The only thing that worries me about this is having to have to buy the device and then have them shift to a paid service or putting all the useful features behind paywalls or subscriptions. Love the steps we're taking to being able to connect to other musicians though! It's looking like finding bandmates is about to take a drastic change in direction.

Very cool man.. It's still a great idea especially if you have a super fast line like me.. I have fiber and I love it.. Too bad I don't have a mac though... I need to get one.. At least the little box mac. I think you used to have one.. I had a mac book, but it quit on me with a bad board..
Man, I had my knee operated on this AM to fix cartlidge and it sucks.. I'm stuck in doors and today is so beautiful out.. I think it's fall there so it would be perfect to jam with some friends with that.. Great device.

Interesting! How does it compare to Jamulus? I'm assuming you've used it, so if I'm assuming wrong never mind. 🤣😝✌️ My Thin Lizzy project Southbound use jamulus frequently, it's a great tool to get prepared for rehersals. Figure out what needs work, what bits we're missing etc etc. But despite our quick Internet, we all have issues with latency. If it's better, this would be something perhaps worth investing in! Yeah we've spent a bunch of time on Jamulus and Jamkazam diving deep on them but didn't have results as good as this. Be keen to know if it works as well on your end.
@@LeonTodd Super handy during the pandemic for sure. So odd to have music just disappear overnight. Been in bands for 16 years, since I was 15 years old. Was such a bizarre shift! That said, jamulus does have a few minor issues. If I can convince the fellas it's a good idea, I'll let you know how it goes. 😝💡🙃😎😁
@@SeagoGuitarist yeah it was simultaneously bewildering and refreshing. Nice to be away from the grind for a little while but it made me realise how much I genuinely enjoy music.

Is this the best software/hardware to online jam? And does everyone need to have the ELK box?
The latest version doesn't require the hardware box
