How come you don’t need the yellow wire?
Hey, sorry so long to reply, but i had to re watch the video to figure out what you were questioning.... okay..... the yellow wire is from my old smoke detectors, in the nest instructions it says if you have the yelllow wire to cut it off and you wont need it, however it doesnt say what it was used for!!?? hmmm.... it does say (obviously) what the white and black wire is for... black is power, white is common..... sorry i cant give you a better explanation... suffice it to say the nest smoke detector doesnt use it whatever it is, hmmmm..... hope this helps and i will be subscribing to your channel, thanks for subscribing to mine and commenting and liking thumbs up, i do appreciate it, Mike
