I actually used these exorcises for table tennis as well lol It helped. Chinese are so quick and light footed when it comes to table tennis and badminton
Yup you could use it for tennis as well, fairly similar minus there's not much shuffling around or vertical movement but the muscle training wouldn't hurt. The side to side lunges may be a little unrelated to tennis though as there more badminton defense.
As a recreational tennis player, one of the harder things for me mentally is to keep my feet moving after I have moved into position but the ball is still bouncing to me. These really help, especially the first four, which get you doing small repetitive movements pretty much in place and with good balance.
@mcyuen413 It's one of the smaller things that can help make subtle differences. It will help your lactic acid tolerance and help to provide some general strength and "faster feet" for badminton in your footwork. That being said you still need to practice footwork and everything else to see the difference.
this would help with changing direction, for football I feel that doing a lot of agility ladder and drills like that will benefit you a lot more but this would be a good thing to do before getting to doing those.
How young can athletes do this? Can children at 8 do these exercises on grass? My guess is that the grass would be more giving than the hard surface for these young knees and legs. And thanks for the excellent video.
@SkyEkou67 I have done this on and off for maybe 2 years. sometimes I wont do it for 3 or 4 months and then will jump back into a routine with it. I'm not trying to sound big on myself or cocky but I'm not going 100% in this demonstration. this is something like 60%, when you do a real set you push yourself to the max and make it hard for yourself.
@xXelthas Depends, when starting out try for 1 set and 3-4 times a week. as you progress add in a another set. At the highest I did 6 sets 3 days a week and it was painful.
that looks ridiculously harsh....great job to you man...i cant even last till the 4th...with 20 seconds workout and 1 min rest....i still got a long way to go...but thanks!!
@footyfarid19 you dont need a line, its the exact same without a line present your still going back and forth over an imaginary line on the floor. you dont want to be taking big jumps forward and backwards or side to side.
you can do anywhere from 1-3 or 4. remember its all about pushing yourself as hard as you can each set so there will be a point where you just physically cant do anymore.
hey man, should i do this even when i have practice at school? and if so, what kinda stretches should i do aswell? could you upload a video that has the exercises along with the stretches
Great exercises! Do we do these as and when we like or is there a limit of how much to do and when to do it? Thanks for your help, I would love to incorporate some of these in my game!
On a similar training video with exercises lasting 25 minutes ("Badminton Chinese Footwork Conditioning"), they did it 3 times a week. It's about two repetitions of each of these. I hope this helps!
@ryuuseiken13 The tuck jumps may be one of the harder ones, different people will find certain ones harder than others and there is nothing wrong with that. Still good though and in no time you will be able to go the full time. Keep working hard!
@yeasen12345 You could but that could also be over doing it, take at least 1 rest day in between that's assuming your doing more than 1 set of this per time.
My question would be how long have you been doing this to achieve that level of speed? I know it depends on the person but for you personally, how long?
Great video, and looking at your other videos - you are generally quicker than other players. I was wondering is this your total workout? just 10 minutes? or do you do more usually, i.e. these are just examples. Thanks anyway!
can hardly breath after one set. how many set do i need to complete? is it gonna damage my muscles if I do this daily? currently I'm doing it once in every two days.
You can add sets as you see fit, usually 1-2 sets is enough if you are going all out. It wont damage your muscles, as long as you dont have any injuries doing it. This will start to get really easy after time and thats when you know you have progressed passed it and will need to move onto other exercises.
I did this everyday ,one month before a tournament and. it really helps. I became the champion. thanks man
For real?
terbaik tuan...
memang betul video ni sangat berguna...senang nak praktis
8 years later and I'm now getting into badminton, thank you for keeping this video up because it's great!
I actually used these exorcises for table tennis as well lol It helped. Chinese are so quick and light footed when it comes to table tennis and badminton
The side to side lunges look like a dance move. What a boss!
This guy knows his stuff, the training is real and it works! Thanks for this :)

Damn you have fast feet. I got up of the chair, tried it, and man it's not easy. Hopefully, this can translate into faster court movement. Thanks man!
Best badminton lower body HIIT workout ever
Why do you comment a negative comment, if he want to train like that, he can train like that? Its just amazing to watch!!!
Very useful exercises for footwork & I'd really like it. It really improves my movements on badminton courts. Thank you very much for your work!
No problem, glad that I could help in some way and that you were able to find it useful that's awesome for the improvements.

it would be a great pleasure to send the block balls very precise in the angles of the table to see this young talent running for me :)
This is in Calgary AB in Talisman Center!! I workout there all the time!
It's really 100% useful workout for badminton🏸 thank you so much ❤🙏

@AgricolaSuperbus for sure it would be, most sports that requires quick directional changes these exercises would be good.
Yup it is, different sports require different agility routines but this one is still pretty transferable to other sports.
You should include the word "badminton" in video title. Was very hard to find this video even though it was so good!
this would help with changing direction, for football I feel that doing a lot of agility ladder and drills like that will benefit you a lot more but this would be a good thing to do before getting to doing those.
good job....i think i m gonna try this...hope it helps my footwork on court...!!!!!

This guy is doing the Happy Feet! :P
This guy must be one hell of a dancer.
@xXelthas Depends, when starting out try for 1 set and 3-4 times a week. as you progress add in a another set. At the highest I did 6 sets 3 days a week and it was painful.
@debajyoti99 No problem, there are some that I know yes mostly wrist curls and all that stuff with wrist movements and weights.
that looks ridiculously harsh....great job to you man...i cant even last till the 4th...with 20 seconds workout and 1 min rest....i still got a long way to go...but thanks!!
does the opening of the mouth includes this footwork training? JUST KIDDING!!! NICE!!!
@footyfarid19 you dont need a line, its the exact same without a line present your still going back and forth over an imaginary line on the floor. you dont want to be taking big jumps forward and backwards or side to side.
@roystein99 I would recommend 2-3 times a week maybe 4 times at the most, allowing at least 1 day in between for rest and recovery.
Nice Nicholas . This really helps a lot. Thank you for sharing . Do you have any exercises for improving wrist power ?
Nice video. How much time each day do we need to do these exercises and how much time until I can feel its effect?
Is this for badminton or table tennis foot work exercise.
Good work and thanks for the tips. Greetings from Sweden!
@roystein99 9 would be one of the more tiring ones for sure

No problem, glad that you liked it!
you can do anywhere from 1-3 or 4. remember its all about pushing yourself as hard as you can each set so there will be a point where you just physically cant do anymore.
@angoo83 Than you, glad to hear that you will use it for your badminton as well.
Tight. Can this be used for tennis.
hey man,

and if so, what kinda stretches should i do aswell?

Sorry I have been swamped with so much work lately, I will do my best to write something up for you but wont have much free time this summer.
@ryuuseiken13 The tuck jumps may be one of the harder ones, different people will find certain ones harder than others and there is nothing wrong with that. Still good though and in no time you will be able to go the full time. Keep working hard!
Really useful. Thank you very very much!
I think you are doing speed and endurance 😉
this guy gots stamina......great job man....
@yeasen12345 You could but that could also be over doing it, take at least 1 rest day in between that's assuming your doing more than 1 set of this per time.

No problem, glad it helped you.
No problem glad that it helped.
I did this everyday, one month before a tournament. and I became the champion. thanks a lot man it really helps
Yes you could do that everyday then 1-2 sets per day should be fine.
@Ul1k3m3 Stretching is always good, especially after doing something like this yes.
How often do we have to do this in order to see its effect?
You can use this for tabel tennis as well
My question would be how long have you been doing this to achieve that level of speed? I know it depends on the person but for you personally, how long?
Am happy to share something that others can find useful and can modify to suit their needs too.
Balls of feet , you mean like not on your tones but the whole foot ? Or wat exactly do you mean ? (Sorry if it's bad english)
Thanks you.
Great and just GREAT...
Great video, and looking at your other videos - you are generally quicker than other players. I was wondering is this your total workout? just 10 minutes? or do you do more usually, i.e. these are just examples. Thanks anyway!

Thank you
Thanks . This good for up my spirit
Man..you are good! keep it up...
fast forward and you will have the laugh of the millenium
You can do this 2-3 or even more times a week at as many sets as you feel capable of doing at full effort.
Everyday I am shuffling~
you should put time stamps in the description of each move
Bro I am a badminton beginner. What is the frequency of this excercise. I play once a week only. but I want to improve my foot steps
Your welcome, glad to help
Just did a set, tough and fun! :)
Do I have to do this with my mouth open?
@nicholasbonkowsky can i do this everyday??
you live in calgary too?
Great exercises, ty!!
Glad that it was a challenge.
What is fast feet for? Increasing speed in court? Because im very slow
can hardly breath after one set. how many set do i need to complete? is it gonna damage my muscles if I do this daily? currently I'm doing it once in every two days.

is that in Talisman centre??
That's some serious Crip walking in the beginning.
Really this is very informative
great great video!!!!!
just want to ask.... how many sets must u do in a day? or just one per day
Really can improve my footwork? my current footwork is not fluid and very rigid.
Yes, it makes your reactions and movement around the court faster. It is tiring when you first start off though.
which shoes are these? something like Butterfly? they seem to be great
They are the old Yonex SHB 92mx shoes. Long since discontinued unfortunately.
Dude. Esh
