New Method For Windows 11 Unsupported PCs (Easiest Yet)

- I have found 2 of the easiest methods to date to install Windows 11 23H2 on unsupported hardware. I included both ways in this video because one of them is so easy I'm afraid Microsoft might block the workaround. You're not going to believe how easy these methods are.

Thank you so much bro ive been running windows 10 unsupported for 4 years now and other tutorials didnt work but yours did thank you
Bro you saved me! The Original method from a year ago stopped working this new method bypassed all those issues I was having. Thank you, you're the best.
Pro Tip: instead of double left clicking the iso file, you should instead right click open with windows explorer. It does the same thing, but if the user has applications installed that associate the .iso file extension, then it will open that application instead of mounting the iso. Hope this helps!
Good tip.
Ummm, Excuse me! That was insanely easy. Surface Pro 3 running 22H2. The easiest thing I've done yet, so, obviously the second option. I appreciate you.@@CyberCPU
Hitting enter on the ISO does the same mounting experience as well.
@@CyberCPU Hey!! So my windows explorer keeps crashing. Tried all the solutions available online. Please create a video for this problem. Would be really grateful
Good point, just in case someone had installed a CD or DVD burning program. That software will associate .iso to it upon installation.
The best upgrade to old hardware is to install a SSD drive. Great improvement can be achieved.
@@jdrhea6712 What are you disagreeing with? An upgrade to an SSD will normally make a massive difference if you're still running a traditional mechanical drive.
Thank you so much! I was stuck with my updates for around a month and this worked so smoothly. Left a like and a subscription. Greetings from Germany!
For whatever reason, my system would not get the 23H2 update, so I downloaded the ISO using the Windows Media Creation Tool and did it as an upgrade. Believe it or not, the modification I did to get Windows 11 to install on unsupported hardware the first time was still present and worked for the upgrade as well! The way I knew this is what happened was the installer came up and said it was getting ready to install "Windows Server", which was part of the original hack. Well, 10 minutes later I had 23H2 installed without having to wipe my machine and start over!
Yeah, if you don't rerun the script from the last video then it stays active.
thanks for your input my guy your videos are always helpful
Good man! I used the very easy method and it worked like a dream; back up and running in less than 15 minutes. Thank you and keep up the good work.
You are a life saver 4 days I spent trying to get my new build to work with widows 10 and I couldn’t get my 3090 to be seen. Your 1 video fixed everything. Thank you so much
THIS WORKS!! Too often I get tips where the prompts and menus don't match what's being instructed or for whatever reason the modification doesn't work. In fear of messing up my desktop I did this on my Edge laptop, and it worked great! Now I'm thinking better go ahead with the Desktop B4 MS shuts it down. THANK YOU.
Man, I wish I had found your channel just one day earlier! I was trying to install windows 11 on a Microsoft surface pro 5 a few days ago. All the methods I found were not working. I did eventually update it successfully, but your video would have really helped!
I’ve only been working in IT at a school district for ten months, but I will definitely be watching your videos for future tips.

Thank you Rich for posting its nice to have another work around in your toolkit, I still use the Rufus method, down load the ISO and make USB with Rufus, if you reboot to it you can do a clean install however if I just want to upgrade my operating system I just run the setup from the ISO it works like magic and you still get all the MS updates
Thanks a lot, the super easy methode worked. Originally my system had an unsupported CPU (Ryzen 1600) and I did install Win 11 (22H2) with workarounds (both secure boot and TPM 2 activated). A couple of month ago I upgraded CPU to Ryzen 5700X, but still I wasn`t receiving an update to 23H2, even though all new features of Moments 4 update were working just fine.
Your method to upgrade to Windows 11 was EXCELLENT. Easy to understand verbal instructions and graphics.
THIS WORKED!!! Thank you so much! I recently upgraded my PC with a WiFi 6E card, but I was bummed to find out I couldn't utilize the 6 Ghz band on Windows 10. No problem, I'll just upgrade to Windows 11, right? WRONG. Processor is apparently "too old" to upgrade. Then came the solution in your video! Now here I am on Windows 11 on the 6 Ghz band with all it's speedy glory! Again, I can't thank you enough!
I for a second thought he was about to install Windows 11 on a microwave 💀
Well, I did install it on a raspberry pi once. 😂🤣

Just used your really really easy way and it worked a charm! Many thanks.
Thank You.
I was going with the other method to mod one of the setup files but this one worked also.
The contrast between Windows Vista and Windows 11 is interesting. For Vista the issue was Microsoft certifying hardware that wasn't powerful enough to run it smoothly, now with 11 it's the opposite where they refuse to support hardware that is able to run it.
Umm, yeah....I don't think Microsoft had any control over certifying hardware that OEMs put on there.
OEMS most likey slapped the Vista-Capable sticker onto the underpowered machine since it could boot into Windows Vista and do all the things at bare minimum, so they called it a good enough day.
Um.... no hardware literately couldn't run windows vista that's what its issue was. People tried to run it on crap hardware and it ran like crack. Windows 11 doesn't seem to run like crap. If you don't believe me go find a windows vista laptop. I still own mine. windows 7 runs WAY better. Vista is just 7 but not as pretty and you need more power to run it.
@@Bewefau Yes, I "fixed" desperately slow laptops that came with Vista by simply installing 7
@@Bewefau Dude, Vista SP2 is literally the same as Win7 and Vista had a way better UI than 7 lol
In fact, the enablement package is the fastest way to get to 23H2.
I moderate a forum for Windows and I have also made this available for download there because I have not found an official source at Microsoft.
I also have two of my own potatoes on 23H2, as well as my laptop for daily work. The last one because I didn't want to wait until the update was rolled out.
I always find your videos very informative and send my regards from Germany.
Hey dude. Is there an enablement package to update Windows 10 22H2 devices to Windows 11? Are you talking about KB5027397 and KB5031455?

Appreciate you keeping us updated on how to skirt those useless requirements.
Usually my trick is being lazy and use third party ISOs, like Tiny11 or Ghostspectre. Which is uh... extremely not advised for security reasons lol.
Why exactly? Tiny11 is fully open source and you can download a tool to do it yourself lol.. cant vouch for ghostspectre but tiny11 is perfect.

For Those who state that the "Keep Files, settings, and apps" can't be selected first check what language version of windows is installed - you can check by opening cmd and typing dism /online /get-intl this will show your default system UI Language - so if it say en-US you'll need the united states iso from microsoft and if it states en-GB then the international iso is required so Note :picking the right iso to match your current default language will allow the Keep files, settings, and apps to be selected you cannot mix and match your iso choice.
I changed the default UI Language from en-US to en-GB in the Language section as I am in England and so using International iso but I could not delete the default en-US language package as it was not available to delete so when I type dism /online /get-intl I am still getting en-US so still getting greyed out "Keep Files, settings, and apps" any help to resolve this?
@@nolly485 you cant just change the default UI language it dont work that way! you got to pick the right iso for the default UI language already installed.hence why you check with dism /online /get-intl.
@@TibbyWorcester You can change the default UI language as I have done this now and up and running on windows 11 updated from 10 with the option "Keep Files, settings, and apps" available to select and not greyed out. You have to use the registry .
@@nolly485can you confirm if it keeps the data and files intact?
@@sanjeev_kumar14 Yes it keeps the data and files in tact. I did the update and with no issues. Now using Windows 11 with all data and files automatically transferred from the Windows 10.

This is amazing! Worked fine with a Xeon 2687w v2 on an incompatible HP workstation. Love this!
Thank you for yet another useful video. Does installing KB5027397 also work on supported hw that is running 22h2? (with the KB5031455 preview installed)
Yes.
I couldn't get it to work for me. Tried on two different laptops and got the same results. After "getting ready to install" it just stops goes away. No "ready to install "screen.
Ansolutely brilliant just installed over 10 pro and so far all is well. Thanks mate.
Mid March 2024 and the first method worked with no issues. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you so much for the process...I am upgrading from windows 10....
I followed the ISO process but stuck on Installation at 31% complete for hours....any work arounds for that will be helpful
Even though I'm not planning on upgrading from W10, my i7-6700k isn't supported, however it's still a beast of a chip, just doesn't have the security feature W11 wants. Microsoft is always taking the position of "we know better than you" and always forcefully and automatically activates / installs things instead of giving you an option. W11 has so much stuff to remove / change to make it comfortable for the average person it's incrediable.
Yes. I recently bought a new laptop with Win 11. I could not believe all the useless, unwanted crap I had to wade through and it was hiding all over the place and not easy to discover.
I bought a new Lenovo 5i Pro laptop last week. It was my first encounter with Windows 11. After exploring all afternoon, I couldn't find the "shutdown, sign out, restart" location. After I found it, I downgraded back to Windows 10. Microsoft and Bill Gates are both EVIL.
@@fredfarnackle5455 That's funny, my Lenovo Legion didn't come with a bloated Win11 install. The only thing extra was the Vantage software that controls RGB, fans, etc.
Why did you watch a video about how to update Win11 on unsupported hardware, if you don't plan on upgrading?
@@LePedant Why not, there are dozens of reasons to. Thinking is free, it costs you nothing.
thank you been trying to get it to install for awhile this method finnaly worked for my computer.
Worked perfectly!! Thank you for making this video. It was even fun to do.
Just a small comment on the return to 22h2 thing. I think (and I could be wrong) that Windows is using the Windows.old folder to go back to that version. So, if you're planning to revert to that version, make sure you don't delete that folder prior to clicking Revert or Go Back or whatever that is. On the other hand, if you don't want to go back, you might actually want to delete it cause it's usually taking a lot of space.
You can think of that folder being your "System Restore to 22H2".
No bruh just download iso n go back easy n safe.
Good information on 23H2, have been watching your channel for a couple of months now A+++, Only negative is when you state that you have included the download link (for 23h2), there is no link. Can you please add the link for us.
My bad, it's there now.

Hey, I would like to see a video a video about the rectify 11 tool. It's supposed to "improve the consistency of Windows 11 by modifying system files in a safe way, and by using various programs to improve the Windows 11 experience.". I've tested it on a virtual machine, it makes windows 11 look cleaner, but i'm not sure about its performance and safety. Could you try it and make a video about it?
I was planning on it but I abandoned it when 23h2 beta came out. Microsoft has done a pretty good job of unifying the theme of Windows 11 with 23h2. I honestly don't believe rectify 11 is even necessary anymore.
@@CyberCPU Oh, I didn't know about that, i've used the tool months ago... I'm glad Microsoft is slowly improving windows 11 like they should've done years ago. I've watched all your windows 11 videos and the last one I watched was the "How To Configure Windows 11 For Gaming" and it made me consider switching one more time xD I've been switching from windows 10 to windows 11 but never really satisfied. Do you still prefer windows 10? or are you starting to like windows 11 more?
@@BI3L1stick to windows 10, windows 11 has so much issues and is buggy right now also very slow.I switched back to windows 10 and I feel 85% fast OS

@@icyflame3813 as is the case with any OS, stability and experience is not the same for everybody. Any remotely decent pc has zero issues with windows

Thank you VERY much. This is a blessing and greatly appreciated. I subscribed for more wonderful content.
is windows 11 even worth the upgrade from windows 10? do you get anything better or anything that win10 dont already do or have?
Well, after 2025 you'll get continued support. I've done some comparisons between Windows 10 and 11 recently and windows 11 is improving quite a bit.
The thing is I am all for this as I am also against these requirements.
They are a "nice to have" but then having 1GB of RAM for Windows XP was a "nice to have" but it ran on my PC with just 256MB.
I accepted it wouldn't be as good, but that was my choice. So it should be our choice if we are using secure boot. By all means flash a warning telling us this, but allow us the chance to accept the risk.
We all know Windows 11 runs eitherway.
Anyway my concern is while Windows 10 is still supported there are no real incentives for MS to patch this all out.
When Win 10 end of life happens then that's when I worry they will block all these methods.
I have a PC that meets the requirements, and another that doesnt. And I am not willing to pay for new hardware to keep using Windows.
Dude I am dumbfounded as to how easy that was. Went from Win 10 23H2 to Win 11 23H2. On a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T running 16GB Mem. And it's flawless. You have gained a subscriber.
I used your easy method to go from 10 to 11, no problems, thanks!
FYI unsupported hardware doesn't always run windiws 11 slower than windows 10. I've ran windows 11 on a Ryzen 5 2400G for quite a while and it actually runs 11 faster than than it runs windows 10.
this only confirm that the majority of the requirements is virtual requirements they did choose to add for no reason.. The TPM requirement is 100% virtual limitation.
There is many computers in the wold that are strong enough to run windows 11 without issues or low performance but they dont have the "TPM 2.0" ..
But i see it like this, if M$ want to kick away and ban their users for no reason its their right.. but they will loose paying customers..
Most people i have seen stick to windows 10 while they think if they should change OS or accept what M$ is doing.. My guess is that the majority of those users will use windows 10 even after the support is killed.
The update from Windows 11 22H2 to Windows 11 22H2 using this (Windows 11 23H2 enablement package) worked.
Thanks for all have been doing.

Thanks man worked like a charm!! Now I have a levono thinkpad L450 running windows 11
Does installing 11 on an unsupported machine allow for future security patches and updates?
Kinda. What I mean by this is that if there is a major revision, you might have to clean install.
Devices that do not meet these system requirements will no longer be guaranteed to receive updates, including but not limited to security updates.
Ok, I went to your sponsor and totally dig them. My systems are older and if they could run Win7 without labor they can run 10. Only ONE can run 11. I dont need or want 11. Keep in mind, I ran XP then 7 for 15yrs as IT Admin in a company of 50.
Thank you my man . That was to easy and you have a new subsciber .
Hey Dude, a thanks for the help I received . This video made it so easy, enabling me to install Windows 11 on my unsupported PC.
But, do I really want to upgrade to Windows 11, or delay it as much as possible?
Delay, win 10 is more stable.
Windows 11 is getting a lot better. However, all of my systems are still on Windows 10.
Wow, that's a lot of work. I'm running Debian 12 and the trend seems to lean towards more hardware support rather than less. I was using and AMD FX-6100 until last year and it was noticeably faster than my mother's, much more modern, Windows 10 laptop. I really only parked it because it had a ton of up hours and I was starting to worry about it. What's happening over there in Microsoft land? Are you all OK?
Been running Debian for years now too.. Recently upgraded my workstation to Haswell i7.. running Debian 12 with power to spare. Some Microsoft users are like battered wives. Often don't know how bad off they are, or how good it could be.
I just completed this on my home system. It worked like a dream. Thanks for the awesome video.
And the tips all worked for my Dell 7720, thank you so much !!!!!!
How dare you call my beloved FX-4350 a potato! :)
That potato is becoming my new favorite computer
Literally it's only job in life today is to do unsupported hardware installs. The rest of the time it just sits underneath my desk collecting dust. 😂🤣
Yeah try to count how many times Rich says Potato in this video. I'm guessing it's over 15. 🤣🤣🤣
I installed this on my Dell laptop and now I'm installing it on my even older (2007) Dell desktop. So far I'm very satisfied the way the product is running. Both of my PC's have had their hard drive upgraded to a solid state drive. On my laptop, I'm not seeing any denigration of system speed. It boots in about 14 seconds. Thanks again and I'll let you know how the desktop goes.
23H2 IS what installed the first try! Nothing extra needed. Thanks!
Funny how you call it potato, in my language, Slovak, or our brother's Czech, we call it šunka, which is ham.
Using slang such as calling something or someone a "potato" is commonly used to refer to being 'lazy or slow' also sometimes meaning 'unexciting or boring', here in the United States.
