But Joe, Roe v Wade was never the law of the land and that's why it was so easily reversed.
The Roe ruling went against the 10th ammendment. Ruling belongs to the states.
Even their goddess Ruth Bader Ginsberg said it was a garbage ruling that could be overturned at any time.
To be the law of the land, it must either be legislated by Congress or it must be a component of the Constitution. We then have judicial rulings that become “common law”, but those can be overturned by legislation, Constitutional amendment, or additional judicial rulings.

I'm a 70 year old American, when Trump was President my husband and I were making it through every month on a fixed income. Since Biden took office we're struggling and without the help of our adult children we wouldn't get through the month.
God, I'm so sorry you're having that situation. My parents are around that age and it's the same. We, like many of our neighbors (mostly Asian families), live together with our parents and take care of each other like that. Since the economy has gone how it has, I know I'm paying a lot more out to help my parents than I used to. I don't regret it, it's my duty, but I notice and so does my mom.
It's rough. We shouldn't have to live like this. It's scary and depressing. All by intent I'm sure. I hope it gets better for all of us soon.

It's amazing that people still don't understand that ridding roe v wade didn't abolish "abortion rights"...it just made it a state issue because of how vastly different each state is.
For example, CA has their own state minimum wage. It is currently $16/hr whereas the Federal is less than half that. MS, for example, has no state min wage, so they rely on the Federal mandate for wages, which is currently $7.25/hr. Does this mean that CA shouldn't have the autonomy to assess their own laws and do what is needed/desired for that state? The min wage will go much farther in MS than it will for CA because these 2 states are very different from one another. Similarly, each state has different cultures and they don't want to be shackled by a one-size-fits-all law that isn't a neutral issue.
So rightfully, the removal of roe v wade simply came down to "you know what, MS and CA have different cultures, there shouldn't be a law hamstringing their ability to legislate based on their unique state sub-cultures".

In the world of Bidenomics, nothing meets the dictionary definition of that word, unless they change the dictionary definition for a word again. Like for “bloodbath”.
Abortion has never been illegal at the national level in the United States of America. Before RVW happened, there were abortions occurring in this country. It's just that there were certain states that had laws limiting or banning it. Other states had no loss in regards to abortion. So women got abortions before RVW. The RVW decision was not specific to say that it was about abortion. That decision was made on a right to privacy in a medical procedure. That procedure just happened to be an abortion. The woman bringing that case ended up not even getting the abortion that she fought all the way up to the supreme Court to obtain as a medical procedure. But what that decision was used for was legal precedence for having abortion as some sort of protected activity at the national level. So all the states just fell in line with what that decision represented legally. When the decision was overturned, that did not make abortion illegal again. It's simply removed the legal precedence for having abortion as some sort of protected procedure at the national level. Now we have states either able to institute their own limits and bands on abortion, or you have States that are actually their own protections for the procedure within the borders of their state. That seems to me to be democracy at work. But the Democratic party is using this as a national platform to browbeat the Republican party over the issue of killing babies and women's rights to do that with impunity. As things stand right now, the messaging war over abortion has been won by the left.
What the demented old man has said here is not factual. The decision made by the supreme Court was made on legal grounds. Supreme Court justices like the late Ruth bader Ginsburg said that the RVW decision was bad legal precedence. Donald Trump had little to nothing to do with what happened there. The supreme Court simply made a decision based on its legal merit. But The left in this country have decided to use the issue as a wedge issue to browbeat the Republicans, and they've had some success in doing it. This issue came into play in the 2022 midterms, and they are trying to capitalize on that in the 2024 election. I don't think it'll have much success at the presidential level, but they could definitely have success for the various senatorial and congressional elections that will take place. They think they are going to take both houses of Congress, and they very well may be right.

I hope Trump has some competent political operatives on his team who understand the situation as you just laid it out, because you’re 100% correct.
