    Can't wait to try this! My father made my mother a cement hanging flower pot when I was 6 yrs old, I'm 57and that pot is still the same as it was when he made it, I recently lost my mom but the two of us have talked about making a big one. Thanks

      Wow, that is a wonderful story, this makes me glad i make these videos.... quite a while ago you tube stopped payments to small time channels like mine, part of their obliterate the small time creatives that dont get alot of views, but because of viewers like you it makes me want to still keep creating and helping people, thank you so much for your kind words and your comment and your subscription, i really do appreciate it, i have a few more videos i havent completed yet, maybe this will give me the incentive to finish them....hmmm.... Mike

    what was the total cost of the build? Would it be worth doing it or just buying large planters if the actual construction part isnt that important to you?

      The wood sheet i am using is called wafer board. It is used as an under lament on the outside of new buildings or houses. i am using 7/16" wafer board. Here is the update with all the measurements and specific details to build them and sizes, i think the bags of sand were about 3 dollars and the bag of concrete to mix with it was about 4 bucks...and the wood was a 4x8 sheet at 8 bucks.... the reason we built them was we saw them at the concrete planter store buy the house and they were 400 dollars..... here is the link to part 2. ua-cam.com/video/B2TU3T_PBmk/v-deo.html Thank you for subscribing and liking and commenting i really appreciate it, Mike

    How do you move them?

    • @michaelmason636
      @michaelmason636  5 років тому

      We moved them from the garage to the backyard with a two wheel upright delivery cart, very heavy, we finished them in the fall and lucky for us the ground was still hard... you can mix your concrete with some diatomaceous earth, that will make it lighter, hope this helped, thanks for subscribing, commenting and liking my video, i do appreciate it, Mike

      Man, i know, every time i hang onto something, the minute i throw it out, the next week i figure i could have use it on a project, i hate when that happens, only last week i had told my grandson i helped build Comerica Park where the Detroit Tigers play and as proof i took a piece of scrap carpet from there that had little baseballs on it... only to realize i threw it out about 3 months ago, oh well, how long can you really hang on to something before you can call it junk? Thanks again for commenting, liking and subscribing i really do appreciate, good luck with your project, Pipefittermike
