It's quirky, carries a massive large and small battery. It's a hatchback, but very little hatch.

    I have a 2014 Ford C-Max Energí . I bought it with 60k on it for $8500. . After driving 25k mile it has been perfectly reliable. I drive 15 miles to work on electric only. Then I can charge during the day and drive home with electric only. Since I bought it have averaged over 75 mile per gallon. I am thrilled with my car. Usually I get gas ever month or so. This is a comfortable and very economical car.

      My friended traded his Cmax for a Volt. But I thought the Cmax was perfectly fine. You can't beat buying one for $8500, thats inexpensive for a plug in hybrid.

    I got one, it is cool! 42.8 mpg. Can charge to electric for 20 miles

    It’s funny that the used plug-in version is usually much cheaper than the hybrid one (no one want that huge battery), while the new one is really expensive

    It is not a cheap car. We had two Priuses. I have not seen one single review of anyone complaining about cheap plastic. Decent review.

    its only a 12 volt power outlet between the seats (as is true with most modern cars) it would melt the plastic socket if you actually tried to put a 12 volt cigarette lighter in there , the selected transmission mode display's boldly right under drivers gauge cluster.

      One is for the hybrid constant, and one is for the pure electric driving

    I got something wrong with my battery I came full charge I only got about a half of it

      I just bought mine. Last night on full charge by morning gives me 18 miles of range. I am averaging 40.2 mpg on the gas side. 94% positive on my braking skills. It is a 2013 with maxed out features. Problems I notice so far. Brakes. Front end loose and rattles. Air Conditioner putting out warm air, not cold. Signal assembly clicking inside of steering wheel. The overall ride is nice. Visibility is decent. Pep is not so hot so I keep my place and try not to pass. Our Rav4 Hybrid gets 41.2 mpg. Almost the same numbers. Rav4 2021, was $39,000 and C-Max 2013 was $9,000.

      The battery range displayed is only a guess because it depends on how you drive. If you accelrate a lot, drive up big hills, run the AC or heat on high the range will go down. The EV is better in stop & go city traffic & the gas better for highway driving. I bought a used 2016 Cmax & I have actually improved my EV range over the past few weeks.
