Hey Maven. I am truly enjoying all the content you have put out thus far. Back when you were still in WWE, I was still in my late teens in the Philippines, and my cousins and I watched smackdown and raw every week on cable without missing any episode. I have to admit, embarrassing as it may be, back then I never really appreciated you enough being in the ring as my attention was focused on Batista, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, and Eddie Guerrero. However, I am proud to say that I have become a big fan because of your videos on youtube. I appreciate your humility, eloquence, and gift of telling your experiences that really connects with me, and in the process giving me a new perspective of what went on in the world that fascinated me in my teens and throughout my mid 20s. I also find your grateful and appreciative attitude towards your former colleagues and former employer quite refreshing. I wish you even greater success, good sir!
I was pretty obsessed with the WWE about 10 years ago. JUST recently have been diving back into the world of pro wrestling and man, Maven you are the GOAT! Hearing your honest thoughts articulated with such professionalism and kindness is a super super cool way to learn more about it all
There were some good moments when I watched tbh. Not quite like the 90s, nothing tops that era imo. But I liked the feud between Cena and CM Punk. Wasn’t all bad!
This was the first wrestling game i played on ps2. I was 9 in 02 and remember being blown away by this whole game. That blue menu screen brings back good memories.
I actually bought this game in 2004. I was 11. I liked it sooo much! Funny thing: Maven is the first wrestler my character interacted with in story mode.
Maven, watching your videos you can just tell how much you loved and still miss being in the WWE. It would be great to see them bring you back maybe as a commentator or special guest manager for of raw/smackdown.
SYM is probably still my favorite in the series. That season mode was incredible. It felt like a truly flexible career simulation where you had loads of actual choices with legitimate changes in your character's direction. Universe mode is the next best thing but for me the SYM season mode has never been topped.
It was definitely the peak for PS2. Here Comes the Pain might have had more robust create-a-wrestler features, but TBH I might be mis-remembering that. Not quite up there with the THQ N64 titles a year or two earlier IMO though, especially control-wise.
The most interesting thing about this video is that he still got a working ps2. BTW I love a person who can take a dig at himself in a completely confident way. Love this about Maven
Maven, I think you’ll be at 1,000,000 subs before the end of the year. Thank you sooooo much for sharing all of your stories and your experiences with us. I was too young to be a fan of Maven the wrestler in WWE, but I am a huge fan of Maven the content creator. Keep it up!

I gotta say Maven, I’ve always been a fan of yours since I was a kid in the early 2000s and I’m glad that you have this awesome UA-cam channel. Every time you upload a new video, I click it right away.
Hearing your honest thoughts articulated with such professionalism and kindness is a super super cool way to learn more about it all
So you never watched when it was actually good? lol

He's been trying to get in but Covid messed it up in 2020.
I love the way you enjoy explaining videos with smile and contentment.....you're super talented in explaining things.
I genuinely love seeing the views Maven is getting . This is great content for us WWE fans old or new.
Shut your mouth was one of the greatest wrestling games ever, Hands down. I remember how cool maven's moveset were back then.
SYM is probably still my favorite in the series. That season mode was incredible. It felt like a truly flexible career simulation where you had loads of actual choices with legitimate changes in your character's direction. Universe mode is the next best thing but for me the SYM season mode has never been topped.
I always did his infamous drop kick on taker
It was definitely the peak for PS2. Here Comes the Pain might have had more robust create-a-wrestler features, but TBH I might be mis-remembering that. Not quite up there with the THQ N64 titles a year or two earlier IMO though, especially control-wise.
THE BEST GAME EVER!!!
@@djdashdfw🤡
The most interesting thing about this video is that he still got a working ps2.
BTW I love a person who can take a dig at himself in a completely confident way. Love this about Maven
Maven, I think you’ll be at 1,000,000 subs before the end of the year. Thank you sooooo much for sharing all of your stories and your experiences with us. I was too young to be a fan of Maven the wrestler in WWE, but I am a huge fan of Maven the content creator. Keep it up!
Lmao. I remembered playing this game and running into you backstage. You introduced yourself and the reply I chose was "Nice eyebrows." 😂
Had an interest in your career since the ‘Tough Enouh’ series and always pulled for you
big up maven and thanks to mods we still get to have you in wwe games legend
🙏🏽👍🏽
Binging your videos is really helping me on my journey to sobriety. Love from Denver 💙🤙🏾
Keep going man, you got this.
@@shaneiacinsaniac thanks man. I appreciate 🤙🏾
Keep going brother ✝️🖤👏
18 months sober myself in 9 days. As Shane said, you’re got this 👍🏻
Good luck and keep going.
@@That_Random_Bloke thanks brother, I appreciate it
The Fact You Busted Out A PS2 For This ALONE Needs To Acknowledged!! Man, I Absolutely Love Your Videos...Your Takes, Your Unbiased Emotions Towards The Business...
I was a freshman/sophomore in high school for your Tough Enough season, prime reality TV demo. Definitely the most genuine wrestling channel on YT. Thanks for reappearing. Half a lifetime later (for me) and you’re still entertaining us! Hope that announcing job comes back around, I can hear Theory giving you grief for your immaculate eyebrows cause he’s jelly 🤣.
Hey Mavin. I remember watching you as a kid. I'm 31 now.😅 I remember the storyline with you and HHH and sadly never got to see how that ended. I'm a fan of your videos. You're awesome, very humble, and a genuinely kind person. Thank you.
Maven is such an awesome and humble dude. Since finding this channel I've subscribed to peacock and began watching back through the attitude era.. really looking forward to Maven showing up.
My favorite game might have to be shut your mouth or just bring it! Maven i just want to say as a fan of wrestling from mid 90s-2010ish i just want to say thank you being a genuine person & for letting us into your world. Much love brother man.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I used to forget that SYM was the only game you were ever in, I know they cut you out of SvR 2006 due to your 2005 release that year which is crazy because that game still had people in it that were released the same time you were.
I gotta say Maven, I’ve always been a fan of yours since I was a kid in the early 2000s and I’m glad that you have this awesome UA-cam channel.
Every time you upload a new video, I click it right away.
I’ve been binging the Attitude Era recently on Peacock and I just passed the episode of SmackDown where you did your debut, I can’t wait to get to the 2002 Rumble to watch your Dropkick and you eliminating The Undertaker.
he wasnt in the first smackdown vs raw? that came out 2004
@@bigbananadealer846For some weird reason he wasn't :(
@@bigbananadealer846 He wasn't in Here Comes the Pain either.
@@bigbananadealer846 Nope, SYM was his only game sadly.
In the attitude era among a lots of real superstar, you were really unique maven. So good to watch ya maven. The same you are doing as a youtuber, your videos are really unique and so good to watch
250k!! Dude, you’re channel is growing so quickly, and it’s absolutely deserved! Congratulations on your continued success brother 🙏
Maven looks ready to tell you the secrets to success in life
He’s gone through the best and worst times and I’m happy to listen to them from both sides
Maven, you have robbed me of sleep. I can't stop watching. Keep it up.
This, without a doubt, is the best wrestling channel on UA-cam.
Keep up the great work and even better things are ahead for you.
Agreed Stevie
just Stevie kicked the like button
I feel like every video you are more yourself, more relaxed in front of the camera and every video is better and better. Love it. Keep doing what you are doing.
Just so locked in. The perfect content with the perfect attitude towards the experience. Well done, Maven.
A couple of good laughs in that one but the sign making fun of your eyebrows in the video game was over the top! The ability to poke fun at yourself shows the strength in character and Poise you exemplify!
OMG you still have the OG PS2 Fat version! So cool (like Carlito haha)
It's cool that you got to be in a WWE game, and it's nice of you to explain the process of getting into the game in detail.
I have a PS2, too, but the slim one. My games are now stored in a hard disk since the DVD drive is a bit faulty.
OMG is a misnomer

I don't watch WWE anymore, but I still love listening to podcasts, etc. of the superstars I grew up with for the insight on cool behind the scenes stuff like this, so it was a treat discovering your channel! Shut Your Mouth is one of the few WWE games I still play to this day, and one of my all-time favorites in general. It really holds up well for being 20+ years old.
Knowing Mave still has a ps2 warms my heart
Stories like the one about Jeff Hardy are why I watch. What a great insight in to the psychology of why guys do what they do.
I was never a big Maven fan, but I find myself enjoying watching his content and learning things about wrestling that I've always wondered
Congratulations! your voice, your content, your overall skills are why I ALWAYS Love your videos, thank you
8:13 Rey Mysterio admitted this is why he has so many different mask designs. It means they have to rescan him and do a different action figure each time.
I don't even watch WWE but I'm still entranced by all your vids
Maven youre an absolute legend I love your positive energy. Thanks for bringing back the Ps2 memories ^^
To be completely honest, I never liked you, but after seeing you in person, I can see that you're a really lovely guy, and I hope to see you back in the WWE if there is a chance. You also have the most flawless drop kick. Now I'm your fan 😊 thanks for your videos
Bro this game is one of the greatest WWE games ever. Great time to be in WWE and to be immortalized in a game. I played this so much when I was a kid. Remember the day I got it!
Lots of love from the UK, your channel has been such a fascinating, legit not "rumour" insight. Click as soon as an upload appears!
Congratulations on a quarter of a million subs Maven, well deserved. 👏 🎉
🙏🏽 thanks brotha. YOUR a part of it. (I’m assuming you’re subscribed!) haha
LOVE from Scotland, these videos are brilliant.
The graphics were really good for back then, wow, I remember this game fondly. Great roster too
I really love videos because you tell us about your experience in the WWE. But you also show us how you film your videos too. It's like a two in one video and because of you I got back into watching wrestling again. I wish you tons of love and support from Gallup, New Mexico.
Maven, these videos are amazing. You are so well spoken and transparent. I’ve learned so much about wrestling thanks in part to you. Keep up the awesome work!
30 bands is insane holy shit. I love this channel
I won't lie. I kinda stopped watching wrestling after the Attitude Era so I didn't see much of you but, you found a niche market in what you're doing. Luv the vids and have always been fascinated what happens behind the scenes. Keep up the great work Mavin! Luv it!
Holy hell! Who knew this man’s secret talent was amazing content creation? I haven’t watched wrestling since the end of the stone cold era but I’m fascinated by the way this man authentically breaks down the wrestling business in retrospect. Most importantly, he’s being honest and real, a lost trait in humanity lately. Godspeed Maven, your future is bright!
Maven is a legend.
WWE gave up on him too soon.
He’s got the whole package
u used the word legend too loosely
Hardly
@@ObiWanShinobi85dude stop being negative he's a legend to us and if one day he chooses to wrestle again he already has fans from his UA-cam like us we will be cheering him on the way so don't be like that be encouraging and supportive he has given us so much info on wrestling he's preparing us for the next week game
He may not have been outstanding during the ruthless aggression era but he's ever bit as good if not better than 70% of the guys out nowadays.
The WWE games under THQ were awesome. '13's Attitude Era campaign was fun to experience as I didn't know anything about it b4
Man, you were super underrated. Never forget the drop kicks.
Best drop kicks in the business
Really insightful video Maven! I was always interested in learning about the behind the scenes aspects of WWE video games development and how you guys would get scanned, this video answered all my questions perfectly. Thank you for making it. 😊
