooo good.
If you get the chance, listen to these from Destiny 1:
Excerpt from the Ecstasy
All Ends are Beginnings
The last array
Rise of Iron
Oneirophobia and Look within are must listens from Destiny 2
Oneirophobia coming soon, that one has been highly requested!
@@emyoung would be cool if you could listen to the full action version of Oneirophobia thanks!
A lost of my personal favourites are
Lepidopterophobia (Witch Queen)
Queens Deception (Witch Queen)
Lament (beyond light)
Oneirophobia (lightfall)
Light the streets (lightfall)
Destiny and Destiny 2 has such amazing soundtracks so I would highly recommend listening to the every track out there, but to narrow down the list a little I would first and foremost highlight some personal favorites:
- "The First Disciple" - boss fight theme from Destiny 2: The Witch Queen (ua-cam.com/video/wsnGPlZc9Dc/v-deo.html is the official track, but I think this longer, fan-edited ua-cam.com/video/riPGMYONwdA/v-deo.html better showcases the track development as the fight progresses).
- "Eyes Up" - main-theme-turned-boss-fight-theme from Destiny 1: Rise of Iron (ua-cam.com/video/sn-8QQqNyuQ/v-deo.html).
- "Pathfinder" - exploration/light combat from Destiny 2 (ua-cam.com/video/EX4DvxtIvgo/v-deo.html).
There are so many more great pieces out there though! =)
Love your Destiny reaction videos. You should do a reaction to Destiny: Rise of Iron - "Eyes Up".
On its way:)
A song I like is
Metal hell
It’s from doom
Hey Em! Loving the reactions to Destiny's music. It all started with Marty O'Donnell's Music of the Spheres, a 45 minute, 8 piece symphony which he composed during the original Destiny game's development. His involvement with Destiny took a dramatic turn over creative differences sadly, and he was fired. Mike and the rest of the composers have done a FANTASTIC job with the music since. Marty's original work still influences it in a big way, and is on par with the most amazing film scores ever created in my opinion. Here it is with a lossless download link in the pinned comment ua-cam.com/video/KDf1h5jleBM/v-deo.html
If you liked Inner Light, I'd recommend "Beyond Light" from the Destiny 2 expansion Beyond Light. That track along with Inner Light and Guardian really became part of the game's melodic toolbox and you see them repeated all over the OST.
I think you'd really enjoy three of the most recent final raid boss themes, but you should also listen to the player character's leitmotif beforehand as it gets referenced in all of them:
ua-cam.com/video/iL0k_C5B3rY/v-deo.html - "Guardian"
ua-cam.com/video/KDx-QTRtBDE/v-deo.html - "Look Within"
ua-cam.com/video/wsnGPlZc9Dc/v-deo.html - "The First Disciple"
ua-cam.com/video/beGLAnX7-J0/v-deo.html - "Oneirophobia"
If you're listening to Oneirophobia, make sure to find the full in-game version since the soundtrack version cuts out some of the best parts
Hi! If you get a chance please check out Destiny 1's soundtrack as well. Notable tracks, The Last Array, Siege Dancers ( those bongos) & Sepiks Prime. Bonus track lol. There is a remix for Sepiks Prime that is dope as well!
May I suggest "sanctified mind" from destiny 2
You've heard some of my favorites from this, but I've gotta HARD recommend "Last Rite" (base game) and "The Man They Call Cayde" (Forsaken expansion)
Grasp of Avarice from D2 pleeeeease
Hey! I dont know if you take recommendations from UA-cam comments but I would absolutely love to se you react to "This is What You Are" from the Warframe soundtrack!
halo music
Love your channel, and Destiny 2 has some awesome tracks! If you're taking suggestions, have you listened to/played Final Fantasy XIV? Some really great music there. I would recommend checking out "Footsteps in the Snow". Thanks again!
ty!! I haven't done any FF yet, but will take any recommendations! I'll add that one to the list:)
you may like
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt OST Hunt or Be Hunted
devil may cry 5 OST devil trigger and bury the light
assassin creed revelation and iii
also anime death note L THEME SONG AND detective conan theme song...
I, and a lot of people in the comments that are fans, all agree that Destiny in it's entirety is a masterpiece of musical work. My personal favorite, however, is the Rise of Iron (from Destiny 1) soundtrack. I don't know what it is about it.
I put it up there with Avatar 2
Plz give a listen to destiny 2 theme song, travelers dream, trust me you will love it as it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard
Apart from the videogame soundtracks, you should check out Playing God by Polyphia. Really great players and the piece itself. Well, pretty much all of Polyphia's songs.
And Never Forget, from Halo. Oh yes.
love polyphia!
Final Fantasy 15 intro please
I bleed for Destiny music. We may be a small group, but if you know you know. I'm glad there are people who appreciate the magic as much as me.
Athanasia+Security Breach next please.
Top picks of course change with new releases but my personal top 3 from Destiny at the moment would be:
1 - Acceptance,
Destiny 2, Beyond Light
2 - The Path,
Destiny 1, Music of the Spheres
3 - Forward Fleet,
Destiny 2, Lightfall
Hope you might check them out but with an ocean of good choices it's hard to make videos on everything
I'll add these to the list, ty!!
