Main Update: Battlescroll is finally out! Basically everything I said in the video mostly still stands, while plague censer bearers and the Bell got nerfed they are still great, the Bell spam list no longer works, simplest change would to just downgrade one of the bells to a grey seer on foot. The only other list I mentioned that was negatively changed was the shooting castle list, but you can easily just swap the bombardiers for engineers to have the list fit, since engineers are cheaper now.
With the points decreases The main winners I would say are the Plagueclaws, Warp Lightning Cannons, Rat Ogors and Thanquol on Boneripper. All of them are much easier to fit into lists and I'm particularly excited to try and get Thanquol on Boneripper back on the table, although I think with Plagueclaws and the Hell Pit Abomination being such efficient horde-breakers, I think nowadays you would want to equip Bonerippers with all melee-weapons instead.
Update: There is a minor error in the Zoomwheels list, the Warlord battalion is for the spell lore enhancement, not the Artifact Enhancement like it says in the bottom corner.
Update 2: At 1:06:08 I accidentally said you can hide the Deathmaster in a Gutter Runner unit, when I meant to say Night Runner unit

I really wish other factions took notes from the Skaven Battletome. The 'make your own subfaction' army creation ROCKS! In my opinion, the only thing holding the Skaven rules back is some really specific keywording that makes some really cool interactions not happen. I just think it would be cool if master moulders and warplock engineers could buff storm fiends.
with the "sigmar lied" teaser we might get a skaven model refresh here, at the very least the gutter runners will get the plastic operation it sorely needs

i play enough skaven to expect gaining nothing new from this video and just watching for entertainment but you actually showed me a few tricks and a list to try: the doomwheel list; its so wierd and funny that i need to try that one day. never thought about making these guys work. awesome video dude!

The one thing that I don’t like very much about Skaven lore in AOS is how they made every Great Clan have a definite but different set of beliefs concerning the Horned Rat, with the Grey Seers running around trying to accommodate everything. In Fantasy, there were pretty much only 2 sets of beliefs: those that the Grey Seers had established were followed by everyone else in Skavendom, whilst the Clan Pestilens held radical beliefs which led to at least the firs Civil War for the most part. As a third, some notable Skryre characters were pretty much atheists. This made the stakes between the clans so much greater imo as there were times when Clan Pestilens almost took over all of Skaven society

@rocomet thank you for this amazing breakdown! I've been collecting Skaven for the last two years and started strong by collecting two Echos of Doom Boxes with a Buddy that plays Sylvaneth! I don't quite have the mass to pull off most of your lists but I am EXTREMELY grateful for your recommendations on fundementals. The GW stores have been doing a massive Path to Glory campaign to wrap up the 3rd edition events and my first two games devistated me. I really need to dig in and learn the rules. (trying to become a player as well as a painter, I have almost 7000 points of skaven but sadly other than the Skryer items you mention many of my models are in your don't play category :) ) Regardless, I am excited to give a lot of this a whirl and see how it pans out. I'll report back on how Game 3 goes! :) Hopefully my Warlord Itheek Skitterboom the Bombadier will have a turn of luck and start bring the Great Horned Rat the glory it deserves! :)
To elaborate, I'm planning to fight on death, field my 2 screaming bells with the Grey Seer on foot (or get another Grey seer) I need to get a Warp Grinder weapons team. And really dig in on the spells like you were saying. I think my best luck is going to be in the Skyre world because I love those goofy contraptions and I'm a 40k Ork player so I love the chancey crazy stuff! :)

I started playing Warhammer Age of Sigma around the end of last year and now have a small army of serafon (around 2000 points) and the Vengard box of the lumineth realm lord (and a combat patrol of 40K)
I've been interested in the Gloomspite Gitz trolls for a long time but have recently developed an interest in the Skaven. I really liked the beginning of the video, maybe it will convince me to get it. I should watch your other videos, for example the Lumineth real Lords, I bought it more because of my feelings 😅

If I'm being honest, nighthaunt probably won't happen any time soon, however Soulblight is definitely a top contender for armies I want to make a video on

Oh my goodness. I can't believe that I totally forgot about Tabletop Simulator. Looks like I am going to be making my 5th army after all!!
Also, back up organs is arguably better against some match ups where you know the hellpit will get one shot regardless of if he has toughened sinew or not and the reroll to bring him back can actually swing the game
There's a small niche for the corruptor if you really want to have Nurgle allies, since you need a pestilens general for that
Thanquol can quite easily get up to +5 to cast if you get arcane terrain in your territory :D

I got into 3d printing and I found a nice bundle of rat STLs. They look better than the official ones. Even GW store I visit has zero rats. Most of mine are printed.
Since the skaven have had a point drop, would you consider doing two grey seers instead of just one on the budget list, and if so, would you change anything else?

one question why is there no Rattling Gun Weaponteams?
Rattling Guns I don't recommend to players as for the most part they are just ineffective, they usually do a bit of damage and immediately die after without accomplishing much

hey can I get away with a massive tarpit of 60 clan rats with rusty blades? along with two units of 20 Stormvermin? unless Plague monks get a refresh I don't consider myself a meta player

Death Master can not be hidden in gutter runners. Unless there is an FAQ I missed. Would be excellent, would make sense, but no dice.

Why is the skilled manipulators bodyguard seen as mandatory? Isn’t it worded so you can either do the bodyguard OR the ward roll?
Good question! Because the rule instructs you to make the roll. If it was optional, it would say, "You can roll a dice" instead of "Roll a dice". For reference you can see this optional wording on spirit hosts or Saurus Guard.

Hm, I heard you say that Stormvermin are not good. I just ran the math, and point for point they outswing Liberators and Bleakswords in combat, and swing roughly equal to 'Ardboyz in terms of points of damage inflicted in combat on each other. Are they really that terrible at combat for a battleine? Then how bad are Liberators?
They even swing favorably against Longbeards with Gromril Shields, although they lose against Grandweapons. It seems to me you could do a lot worse than Stormvermin, especially if you buffed them.
Is it wrong that i got three vanguard box's for boom boom cannons alone. Grabbed two Bombadiers. And kickbashed one gry seer in to a enge.. called it good yes.. Yes.
I got two vanguard boxes and am thinking about getting a third just for the Stormfiends. So I would say it's not wrong. The Great Horned Rat calls, and we must enlarge his army
