    Wonderful video. I have been trying to train my grandson how to play badminton. This video helps him to understand the basics, the importance of the posture and that it's OK to miss hitting the birds. Thanks for sharing.

    Merci à celui qui a fait la vidéo. Je cherchais des pistes pour entraîner ma fille en perso. L'entrainement de notre club est superficiel et ils sont débordés.
    La base c'est ce que l'on voit dans la vidéo, tenir la raquette et savoir dégager, le corps....C'est primordial

    that is a type of bad training my friend this type of method affect the badminton racket to be broken as the coach is teaching a little wrong way !!:)

    Shocking that they let the kids trample over the shuttles when moving toward the net, accident waiting to happen.

    • @Gamecubesupreme
      @Gamecubesupreme 10 років тому +3

      You're joking, right? This is how badminton players train everywhere in the world. Not once has any accident being reported because a player got "injured" by stepping on a shuttle. You know why? Because it's physically impossible.

    • @matthewchittenden3099
      @matthewchittenden3099 10 років тому +3

      I wouldn't say it's physically impossible. I am a qualified coach and reguarly teach young kids to play. We always promote safety in our sessions and wouldn't dream of letting the kids trample over the shuttles. I've seen many of accidents of slipping on shuttles causing ankle or leg injuries due to unbalance. It just seems like the coaches are more interested in getting through the cue of kids than actually feeding the right shuttle for them to perform the shot correctly. #justsaying

      Matthew Chittenden
      Slipping on shuttle is very different from stepping on one. The exercise they were doing was meant to promote footwork. Even if they step on one (which actually is pretty difficult to do, if you notice from the video), it is impossible for them to slip on it the same way they would if they ran onto one. Not to mention you are judging the training session from a short segment that might not have being the actual meat of the training. It is possible they were focused on specific areas those particular players needed improvements in.

      @deadsquad6815 9 років тому +1

      Matthew Chittenden yes sir as I am a gold medalist of our country I know they need to start at foot work or proper handling of rocket so it will be easy to hit a shuttle cock so they will teach some techniques if there done at basics.

      +Villson Thong From the looks of it when they clash against the wall with the racket that should be the same time you are making contact with the shuttle.
