@@TheSaxophonistorg Ah, thanks! I'm looking for a new mouthpiece with contemporary sound. Right now, I have a Drake Sanborn and a Jody Jazz Jet for testing at home. I like the Drake, but sometimes, I'd like to produce a slightly warmer sound with it, more like the Jody Jazz Jet. But the Jody Jazz seems not that "big" in dynamics compared to the Drake, so I'd think, the SuperJet may be inbetween?
Do you recommend this mouthpiece for smooth jazz players? I’m looking for something in the range of Eric Marienthal to Nelson Rangell...I currently play Theo Wanne Mantra...I’m looking for something bright but not too bright if you know what I mean.
Giovanni Franzetti it’s a seven. It is very free blowing with the right reed. I am doing a review of the Marenthal as well soon. I’ll let you know how it plays.
No one can sound like dave because 1) He had Polio which changed his body composition and thus his actual position and makes him stand a particular way which changes his airstream and reverberation internally, 2)His mouth cavity is completely different than yours, thus his airstream bounces off a different part of his glandular throat... so they made a mouthpiece that emulates his throat but not the polio aspect which is 50% of dave's sound. So you can get 50% of his sound but never all of it. DONE!
Another fantastic option if you are looking for Sanborn type sound it’s HL 2018 by Gottsu
This mouthpiece is the truth
Fantastic!!! What opening does what you've tested?
Could you give a comparison to the Jody Jazz SuperJet-mouthpiece?
phoenix0i4 very similar. Of course the drake has Sanborn a seal of approval. Perhaps a bit easier to play as well

@@TheSaxophonistorg I watched your review of the Drake Studio. It looks and sounds like the option, I'm longing for. I will try it! Thanks!

Holy cow contemporary sound. Yes,
Nice playing man! Could you tell us how free blowing it feels? And this one’s tip opening please? Thanks for the review!
Giovanni Franzetti I believe I was play on a 7. Very easy and free blowing. If I was in need of a bright piece this would be the one I would choose.
