    Interesting technique ! Never heard of it before ..... love the use of the head pin too - no risk of a glued on bail falling off !!

      I remember before I started making the headpins, I couldn't use normal headpins because they didn't cover the sanding area. The glue-in ones I found that were big enough didn't stay put. So frustrating!

    How long do these pieces last for you? I’m really interested in finding out, as I’ve started making memorials from uv resin as well but I’m fairly new to it!

      Hi Mindy, it depends on how well the client looks after it and the care instructions you provide. Have you seen my free ashes jewellery making course on Keepsaker Supplies? Thanks, Nikki

    Cute but when dealing with human ashes shouldn’t you were gloves?

    • @KeepsakerSupplies
      @KeepsakerSupplies  6 місяців тому +1

      I totally understand your question and think it deserves addressing. I always wear at least a dust mask, plus if I'm grinding ashes I wear a respirator. However, cremation ashes are sterile and perfectly safe to handle. People get tattoos with the ashes inside and personally I'm comfortable touching them.
      I find that I have more control, more dexterity and do a better job without gloves. I only wear them when absolutely necessary and I know I can get the effects I like. Please wear gloves and get good at it but if you feel you need to touch the piece don't be afraid to. There's also the spiritual connection of being able to care for the deceased in a compassionate way, especially if they were in hospital before they passed and didn't get a human's touch without gloves. Hope this doesn't sound strange, but I feel strongly connected to my work and it brings me a lot of honour.
      Thanks
      Nikki

      If you click the mute button that might give you sound. It's working ok for me and for everyone else. Maybe try a video or music on another website and check your device's sound is working ok. Hope that helps
